Hey guys, i know i don’t have the most followers in the world, but this strong woman here reached out to me to share her story.
Please share this forward and support her and her family!!!
🕊️ Please Take a Moment to Read Nadin’s Story
My name is Nadin. I never imagined I would write something like this. I’ve always been someone who kept her worries quiet, someone who believed that even the hardest days could be endured with patience and faith. But right now, I am reaching out — not because I want to, but because I need to.
I am a wife, a mother, and one of many women in Gaza trying to survive days that feel like they have no end. There was a short time — a brief ceasefire — where we thought things might start to heal. Where the sound of war faded for just long enough to let us breathe. But that moment is gone now, and the fear has returned louder than before.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My days are filled with uncertainty, and my nights with prayer. We have lost so much. Our home was damaged, our sense of safety taken from us. But through all of this, I try to keep going. I try to hold on to what little peace I can create with my hands, my words, and my love.
I am not asking for much. Just a little help to keep our lives from falling further apart. To fix the small things — a cracked wall, a leaking roof, the pieces of daily life that help us hold on to dignity.
This campaign isn’t just about survival. It’s about holding on to what makes us human in a place that keeps trying to take that away. It’s about showing my daughter — even though I won’t mention her name here — that the world didn’t forget us.
If you’ve ever felt powerless in the face of suffering, please know that even the smallest gesture can carry great meaning. A kind word. A shared post. A quiet donation. These things remind us that we’re not alone.
I am still here. Still holding on. Still believing that people out there — people like you — still care.
Please, if you feel moved, consider supporting or sharing this campaign.

Paradise Kiss: I’m Glad Yukari is the “Other Woman”
⚠️SPOILER WARNING⚠️
Let’s play some LDR in here, we’re about to get serious!
Paradise Kiss is a manga and anime by Ai Yazawa, who also created Nana (which I realized is more recognized by the public)
Tumblr media
It follows the story of Yukari, an 18 year old girl who’s spent her whole life revolving around academics. After a strange encounter with a group of fashion students at a neighboring school, all of Yukari’s prejudices are thrown out the window when she models for their upcoming fashion show.
The characters involved include Miwako, a bubbly girl which I will analyze later, George, the main love interest playboy, Arashi, Miwako’s boyfriend whose downright terrible, and Isabella, the only normal one of the group who I would absolutely die for. But as of this moment, we are gonna focus of George and Yukari.
Tumblr media
I call Yukari “the other woman” because unlike most anime plots, the main heroine DOESN’T get the guy at the end. And that’s what makes this anime and manga so incredible. The breakup at the end needed to happen.
Yukari meets George pretty spontaneously, as he was the one who encouraged her to model for the fashion show- and I mean, he did anything it took, even if it involved some manipulation on his end.
It can’t be denied that their relationship is extremely toxic. He’s a womanizer who keeps Yukari guessing about his other relationships. If you watch the show/read the manga for yourself, you’ll feel uncomfortable when the two interact. It’s that feeling you get when you have two friends whose relationship is so iffy that you KNOW it’s not gonna work. George does have his reasons for being the way he is, like his relationship with his mother and how it affected the way he sees certain aspects of a relationship and a person, but the relationship is unstable regardless. And Yukari knows this for a fact.
Tumblr media
Most mangas would end with the main couple ending up together. But no, at the end of the series, George has plans in another country, and Yukari has dreams. In able to achieve their full potential, sacrifices have to be made. This includes their relationship.
What makes this amazing is that George even invited Yukari to come with him, but she refused. The growth and self-love George and the group have taught her to embrace has fully been sunken into her skin in the best way possible, even if it was learned the hard way. She can put herself first over their relationship.
Yukari ends up becoming a full-time model and marries the person she was interested in before George came along. She seems to be content, even if she didn’t “get the guy.” And that’s what’s so amazing. She didn’t need to, Yukari was complete all along.

Gender and Sexuality in Sailor Moon
⚠️SPOILER WARNING⚠️
Everyone by now knows that Sailor Moon isn’t shy about its queer characters….(Except if you’ve only watched the DiC dub. My goodness, what’s up with the whole “cousin” thing?)…so let’s give these characters some love!
For this post specifically, I’m going to focus on Usagi, Haruka, Michiru, the Sailor Starlights, and Mamoru. Yes, I do love and adore Kunzite, Zoisite, and Fish Eye, but I would need to do a lot more research on them if I were to discuss them.
Tumblr media
First, I’m going to bring out the elephant in the room (I love this phrase so much). Yes, Mamoru, otherwise known as Tuxedo Mask, has been portrayed as queer. This can be seen in “Sailor Moon R: The Movie.” In this movie, he is shown to have very close past relations with Fiore, an alien who found himself on Earth as a child and befriended young Mamoru. Though it is never mentioned straight up (like many of these character’s relationships), it is shown that there was definitely a strong bond between the two- and this does not include Fiore’s obsession with Mamoru throughout the film.
