John Walker hates being weak. He tries to be strong all the time but sometimes he just wants to lie down, whine about ache after mission, and someone to stroke his hair. But he can't ask anyone, it would be so embarrassing for him.

Bob doesn't really know how to treat people he cares about. So he doesn't ask John, he just stays with him and strokes his hair like he's seen in a movie long ago.

No, cause in Thunderbolts, they go through a series of ‘shame’ rooms. I think one of John’s would have been the first time he had sex with a man. He probably grew up in a religious household, so he must of heard gay is bad all of the time. He probably had his first time with Lemar, and while he tried to enjoy it, he just couldn’t. It took him a few more times before he could actually enjoy it. He was ashamed of his first time. Because while the other times were better, he still had that mindset of it being wrong.

Walker is the biggest yapper but he's been taught to shut his mouth up so he controls himself. Mostly.

Sometimes, when he feels safe (and that's a really rare feeling for him, he is a veteran) and in a good mood he starts to talk fast and messy like he can't even stop a flow of words from his mouth. And Thunderbolts, having an ordinary dinner on Tuesday, are so confused about that so they stares at John before he gets it, snaps some rude shit and acts quite the rest of the dinner.
