Real life medical update:

Top surgery went great! I’ve been healing for over two months. However a few things have happened on my medical journey:

I went as saw a specialist at Duke University and I now have an official diagnosis for hEDS. I have been in an awful flare for about a month. My body pain is through the roof, I haven’t been able to really keep any food in my body. I haven’t lost around 15 pounds. I had some testing done today and hope to get answers. Because I’ve been so sick money is once again very thin and not something I can bring in. I’m still waiting on a disability ruling.

I had my first PET scan since my cancer remission and everything looked pretty good with the exception of a 3mm nodule in the top lobe of my right lung. Right now it’s not calcified and something to keep an eye on.

I am sharing this again, mostly to cover my own persona monthly bills (car payment, therapy, credit card payments) and medical bills. (Yall these specialists are killing me)

New normal for me ✨🖤

Something I was really vulnerable about was becoming an ambulatory cane user. I think it really came from a place of accepting that it is a part of my life now and I will have a new normal moving forward. I won’t always have to use it. But between my hyper mobility issues and blackouts from dysautonomia it’s a safety measure that I am going to take.

Im in the end stretch. I’ve got two weeks until I’m back in the real world and things are SUPER tight. This will probably be one of the last times I share my gofundme for top surgery reasons and I hope to not have to share it again for other medical reasons for a looooong time.
