If AI can do it for you, why would you pay a human?
$17/hr minimum wage = businesses turning to AI & robotics. Then only a handful of people will maintain the machines. #automation #AI

Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, addresses the possibility of AI taking jobs.
So here's the thing AI and Robotics will take most jobs that are currently available.
His answer is that "we'll just create new, better ones" isn't a good answer.
The crazy thing is that Congress or other world governments aren't even debating this issue, nor do they seem to want any type of oversight.
Hell, they don't even understand how TikTok works, so why would they understand what AI or Robotics would do to the economy and its citizens?
How do you expect them to be capable of dealing with this problem, when it rears its ugly head?

On The Edge
Tumblr media
As we face the possibility of a war with China and Russia, we need to prepare ourselves by upgrading our infrastructure. This includes our transport systems, such as roads, bridges, and railways, which are essential for moving people and goods across the country. It also includes our communication systems, such as fiber internet, which are vital for sharing information and staying connected. We should ensure that every US address has access to high-speed internet at an affordable price, just like we did with telephones. Another important aspect of our infrastructure is our power systems. We need to ensure that we have reliable and clean sources of energy that can meet our growing demand. We should invest in solar panels and batteries that can be installed in homes and businesses, reducing our dependence on fossil fuels and increasing our resilience to power outages. We should also build more nuclear power plants which will provide large amounts of electricity without emitting greenhouse gases. Finally, we need to enhance our food security by encouraging people to grow their own food on their land. This can be done by providing grants for people who want to convert parts of their property into food production areas. They can raise animals such as chickens and cows, or grow vegetables and fruits. This way, they can have fresh and healthy food at their disposal, while also contributing to the local economy and environment.

What TwitterGate taught us.
1) The Federal Government when controlled by one party targets the other. Whether through "legal" means or
2) Elected Democrats and Republicans pushed for the de-platforming of people and ideas that they didn't agree with.
3) Twitter meddled in US elections, and if I had to bet, other foreign elections as well. This is why fascists are pushing for censorship and the blocking of "misinformation".
4) The Constitution is only as good as the paper it's written on when even our elected officials do not believe in it. People who have power are able to do what they want because no one can stop them.
5) We now know that Twitter has/had an agreement with the federal government, so this must also mean Facebook, Google, and the rest of the social media companies have similar deals with world governments.
6) So this begs the question: What have the world governments suppressed, and why?

While Republicans refuse to make "dark money" sources public, we have Democrats refusing to vote to prevent congress members from holding stock in companies.
You see both parties are corrupt.
The question is what can you do about it?
At this point, I think the only way to fix it, is to allow the corrupt system to fail and hopes that we have learned our lessons, implement change that matters, and prevent this type of corruption from taking hold.

What I Want.
I only ask that you listen to my words with an open mind.
I want my government and economy to work for its citizens, not against them.
I want to rebuild our institutions to work for a modern society.
I want institutions to work and abide by the Constitution and Bill of Rights.
I want to prevent our intelligence agencies and DOJ from being used by whatever party is in power against their opposition.
I want to reign in the Presidency's powers which have become too powerful in recent years.
I want to end the 2 Party System in Congress that leaves it in an endless gridlock every few years.
I want to bring change that matters. I want a better tomorrow for every American citizen.

The Truth About Student Loan Forgiveness.
Here are the Facts
To be eligible, your annual income must have fallen below $125,000 (for individuals) or $250,000 (for married couples or heads of households)
If you received a Pell Grant in college and meet the income threshold, you will be eligible for up to $20,000 in debt cancellation.
If you received a Pell Grant in college and meet the income threshold, you will be eligible for up to $20,000 in debt cancellation.
What it doesn't tell you, is how it's being "forgiven". Debt simply doesn't just go away, someone always pays for it. Even if it is "deficit" spending, that simply means your kids, and grandchildren will pay for it later down the line.
While it may be a good bandaid, for now, we'll be in the same position in 10-20 years. President Biden lost out on a huge opportunity to fix the Student Loan System.
Here's what I would have done to fix it.
Cap interest rates at 0.
Loans that have already been paid back, interest included, will get a tax rebate of up to $20,000, that number would depend on how much each person paid back in interest.
For loans that were still being paid, the interest paid would be applied to the principal amount lowering the pay-off amount.
Loans would only be given out to students who went into tech, science, computer science, medicine, and the medical or teaching fields.
Make not going to college okay again, not everyone should or will go to college, I would implement a program pushing students to go into trade schools. They're cheaper and have a higher job placement rate.
Then audit all colleges, that take federal student loan money, to see where that money goes, and how it is spent. If funds were mishandled, then the government would take the appropriate actions, fine them, or black list them from federal loan programs.
The current version of the Student Loan Program is a scam. To scam you into indentured servitude to the government for the rest of your life. You shouldn't have to work 2-3 jobs to pay off something that is meant to better your life. Especially when most were pushed into going to college, by our parents, and by our schools, or threatened with the Social Stigma of not going to college.

Feeding Our Future.
If we're going to talk about Feeding Our Future, maybe we should talk about all of the nasty chemicals and processing practices that are being used in our food. Not to mention the microplastics that are in our foods and drinks.
You have to wonder why our government officials are allowing their voters to be poisoned. It's almost as if they're being paid off by these food conglomerates, to not do anything about it or maybe that's what governments want a dumb, fat, and diseased population to control.
