Here is one thing that bugged me about Celebrity Pharmacology: I didn’t like how the group treated Annie at the end of the episode. I understand why they were upset. Her indulging Pierce was definitely bad, especially after she roped everyone into doing the play. They had a right to be angry. But I was hoping at least one study group member would have actually cared why Annie was allowing Pierce to take over in the first place. They acted like she was getting money from him just for the hell of it, like she didn’t need money to live off of. 

Yes, she needed to have a little push to get her to take the next step in developing her independence, meaning she had to get a job. That doesn’t mean she doesn’t need someone to talk to. Most of them all have parents they can go to if they need help. Annie’s parents may still be alive, but she can’t get any actual support from them since they cut her off. Pierce is the one all this anger should have been directed at. He saw an opportunity to exploit her and took advantage of it. I mean, she was going around selling soda cans and looking in to selling her eggs (like, undergoing actual surgery)! She was desperate and still trying to figure out to live on her own. 

So yeah, just wanted someone to at least talk to her and try to understand.

mabel being just naturally in tune with gravity falls. 

the gnomes come for her almost as soon as she arrives and she uses gideon’s amulet with ease

canon things that Kaz has said/thought about Inej that I always forget about until I reread:

she is his greatest weakness

“I’m going to get my money, Kaz said. And I’m going to get my girl.”

his breath catches EVERY TIME that he looks at her

“I couldn’t bear to watch you fall”

he imagined watching her braid come uncoiled and wrapping it in his hand and rubbing his thumb over the pattern of the plait

he has had thoughts of Inej that involve moonlight and silk and hair

he trusts her and knows she is the one person who would never betray his weaknesses

he would die to see her smile /that way/ again

he bought her a warship (I haven’t forgotten this part but I couldn’t leave it off the list because the Bastard of the Barrel literally made her dream possible even though it means she will be away from him)

“say you’ll return” (!!!!!!!!!!) (I always, ALWAYS forget this line and it kicks me right in the gut when I reread it. He. Said. THAT.)

they had all been up for hours.

like an ungodly length of time

the job they were working on had taken the majority of the past two days, allowing for little to no sleep

kaz was pretty sure he caught wylan sleeping standing up at one point (doing that thing where your head keeps falling forward cause you’re nodding off)

they were supposed to steal a bank statement and business agreements from the inside of a merchers house but things had gone a bit astray

the man had come home extremely early from him monthly visit to the countryside, kaz assuming he had gotten poor results at the races

now everything had to be watched, had to be timed, there was no room for any mistakes

inej would be the one to crawl across the roof, down into the office window, something she had done nearly a thousand times by now

kaz stood watch from behind, wylan and jesper walked along the street, not-so-accidentally crossing paths with the man and coughing to set the plan in motion

inej has been waiting, her body crunched at an awkward angle, laying on her belly and waiting to scale the steep decline of the roof

she watched as kaz nodded to her, the cue she had been waiting for. she skittered along quickly, her bones and muscles aching

she worked at the lock quickly, her fingers trembling as it clicked open

she swung it inward, slipping in silently. immediately she went to the cabinet kaz had directed her to

inej had never been more grateful for an organized mercher in her entire life.

below her, she heard the front door creak, the mans heavy footsteps against the wooden floorboards

that was her cue.

she tucked the statements and files into her vest, snug against her chest. she crossed the room to the window once more, careful to avoid the loose floorboard she had noticed the first time.

she stepped out onto the small window ledge, locking the window behind her and crawling down the brickwork

she turned into an alley, crossing two streets to reach the inn they had agreed upon meeting at. she didn’t stop at the bar or the desk, instead climbed the stairs to the fifth room on the right. she knocked and nina answered.

they all breathed a collective sigh of relief as she pulled the papers out of her vest and tossed them on the rickety side table.

as the rest of them chatted and celebrated, inej walked over to kaz by the window.

“the wraith saves the day once again.”

she laughed, rubbing the back of her neck, “i cut it close.”

“but you always make it.”

kaz noticed as she rubbed both shoulders, turning her head as if trying to relieve some tension. “are you alright?”

inej nodded, dismissing his concern, “just tired.”

he knew that what she really meant to say was exhausted. she had been scaling up and down the same building for two days straight, he was sure her body was beginning to feel the affects of the odd positions required.

“come here.”

he pulled her close, tossing his gloves onto the chair next to him and placing his hands on her shoulders. he gently worked away at the knots in her back, cautious of not making them any worse.

kaz then leaned down and pressed a gentle kiss to the crown of her head. “any better?”

inej turned and gave him a sleepy smile, as she nodded.

he wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her to his chest. her head laid against him as she let her eyes close.

it was then kaz noticed that silence had blanketed the room and every set of eyes was on them. his voice turned rough again, the gentleness replaced by the rock salt. “what?”

nina spoke first, never afraid of kaz’s tempers, “don’t play dumb, brekker. you know what.”

and he did. of course he did.

