Always remember this is the one and only time I will ever speak about this Netflix live action adaptation of Avatar the Last Airbender.

The sexism elements are a very important part of the show. Sokka being a sexist at the beginning is important because it’s a part of his character development. He has this delusional view point of masculinity all while being ignorant about women and what they are capable of doing. He gets humbled hard by the Kyoshi warriors, especially by Suki, who mostly did all of the humbling, and that is where their relationship starts.

The sexist interactions between the water tribe water benders and Katara is in the show not just to have Katara gain a win over a man, but to prove her biggest point, which is simple: she is just as capable as the male water benders in the tribe, and she doesn’t care if she loses or wins, she is there to prove her case.

So removing the sexism in the live action show shoots Sokka’s character development in the foot, and it takes away the biggest character highlight for Katara. It would be just like them removing the genocide elements from the show because it would be too scary or too dark for kids, which would declaw the Fire Nation, especially Azula, who is the best female villain in the series.

Whenever it's brought up that there aren't animals in the Pokémon world and everyone is all like "s-s-s-so they eat the p-p-p-pokemon??? 🥺🥺🥺" like YES this has been common knowledge since GEN 1 get a GRIP or go VEGAN or something

knowing the spoiler led me do knowing more spoilers which i don't mind... and i'm half conviced afo is deku's father and that's not even what the spoilers are about... literally a fanfic led me to believing this concept and then the writer was like "yeah, i don't really believe this theory," all while managing to convince me... ugh, i just REALLY don't want it to be true, but afo is insaneeee like he totally would steal his own kid's quirk if given the opportunity... but also he believes in sibling supremacy and izu is an only child! so there is still hope, but also even if afo isn't his bio donor, it's still possible he took his quirk somehow... but i really like the idea of deku being quirkless naturally, sometimes were born different and that's okay

Been thinking of that myth where Hades told Orpheus that he could take Eurydice back with him, but under one condition: she would have to follow behind him while walking out from the caves of the underworld, and he could not turn to look at her as they walked.

And then I was thinking of those dumb ass tumblr posts that are like “y’all only say y’all wouldn’t turn back cause u know the story” and it’s like no, u pseudo deep intellectual. I wouldn’t turn back because Hades literallyyyyy says “aight bet, just don’t look”

Hades literally only gave this man ONE single instruction. Leave without looking back. And Orpheus couldn’t even do that. Like yea, this could be a demonstration of just how much he loved her. But I think this is the opposite. I think that this is a demonstration of a lack of trust in their love. If he would’ve loved her more, than he would trust Hades’ word, but above all, he would put his complete trust and faith in their love to just know she would be there following behind him to not turn back.

I’ve also been thinking about the implications of instant gratification vs delayed gratification in this myth, but that’s a whole different point requiring its own post.

the disability pride flag! It’s not disability pride month, but I felt a little disability pride is in order for all the disabled folks who feel like they aren’t enough. YOU ARE DOING AMAZING!! Despite all capitalist, ableist, racist, queerphobic, fatphobic obstacles in your way, you are still alive and doing what YOU need to do in order to live. That’s pretty badass. People, and oppressive systems don’t expect you to be proud, or happy, because when you’re disabled, it’s supposed to be tragic and sad. Well you are not tragic, or sad, or anything else these people who know nothing about you say you are. Being proud and disabled is an act of rebellion against these oppressive systems that we are forced to live under. I’m very proud of you, keep doing what you’re doing love 💗

For all the my mom jokes we make about Katara it’s really easy to forget she def saw her mom’s burnt corpse and has trauma. Like she sees her mom alive, goes to get her had which prob takes five minutes and comes back to a burned body. She can prob still picture it, smell it, everything like no wonder she always brings it up. The guilt and trauma is just festering away. poor girl. Also she doesn’t even say that much in the show it’s blown way out of proportion

Sometimes it’s really hard to tell if I’m actually a lesbian. Because i don’t really feel anything romantically for anyone, but I feel this yearning for romance or just intimate relationships. But not intimate as in sex but just as humans, and people where we exist together in our rawest, and realest forms. Where I show you the deepest parts of me and you show me yours, but in my mind I never considered it romance. And so when people describe physical attraction and aesthetic attraction I never fully relate because yes objectively this person is gorgeous I’m their own unique way but that does not incite a reaction from me. I think I’ve always labeled myself as a lesbian because I was afraid to admit that romance was never what I truly craved when I spoke about relationships but rather the bond we form and share, the bond we nurture and tend to together in life. Like I don’t want to be your girlfriend or the girl you’re talking to, I want to be such a deep integral part of your life that words cannot begin to describe the emotions we have attached to one another, but at the same time I don’t want the stereotypical things from a romantic relationship. Genuinely what I think I crave is just really strong friendship but we get married and live together domestically, that or I’m aromantic who knows.

Hello, sorry that this is going to sound so preachy and stupid, but I just want to send out a message. Also nothing happened to me, I just want to state something.

