So I've been working on 'Mind Heist', a Roxy-centric alternative retelling of Security Breach for the last year and finally seem to be at a point where I can start posting chapters. The first chapter is now up on A03! Here's the summary:

"Following a stage-dive incident, Roxanne Wolf knows she is already in a world of trouble. And if that was not enough, now there are two children trapped in the PizzaPlex after midnight, and it is a long weekend! All she wants to do is help and keep them safe. But if that is the case, why do they keep running from her? Why are they so scared? And where did all of this blood come from...?"

Was a little depressed yesterday but this certainly helped!

Was in an angsty mood so here's angsty Loona.

Seeing a fuller picture of her backstory, I wonder if Loona’s perceived apathy and laziness towards her job and coworkers due to that being her actual nature, or has she just internalized the caretaker’s comments (which she might have been hearing her whole life from her and other people) and has resigned herself to it?

Loona’s been shown to have a lot of talents, not to mention since she has a human disguise, it means she can also cast magic since the imps can’t seem to. And she clearly does understand, to an extent, how to reason with people shown in her talk with Octavia. Loona does have the potential to be hardworking, sensitive and clever, which has been shown many times.

But suppose everyone around you, your whole life has only said how you would fail, never be loved or amount to anything. In that case, it’s not unlikely that one day Loona decided “Fuck it, if that’s all anyone will ever expect of me, what’s the point in trying to be anything else?”

Hardrock Roxy’s been in the Plex for less than half a hour and wasted no time in trying her luck with the nearest person she sees. Which unfortunately happens to be the sweet-natured, slightly ditzy chicken who made the mistake of walking around a corner.
