To the choirmaster. Of the Sons of Korah. According to Alamoth. A Song. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Selah Psalms 46:1-3

(via Trusting the Path and Keeping it Simple) I’ve been slacking on the blog this week, caught up in a whirlwind of work and activities. But amidst the chaos, I’ve kept my focus on the path the Lord has laid out for me. It's like constantly checking the compass to ensure I’m still headed true North.

“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” (Romans 10:9-10)

(via Blessed Day with a Friend and Scripture)
Just wanted to share about my awesome day yesterday hanging out with a friend. We spent some quality time together, chatting about life and diving into Scripture. I've not had that kind of fellowship, and let me tell you, it was refreshing!
"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up." - Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

(via Saturday Blessings with A Day of Faith and Fellowship)
What an amazing Saturday! My wife and I had an absolute blast spending time with our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. Our journey to see the show “Daniel” at Sight & Sound was nothing short of fantastic.
"Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching." - Hebrews 10:24-25

Happy Friday!  “Then He said to them all, ‘If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it.'” (Luke 9:23-24)

Finding Inspiration in Unexpected Moments
Today, I’m just not feeling the blogging vibe. Some days, inspiration flows effortlessly, but today isn’t one of those days. However, a spark of inspiration did find its way to me through the Verse of the Day shared on my church’s Facebook page: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your…

The Peace Before Sleep
Finding peace in the quiet moments before sleep. While mornings are often my time for quiet communion with the Lord, there’s a unique peace that settles in when I turn to prayer before closing my eyes for the night. It’s a time to reflect on the day’s blessings, the friendships cherished, and the moments shared with loved ones. I’m grateful for the opportunities to lend a hand with computer…

Deliveries, Bible Studies, and Eclipse Antics
Hey there! Today kicked off bright and early with a bit of a whirlwind adventure alongside my pastor and good buddy, Dave. We spent the morning on a mission to pick up and deliver some cabinets, which turned out to be quite the journey. Meeting Dave’s son was definitely a highlight – talk about like father, like son! Later on, my wife and I dove into a deep study session on Mark 7. She’s part of…

I really appreciated your reflections on the book of Acts. It's interesting how Stephen's experience resonates with our own struggles to speak the truth.
Thanks for sharing.
Tumblr media
Today I am finishing my study of Acts 7.
I read summaries of Acts 7 and I listened to commentaries. One point that I found pretty interesting is that when you speak the truth you will bring out anger and outrage in those that hate it. This certainly happened to Stephen in Acts 7. Furthermore, just because they have anger and outrage doesn’t mean that you did something wrong. I have definitely done that a few times. I have desperately regretted saying anything because of the ramifications that resulted from it. If I just had not spoken the truth and remained silent then nothing would’ve gone crazy. I think Stephen is modeling for us that it’s important that we speak the truth regarding the reality of God regardless of the consequences. In this we must obey.
