hi :) are you open to sharing any artists/specific pieces you draw inspiration from or you feel has influenced your art style? i'm always so curious about an artists relationship to their work but know it can be quite a personal thing and would love to hear more about whatever you're comfortable sharing!
Hi! :) You're right that most of the time one's relationship with art is very personal and I feel that I tend to be very disperse, so I'm inspired by a looot of things, but my school has always been people that have surrounded me throughout my life (family, friends, teachers, etc), people that I've admired, have deeply influenced me and how I conceive art in general. In terms of style I would say that I have always liked expressionism and magic realism and I think both combined make a beautiful fusion. If I had to name some famous artists that have inspired me it would be Munch, Kollwitz, van Gogh, Frida Kahlo, Hokusai and a lot of artists who share their work on social media. And although it may seem weird, i get a lot of inspiration from music too! I like the chaos in art, the crazy lines and often nonsense colours, the strange and the imperfect, because I think that's what makes a piece unique. But when I apply it myself, I struggle with that because I tend to be very structured and perfectionist, it's very contradictory. Also, art is just a hobby for me and I've never studied it so I still have a lot to learn, it's a way to let out everything I have in my chest, which is quite a lot... hsakhdahd
I know I haven't shown many pieces yet, but I intend to do so soon, it's just that time is getting too short and the days are going by too fast!
Thanks for your questiooon, it brought back some good memories :')
If you're willing, i'd also like to know what is your relationship with art, in any form. Obviously, if you're not comfortable, you don't have to do it! no pressure
