Sirius was met with people. Lots of them. Square dancing.

He was absolutely ecstatic, he almost felt like he was in a movie. The place itself was big enough to dance in at least, the tables and chairs wrapping around the “dancefloor” which seemed to be covered in grass and dirt. Almost everything was made of a dark wood, pillars going up to the roof and support beams running across. The warm toned lights bounced off the shiny bar countertop, shimmering through the bottles shelved in front of a mirror.

The energy was almost electric. He watched men and women square dance together, almost laughing at how unreal it seemed. Everyone wore cowboy boots, hats, the big buckles, everything. He was absolutely enthralled. So enthralled in fact, he had hardly noticed when he managed to walk right into the bar.

“Well, hello there then.” A thick southern accent drawled, laughing lightly.

Sirius shot back upright, now seeing the source of the voice. She couldnt be over 5’5, all beautiful curves and a cute, wavy bob. Truly she was gorgeous, it was a pity Sirius was as bent as they come.

“Hello,” His eyes flicked down to the name tag on her chest “Mary. You are positively stunning, can I get a whiskey please.” He slid into a seat at the bar, drumming his fingers on the table subconsciously.

Mary laughed and smiled, a little pink in the ears.

“Ooh, European! What brings you here then?”

“Cowboys.” He was almost joking. Almost.

That brings another smile to her face. “Theres plenty of those out there, im sure youll have no problem, honey.” Mary set down Sirius’ drink on the table, gave him a wink and then moved to another customer.

Sirius pressed his lips to the glass, the sudden sensation of being watched washing over him. As the flavor of liquor engulfed him, the feeling intensified. He swallowed thickly and set down the glass, his eyes moving to the source like a magnet. There, staring into his soul was the most gorgeous man he'd ever seen in his life. He was kicked back in the very last seat of the bar with his back against the wall. His worn, deep blue flannel was sinfully unbuttoned, leading Sirius’ attention down to the chunk of metal that was his full moon belt buckle. He wore dirty, almost overworked cowboy boots and a beautiful, pristine cowboy hat.

Sirius was about ready to combust. His inky black hat cast a shadow over his eyes, and Sirius was desperate for more. He searched man's face for any other defining features, and he realized with warming cheeks that under the light brown stubble there were..Scars?
