Empty Lines Gif Tutorial
For Anon.
I‘m going to be doing a gif tutorial on how to make a gif with empty space, or white lines, in it. I’ll be making this one as an example:
The goal is to make it look like your chosen person or object is hovering outside the white barrier lines, creating a floating effect.
For this tutorial, you’ll need Photoshop and a decent set of skills and knowledge of how PS works.

Ok so I just downloaded Topaz Clean and I followed the instructions but when I open up Photoshop, Topaz doesn't appear. I tried Uninstalling and Re-installing, but nothing happened.
take care to keep photoshop shut when installing topaz... if it still doesnt work then uninstall photoshop then re-install it, and then install topaz while keeping photoshop shut.

How to make flashing text on gifs/graphics.
Requested by rikkisixx
-PSD used
It is really quite simple, however, because I am coming up with no ideas what gif to make I am using something random, and properly not ideal. It seems this technique is commonly used on reaction gifs and music video gifs.

How to make “Minimalist” Posters (well, the way I do it anyways):
Requested by: Anonymous
Create a new canvas that’s 245px b 300px (File » New) and fill it in with black using the Paint Bucket tool:
Once you have a black canvas, go to File » Place to place in the image you’re gonna be using. Or copy and paste it in as a new layer. Preferably you should use an image that has a solid color background like white. I used this picture of an apple and scaled it down while pressing shift using the Move Tool (first tool down. Make sure after you select it that the “Show Transform Controls” box is checked):
Once you’ve resized/positioned the image/apple how you like, remove the background/refine edge/create a layer mask from the selection using the Quick Selection Tool (CS5 or later) or the Magic Wand tool.
My image now looks like this:
Now add a black and white adjustment layer on top of your image (apple) layer (Layer » New Adjustment Layer » Black and White)
This is what my Layers Window now looks like:
On top of your black and white adjustment layer, go to Layer » New Fill Layer » Solid Color and make it whatever color you want the background to be. In my case a shade of red.
Then in your Layers Window, set this layer’s Blend Mode to “Screen”:
This is what my image now looks like:
Now add your text using the Type Tool (looks like a big ‘T’ in the Tools panel). I made mine a white Copperplate font at 24pt and typed out “SNOW WHITE” towards the bottom.
Then, to enhance the image a little more I selected the apple layer (which should have a layer mask hiding its background) and I gave it an outer glow (Layer » Layer Style » Outer Glow)
I used these settings (but yours may vary):
Then I just flattened the image (Layer » Flatten Image), sharpened it (Filter » Sharpen) and went to File » Save to save as a JPEG. That’s it! Again, this is my final result:
And it’s the same concept for the rest of the posters. Just different colors and text. Hope this helped! If you still have questions, let me know!