Tumblr media
To further prove my point, my Roman Empire has to be one of the English voice actors of the movie saying straight up that Mamoru and Fiore had a queer relationship during a panel (this was a feature on the movie’s DVD. My little twelve year old brain couldn’t get that memory out of my head.) I could only find snippets of the talk online but the whole thing is available if you have the DVD!
Tumblr media
Next I’ll talk about the trio that has been itching my mind ever since I finished the Sailor Stars arc. The Sailor Starlights are three characters who present male in their civilian form, but when transformed into Sailor Guardians, present as women.
In the manga they are noted to be referred as women no matter how they present themselves, but in the anime they are referred to as however they are presenting at that given moment.
Tumblr media
I find this to be very cool because let’s face it, it was the 90’s. Name a show that was so straight up about gender expression at this level (no literally, please do, I’m curious.)
We can never forget the iconic couple, Michiru and Haruka. Their relationship has never been outright called out (like in terms of them saying “oh this is my girlfriend!”) but it is no secret that the two are romantically involved.
In the Sailor Moon stage play, in fact, two actresses were able to sneak in a kiss..
Tumblr media
Focusing more on Haruka, she is a gender nonconforming character. She doesn’t mind being called a man or woman, and dresses in masculine clothing. Her style and charm has definitely caught the eye of every sailor guardian, especially Usagi..
Usagi has always been played off as a hopeless romantic, and her romances don’t just focus on guys! Yes, Mamoru is her soulmate, but we can never forget her moments with Haruka and Seiya.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I love Sailor Moon and how it’s not afraid to protray LGBTQ+ characters, especially for being in the 90’s. Let me know who I missed and more about Kunzite, Zoisite, and Fish Eye if you can!!! I’m rewatching the first season so maybe I can get more info on them.
Peace!

The Guy She Was Interested in Wasn’t a Guy at All: An Offbeat Romance
❌No Spoilers❌
I say no spoilers because this can all be found in the series description and first chapter. If you want to go into this series completely clean, not knowing what it’s about at all, then stop reading and go for it!
Tumblr media
Anyways.
For a brief synopsis of the series, picture this: You’re a popular, fashionable girl who fits the stereotypical “preppy” title in some sort of way (or gyaru if you will). But you stand out from the rest. Why? Maybe because you have Aerosmith or Skid Row blasting in your ears as you’re finding an old MTV music video to watch as your friends are talking about the latest drama.
And before you’re all like “Pick me! She’s a pick me!” Don’t even. Aya, the girl I was just describing, is anything but. She’s just a fashionista with music taste that doesn’t align with her style, or the style of anyone around her. And with that in mind, it’s no surprise she’s at least a tad bit lonely.
Tumblr media
But this loneliness is short lived once she finds her way into the life of a cute CD store worker, who shares the same music taste as her. Just like that, a crush is born!
Aya can’t help but rant to her friends at school about this new person in her life. Her rants catch the attention of Mitsuki, a girl with a striking resemblance to the guy Aya’s interested in…
Tumblr media
My goodness, I binged this series in an entire day. This series perfectly captures the whole “falling for a girl for the first time” feeling in such a fresh way. The characters are extremely well written and fleshed out, especially the main duo.
I find Aya the most relatable to me because she’s just such a hopeless romantic, I love her. And yes! Expect many music references, you’ll be surprised. Not to mention probably the most iconic moment in history (chapter 26).
If you like music and lighthearted romance (that can be real when needed to be), give this one a shot! Btw, on Twitter, the author Sumiko Arai posts many cool doodles of the series!

I Love Amy: The Coolest Webcomic I’ve Ever Read
⚠️MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD!!! I TRIED TO BE AS VAGUE AS POSSIBLE⚠️
Usually I’m extremely picky with webcomics, as I’m not afraid to drop them the moment I lose interest. So when I say this webcomic is interesting, it’s INTERESTING.
In fact, it may be one of my favorite ones.
Tumblr media
“I Love Amy” is a webcomic released under Peanutoon back in 2022. It follows Bibi Reden, a cutesy girl with a bunny motif who has an obsessive crush on a boy named Peter. Once she finds Amy Lee, a shy girl in her grade talking to him, Bibi immediately befriends her and tries to get Amy to help her get with Peter. But plot-twist…they fall in love with each-other instead.
Psychological horror, drama, romance, and comedy? I’m hooked.
My first impressions were that it was gonna be a stereotypical yandere story, with Bibi set with the motive to KILL Amy in the beginning for talking to her crush. But it’s much more than that.
Tumblr media
Bibi is a canon psychopath, who portrays traits of the disorder that are commonly expressed. But even so, the author definitely did their research. Bibi is low on empathy, has a tendency to lie, and can’t decipher right from wrong. But unlike contrary belief, she not incapable of love; she just loves people in her own special way, wanting to “keep them forever.” This is shown how she obsesses over Peter, and then later on, Amy.
