Summary: Mini ramble about two scenarios about Spencer with the song "Do I Wanna Know" by Arctic Monkeys and the cover of Hozier.

When I started to imagine the Arctics Monkeys one I was thinking of Spencer getting frustrated and angry after you both broke up after a big fight a few weeks ago.

He went to your apartment at 3 AM, The encounter would be more angry but you both would ended sleeping together and probably after everything the next day you both would act like nothing happen and not get back together.

But with the Hozier one I imagine Spencer and you running up on a coffee shop or in a bar that he went with the team.

In both cases it would be after almost two months of having broken up, the reason would be a fight or bc of his job. The encounter would be more sad and not angry, his eyes would probably be filled with longing and love for you.

You both would probably ended up getting back together in this scenario.

Just saw the stupidest argument on tiktok and felt the need to rant about it.

Why does it matter so much if i ship Jayvik and ship Mel with another woman??? You claim that i’m being misogynistic, but have you considered that i just don’t like straight ships and am a lesbian??

Sure, i don’t like Mel nearly as much as i like Viktor, and she’s about the same level as Jayce for me, but i don’t give a genuine fuck who you ship her with, because at the end of the day these are fictional characters and everyone’s allowed to have opinions about them.

“female characters always get sidetracked and shipped with characters they never met just so they don’t get in the way of the gay ship” Do you understand, genuinely, how shipping works? If i ship a couple, ANY couple, i don’t want ANYONE to get in the middle of that, fucking duh. Especially when it comes to otps. If you’re that pissed off about it, you’re in luck! Because most of the time, these mlm ships that are super popular aren’t even canon. Have fun!

And by trying to have this weird moral high ground, you’re completely disregarding the fact that rare pairs (or even popular wlw ships) are very much real and not just shipped out of convenience or spite, but because people like the possible dynamic, and exploring new things with hot characters.

Same thing for Bkdk and Togachako, personally i don’t even ship Bkdk (Kiribaku ftw) but if you actually think people only ship Togachako so Uraraka doesn’t get in the way of Bkdk, i’m sorry but you’re an idiot. People HAVE been shipping her and Toga. There’s tons of content for them. It’s one of the most loved ships and it absolutely stands on its own. Don’t piss me off.

It’s fine to want nuance in fandom discussions, but sometimes you read too much into things, sometimes fandoms just do things because they can, because it’s a fandom space, and it shouldn’t be limited.

It is so easy to curate your own fandom experience, the block button is right there!! Use it instead of starting arguments for no reason.

SYNOPSIS: you and shoto get into an argument but he writes notes to you to make it better

A/N: i meant to make this more on the notes part but accidentally made it focused on the fight :/

you came home form your “date” visibly upset. shoto knew why. he didn’t understand why it made you upset, but he knew you were upset. the ride home and the walk inside was him trying to justify his actions.

“but i wanted to do something with you alone. why did you invite someone when this could have been a date for just you and me?” you say, walking inside your shared apartment.

shoto had invited some friends to the fair that you were planning on being a date. sure, he was being friendly, but this was just weird.

and, maybe any other time it would be cute or funny—but not this time. you two hadn’t been on a proper date in months. he’s always so busy, it’s hard to set one up.

and lately, it feels like he’s been more busy. it feels like you never see him anymore.

“i didn’t know it was supposed to be a just me and you date.” he replies, dropping his keys on the counter.

you sigh. “when we planned it, i said ‘us’ not ‘us and your friends’”

“i know, i’m sorry. i didn’t know it had to be a date.”

you roll your eyes, turning from upset to angry. “that’s the thing, shoto. it shouldn’t ‘have’ to be a date. you should want it to be a date like i do!”

“i do, y/n.”

you drop your purse on the counter and run your hands through your hair. “well, i hope you had fun today. maybe on our next date we can invite sero as well.” you start walking to the bedroom.

“y/n.” you stop and turn around. “can we please talk it out?”

“i don’t know what to say.”

“i want you to know i’m sorry. i really am. i never want to be the reason you’re upset.”

there’s a beat of silence as you stand and think. “i miss you.”

“what?”

“i miss you, shoto.”

“i’m right here, y/n.”

“you never are, though. you’re always so busy—and i’m glad that you’re protecting others and providing for me—but i never see you. we live together and i feel like i never see you, shoto.”

“i know and i’m sorry but—”

you cut him off. “and when i do see you, it feels like you have no interest in me. like today—the one time we can finally do something together, you invite friends. do you want to be with me?”

“yes, of course i do. i know i’ve been busy and not putting as much effort into the relationship as you, and i’m working on that. i’ll keep working on that.”

you were tired. you didn’t know what to say anymore. you were just upset and needed a moment. “okay.” you say walking away into your shared bedroom.

by the time you fell asleep, shoto hadn’t come to bed yet. you wondered if he was sleeping on the couch or the guest bedroom. that put some things in perspective for you. even though you were mad at him, you still wanted him in bed with you.

however, when you woke up for work in the morning, there he was in your shared bed. you see him and smile, slightly relieved he was there.

he must have gone to bed late because he was still sleeping peacefully when you left the room.

as you’re walking into work, you feel something in one of the pockets in your jacket. you dig it out to see an index card.

it’s a note. from shoto.

“i am so lucky to have you in my life. you are the best thing that’s happened to me. i’m sorry and i love you.”

you smile as your eyes welled up with tears. it has only been about 11 hours without talking to him and you missed him so much. this note just made it so much worse.

you just wanted to go home right now and just be with him.

however, you couldn’t. instead, you walked into work making a mental note to text shoto.

once inside, you open your laptop to answer some emails. but, there it was. another index card that was hidden inside your laptop.

“meet me at musashi sky restaurant at 6:00. love you”

you smiled and pressed the note to your chest. happy that he picked your favorite resaurant.

at this point, you were no longer mad at him. just a little annoyed.

you knew he didn’t mean any harm.

and it’s so hard to be mad at him when he does all these cute things.

all through work, you were just thinking about your dinner tonight. what you were going to wear. what you were going to eat. everything.

so, when it was time to leave work, you all but ran out. you drive home and go through your closet to the dress you planned to wear.

once you were ready, you headed out to the restaurant, happy to see shoto standing outside with red flowers waiting for you.

“hi, i’m sorry.” he says as you walk up to him.

you blush just at the sight of him. “hi, shoto.”

he hands you the flowers and you pull him into a hug. “i missed you. i’m sorry too.” you say, muffled into his dress shirt.”

shoto pulled away from the hug. “i love you.”

“i love you too.”

“i promise i didn’t invite anyone. it’s a reservation for two.”

you smiled at his density. “i believe you.”

he smiles and nods, taking your arm and leading you into the restaurant.
