Why on my forearm you ask? Why at all you may wonder!

I usually sleep on my stomach, my left forearm under my head like a pillow. So every bedtime and morning, your scent lingers strangely.

Remember our plans for a trip this year? I took you along.

It's strange how I have come to terms with the fact that I don't need you to love you. I can love you how much ever I want to!

Whenever I used to come pick you up and wait for you downstairs at your curb in the car, I always used to get butterflies. I used to be on my phone watching stuff but every 10-15 seconds my eyes travelled to your door.

Don’t get me wrong. Not because of boredom, not because I had any complains, not because I used to mind waiting for you but because it had been a while since I last saw you.

While I would mindlessly scroll reels on my phone, I used to think about what would you be wearing? Would it be a cute dress, a kurti (that’d just blow my mind off) or just basic street wear. How would your hair be? Would it be open (which I loved), in a pony or a cute bun? What colour would your nails be? Are they short pressed this time or did you get an almond false? What shoes did you pick? Would it be your flashy Jordans or a pair of shimmering Juttis. Which earrings would you have gone for? Would it be the Jhumkas that you recently got or just some boring looking studs. Would you have any bangles on? Would you have thought of putting on a bindi? What shade would your lip colour be if you’re rocking one. Not saying I don’t know what you smell like but I always used to be curious what would you smell like when you get in this car. Which perfume did you pick?

I finally see you, behind the glass door. I have a just got a slight glance because of all the reflections on the glass but my god was I dreaming? You looked like a dream every time you walked through that door. No matter what you wore, how you did your hair, what shoes you picked. Nothing mattered. I could genuinely feel my heart race as soon as I saw you.

I miss that. I miss all of it.