Tumblr media
What makes this series amazing is that her disorder is not her only “personality trait.” (Which by the way, disorders aren’t.) Bibi is very energetic, cheerful, and sticks to her ideals. She’s unique and is still able to think about others (or those she likes at least). Bibi is so well-written, how could you not fall in love with her? And speaking about love, this is where her love interest comes in.
Tumblr media
Amy Lee is the definition of “plain-“ until you look a little bit deeper.
After a traumatic event involving her mother as a child, Amy lives with her aunt. Though she is loved and cared for in her current household and those around her, she still exhibits clear symptoms of PTSD. This causes her to be socially anxious and withdrawn, showing more signs of a social phobia than just pure introversion. But, she remains kindhearted and loyal. Amy is very down to earth too- a trait that’s personally to die for.
With Bibi’s eccentric personality and Amy’s closed off persona, they are like night and day. So, how could two different people possibly fall in love? Simple; naturally, like any other person. Even with their complexities, they are still able to love each-other whole-heartedly.
The webcomic also deals with themes about the effects of trauma, friendship issues (which I will get into another time), and sheds light onto family issues and grief. For such a cutesy-art style comic, it deals with every topic in such a unique and accurate way that I was really impressed.
So please, give this webcomic a shot!!!

Sailor Moon: An Accurate Representation of Girlhood
⚠️SPOILER WARNING⚠️
I was about eleven years old when I started watching Sailor Moon. I watched the new dub, with no censorship, on Hulu.
At that time the “not like other girls” movement was going hella strong, causing everyone to be a pick me, essentially. It was the worst thing ever, trust me, like everyone in my silly little middle school trying to be “one of the boys.” What really sucks is that I was no exception. So me, a tween girl who was low-key ashamed of her femininity watching Sailor Moon kinda left an impact.
Tumblr media
When I first started watching, I was like “this is NOT how a teen girl acts.” (Which is kinda ironic for a literal kid to say). Usagi Tsukino introduced herself as this fourteen year old girl who was boy-crazy, ditsy, and clumsy. She was not that relatable at the time, as I couldn’t picture myself as this crybaby sweetheart of a person. I was an overachiever with straight A’s who had “my entire life” all planned out super young. How could I ever relate to that silly goose?
But then low and behold: I turned fourteen and everything made sense.
Hormones go crazy, I was an emotional wreck. I cried every night, just like Usagi, for no good reason. I was irritable, and actually a crybaby (and still am 😱). I started developing closer bonds to girls my age, and the “not like other girls” trend died down. Also, it turns out that I did NOT have my entire life figured out, and in fact, had this horrific fear of growing up. I was still watching Sailor Moon, but now when I watched it, I could look at her and go “dude she’s literally me.”
Of course, everyone experiences their teenage years differently. Everyone has different personalities and paths in life. But I think many people could relate to her human fears and the bonds she has with other people.
And I mean, ESPECIALLY THE BONDS.
Tumblr media
Growing up, you find your “group.” Like “your people,” that will kinda just be with you for the rest of your life. When I was eleven, I obviously couldn’t comprehend that, and making friends was hard. But as I grew older, I came to understand the whole “girls support girls” kinda thing and became more open to more people in my life.
Usagi also experiences different kinds of relationships and dynamics with each of her friends, which is very accurate to real life friendships. Even in a friend group, you will have a different kind of dynamic with each different person, and that’s BEAUTIFUL!
Usagi also experiences romance and crushes; which is not just hinted at Mamoru.
Usagi and her group have a small crush on Haruka, aka Sailor Uranus. Later on in the last season, there is a hunted dynamic between Usagi and Seiya, a non gender conforming character in the anime (though identifies as a woman in the manga).
Tumblr media
LIKE READ THIS ⬆️
And this was amazing for me, a now teen girl getting to know herself and her sexual orientation. It felt great to know that this super feminine girl, who was literally me, didn’t just like men. It sounds so weird to say out that loud, but it’s how I truly feel. It made me feel safe, and seen. I could be girlypop AND like any gender I pleased.
In addition, as I mentioned before, the fear of growing up is there. Especially the fact that she has no choice BUT TO grow up, as she’s literally holding the universe together.
This relates to real life because your teenage years also play a big part in adulthood. Growing up, you kinda hear the whole “don’t screw up” thing left and right. But what happens when you do mess up? What happens when you don’t want to go to college, have trouble getting a license, and don’t know what to do with your life? There’s a lot on a teenager’s plate, just as there’s a lot on Usagi’s too.
Tumblr media
And finally, we get to the controversial topic. The last episode.
Homegirl saves the world. Naked.