“all these years and i couldn’t even get a hug but inej gets a massage and a cuddle? seems a bit unfair.” jesper crossed his arms over his chest, his face split by a sly smile.

kaz could only roll his eyes. he felt inej laugh. clearly everyone was really enjoying this.

“what’s it like, wraith? is it cozy in there? i wouldn’t know!”

she turned enough so her voice wouldn’t be muffled by his shirt. “it’s alright.”

kaz couldn’t help but smile. inej looked up at him then and touched her nose to the bottom of his jaw. he pressed another kiss to her forehead.

matthias leaned against the wall behind the bed. “all of you quit it. it’s all fun and games until the demjin decides he’s had enough of the joke.”

“oh, helvar, don’t feel the need to stop on my account.” his tone was dripping with sarcasm, coming like a growl from the back of his throat

wylan gave his opinion on the matter by simply saying, “finally.”

they all laughed. to his surprise, kaz felt himself laugh with them.

this moment hadn’t been something he’d looked forward to. the idea of showing other people what had grown between him and inej had actually made him a bit anxious.

he was sure that it would be a sight to see: kaz brekker holding onto inej, kissing her as if they were simply another couple. he had been expecting for them to view it as some kind of spectacle, to ogle at and ask questions like it was their business. but they hadn’t.

they had smiled and laughed together, simply happy for them. happy for the broken boy and girl that had worked so hard to simply touch the other.

The Crows on a Road Trip

-Wylan is definitely that one friend™ that packs all of the fruit and gluten free snacks in the brown paper bags and passes them out when everyone starts to get hangry

-Matthias is the driver, because the only other good driver is Inej and she doesn’t like going long distances

-Nina is that one person on every road trip. You know the one.

-”Are we there yet?”

-”I’m hungry!” “You just ate an entire box of Oreos.”

-MATTHIAS AND NINA PULLING A FULL MULAN AND SHANG AND ARGUING ABOUT ASKING FOR DIRECTIONS

-Wylan gets carsick

-So does Kaz, but he’ll never admit it

-Jesper taking this opportunity to rub circles on Wylan’s back soothingly

-THE ARGUMENTS ABOUT THE RADIO OH MY GOSH

-”For the last time, Jesper, we are NOT listening to eighties music!”

-”IT IS THE BEST GENRE OF ALL TIME,  NINA.”

-”I still think my music is better…”

-”Wylan, all you listen to are classical symphonies and Broadway showtunes.”

-”Well, they’re quality!”

-”GUYS. SHAWN MENDES.”

-”NINA, WE’VE ALREADY LISTENED TO STITCHES TEN TIMES.”

-Kaz and Inej predicted this would happen, and packed their own earbuds accordingly.

-In the end, Matthias gets to choose because he’s the driver, and everybody groans when he puts on some weird Gregorian chant.

-Wylan is really just a Harry Potter nerd and they’re his favorite books for Jesper to read to him so they’re cuddled in the backseat, Wylan’s head on his shoulder, Jesper’s arm around his back, crying at all of the deaths and eventually falling asleep in each other’s arms

-Inej thinking it’s the cutest thing ever until Jesper starts loudly snoring

-Kaz wondering how they ever got him to agree to this

-Matthias currently staying awake off of Peanut M&Ms and Starbucks double mocha caramel frappuccinos 

-Which he makes Nina order for him at the rest stops because his masculinity mUST BE PRESERVED (Anybody else see that interview with Leigh XD)

-Nina just laughing and agreeing

-Finally everyone makes Matthias turn the chants off and they take Wylan’s suggestion and start listening to Hamilton, which is the only thing they can agree on

-These nerds are assigning each other parts and they all have to sing along accordingly

-Wylan gets all of Eliza’s parts, which he is very happy with because Jesper is Hamilton

-Everyone else picks their jaws up off the floor because Wylan has a bEAUTIFUL singing voice

-Like he SLAYS all of Eliza’s belty riffs in the Schuyler Sisters and Helpless like w o a h 

-But whenever someone compliments him, he breaks character and goes back to being a blushing mess and mumbles, “thank you”

-Matthias can also surprisingly sing very well

-But everyone else is actually terrible

-Like horrendously bad

-”You’ll be Back” was torturous because it was just Nina singing by herself for three minutes straight

-Kaz secretly enjoying himself

-But right when everybody starts to get hangry, having finished all of Wylan’s healthy snacks hours earlier, they start to get at each other’s throats

-Everyone is swearing and moaning and it’s terrible

-So when they find an I-Hop, it’s like walking into heaven

-And they gorge themselves on waffles and pancakes

-And Jesper flirting heavily with Wylan the entire time, causing him to blush furiously

-Kaz just rolls his eyes and says, “Get a room,” but secretly is the captain of that ship