You may be like “what does this have to do with girlhood and growing up?” Well simple. She rebuilds the world. It’s ok to start over. It’s ok to make a new life for yourself and the people you love.
And as for the naked part, it represents purity. And I don’t mean the socially constructed kind, it means the pure intentions in your heart. (No this isn’t a stretch, this was the anime’s INTENTION).
Then it makes sense. It’s ok to be a teenage mess. It’s ok to not have anything figured out. Friendships, romance, sexuality, those things will be figured out as time passes by. As long as you are a good and kind person, the world won’t be so bad.

Seiya Vs. Mamoru: Whose Better For Sailor Moon?
⚠️SPOILER WARNING, ESPECIALLY FOR THE SAILOR STARS ARC⚠️
What do you guys think?
Personally, it goes both ways for me. In the manga, Mamo is literally Usagi’s soulmate. They are perfect for each other and have a chemistry that I don’t think the anime can portray. But, I was 100% rooting for her and Seiya in the anime. Hear me out.
In the manga, Mamoru is definitely made for Usagi. Their relationship is shown to be very passionate and has a lot of depth; especially in regards to their past life.
Tumblr media
Plus, they grow together. The chemistry is definitely there and Mamoru is definitely not a bland dude. He’s a solid character with his own problems and personality. Sure, he’s pretty much Usagi’s Prince Charming, but he has moments where he’s snarky and playful, which add a whole lot flavor to a character who would be generic in any other series.
Tumblr media
Not to mention they balance each-other out. And I mean A LOT. Like you know that trope where one person is super dramatic and a crybaby and the other is level-headed and such? It’s literally that, and I’m living for it. Mamoru is there for Usagi when she needs him, and not to mention she’s there when HE needs her the most too.
And I know a lot of people kinda bash on the fact that they “only love each-other because of their past lives together,” but this is not true in the slightest. In the manga, they definitely fell in love with each-other all over again. Even twelve-year old me was able to feel their love for each-other BEFORE they even thought about their past life together.
Believe in it or not, but they are definitely soulmates. In every lifetime, they were bound to find each-other and fall in love all over. Sure, call me a dramatic teenager n all, but I think it’s sweet.
On the other hand, Seiya takes the cake in the anime. But of course, that comes with a whole lot of my unpopular opinions.
Tumblr media
To start off, I have to point out a main difference between the manga and the anime. In the manga, Seiya is simply a side character to add more fuel to the last arc of the story. Not much is explored in regards to their one-sided romance towards Usagi. But in the anime, there’s a literal season that spends nearly ALL of the episodes building up on the relationship between Usagi and Seiya. Not to mention, Mamoru was out of the picture during the Stars Arc, which left for A LOT of leeway when dealing with some romantic tension between the two…(Weither Usagi cheated or not is up to you, as that’s already the debate of the century)
So that DEFINITELY makes a difference in regards to this topic.
Seiya starts off as a cool and playful kind of character. Think of Mamoru, but without the roses, and a lot more immaturity. But Seiya’s immaturity is what adds to their charm, which I personally think added to the chemistry between Usagi and them.
Tumblr media
Like are we NOT gonna talk about their amusement park hangout?
As the season progresses, their chemistry and interactions grew in size- something that DEFINITELY did not happen in the manga. And that’s not a bad thing whatsoever, as I love Seiya as a character, and it was amazing to get to know them more.
The relationship between the two is far from surface level, as things don’t always stay fluffy forever.
I think this is where the fandom has their opinions though. Like Seiya KNEW Usagi had a boyfriend. Doesn’t that make them a jerk? And sure..I had some strong opinions towards this scene…
Tumblr media
…but let’s face it. The two were just heartbroken sixteen-year olds.
Seiya didn’t know the extent of Usagi and Mamoru’s relationship. Seiya didn’t know that the two were literal intergalactic soulmates. AND HEAR ME OUT.
I read on a forum a few months back with a statement such as “Seiya thought that Mamoru was just a jerk guy who left to America and purposefully ditched Usagi.” People can have their feelings on that, but I think it’s true. Think about it. If you met someone who told you their boyfriend left to America and never talked to them again, what would you think?
I’m not saying Seiya wasn’t wrong to hit on Usagi consistently. Even with the previous statement in mind, like at least give the person the ability to figure out their own problems first. But if we separate that topic from the stand alone interactions they have (which I think the interactions and hitting on was added for drama fuel, as I don’t remember them doing that AT ALL in the manga), then their chemistry alone makes Seiya an amazing match for her. And if not, then they definitely should’ve stayed besties. Like leaving Usagi forever to go back to their home planet? HEARTBREAKING.
And I think that’s where the whole soulmate thing I was talking about before gets sad. Because Usagi’s soulmate is Mamoru, and if that wasn’t the case (in the anime), her and Seiya could’ve had a chance.
But what are YOUR thoughts?