I know this blog focuses on all things Hellcheer and so far it’s been a good experience here on tumblr amongst friends and fellow peers. While I do very much love Chrissy x Eddie, I just want to say that even if you don’t ship them, that’s okay. If you want Eddie to be with someone else, that’s okay. If you want Chrissy to be with someone else, that’s okay. If you would rather have them as friends only, that’s okay. If you rather have Chrissy x reader or Eddie x reader, that’s okay. If neither of them are supposed to be together, that’s okay.

It’s a beautiful thing that so many fans can express themselves and their love for their favorite characters and/or ships in this fandom. Regardless of the manner and medium, I truly do find the creativity absolutely fantastic. The love is there and you all do a marvelous job of showing it, however you chose to.

Disagreements will come up, I can’t and won’t pretend that they don’t exist. Just know that I’m happy to see your work and listen to your ideas.

I just wish we could all be a little nicer to each other and to ourselves. Nothing good comes from spreading rumors, fighting (amongst others and within our own groups), or harboring animosity.

Regardless if you’ve been in the fandom since the very beginning, a couple seasons later, or even in the past few months/days, please know that you are welcomed here.

It’s okay if you disagree with some or everything that I’ve written here. I don’t know what anyone else has gone through and I won’t pretend to know. If I could hug you through the screen, I would.

I know it’s easier said than done, but I really do think that we are all capable of growth.

Toriel's genocide death lines just hit different. I don't think I see many people actually talking about what she says and how it shows off her true character.

I just really like this. Like other lines from other characters all hit the player in different ways, the way Toriel's hits is a bit different from the others.

This character, this sweet woman who is a mother figure towards the player/Frisk, who taught us how to be kind and merciful, hell she most likely saw you kill that one froggit along with the dummy and didn't raise much concern, just believing that you could be slightly confused or unsure. She just drops THAT line on you.

She could've said something similar to what she says when you kill her in the neutral route, possibly could've not held it against you, blamed herself, maybe comforted you, but no. She says that.

In fact, it almost feels like any and all emotion she had towards you just disappeared the moment you made the final strike, though that could be just me. The way she just bluntly, while also indirectly, states that you're the monster she was keeping locked away from the rest of monster kind. The way she gives an almost deranged looking smile at you. It really feels like she dropped all affection she had for you. So easily, and with that smile too.. Sheesh, shivers man. Now I see where Flowey got his deranged faces from.

Now, I got nothing more to add, but I'd love to see anything people wanna add to this. If no one does, eh, it was just note worthy to me along with being my take on a bit of dialogue.

image descriptions are one of the best things on this hellish website because, although i am not medically visually impaired, sometimes i don't really know what or who i'm looking at, or it's a place/character i've never heard of before. or my brain just isn't processing what i'm seeing correctly. so seeing the image IDs that are like "this is [character] from [thing]" are amazing because now i'm like "OHHHH that's who that is. their design is interesting, maybe i should look more into the thing they're from" and that's how three of my hyperfixations have been born so.

It’s funny how people, specifically the ones who are 20-29 look at characters like Leon or Dante, two men who are in their mid to late 40’s and most people are like, “They’re old men who don’t know how to use technology and say, kids these days while shaking their heads!”

Me, who is 25, and knows that they’re both in their 40’s: They’re not elderly men. They’re middle aged. Also Leon practically knows how to use smartphones at the age of (I’m assuming) 48ish and Dante is a drama king who calls himself “old” when he dies in DMC5.

I think being in the early days of De-aging tech was a advantage for the Tron Legacy, more Clu specifically. I thought young Flynn was actually really decent looking, probably because the lighting and angles in the early scenes. However, Clu from the jump feels…wrong. At first glance he looks really good. Then he starts to talk. He starts to move. Something in your stomach drops- you can’t really register what’s off about him but something is. He is a true being of the Uncanny valley. The fact this sells you to distrust him almost  immediately works in the stories advantage to. I don’t think he’d work as well as an antagonist if he wasn’t so uncanny if he wasn’t… off. You know?

Like right now-

I love this show will all my heart but the finale felt... Really rushed? I'm used to the show being fast compared to my other little gay shows but still. You just kind of blinked and it was over. While I understand why, the show in general moves really fast and they only had a certain amount of episodes, but it still was fast as fuck.

Now I'm know I'm not in the minority when I say this but Izzy's death put a really bad taste in my mouth. Like I know some people thought it was fine because he got his arc and so on. But I literally was sitting there, eating my bland cafeteria quesadilla with still cold in the middle mozzarella sticks, confused by Izzy's fast and abrupt death. It's not even like he died in some glorious way, protecting Ed or Stede or fuck even the crew. No. He just got shot with no dramatics. His end scene with Ed was heart breaking but then everything is just all fine and good the next scene.

I'm not saying that I hated the finale, absolutely not. I thought this season was honestly BETTER than season 1. It was sweet and hilarious, but god damn that ending was quick. You can disagree with me all you want! You're free to your feelings on the finale! I just personally feel like there could've and should've been more.

Oki so RANT : D the boy im talking to had a picnic with me :) unfortunately the SMELLY band kids interrupted it with their STUPID practice >:00 joking joking. Anywho he took us to this beautiful little river and we watched the sun go down while we talked for hours :,) we had our first kiss here and it was SOUSIWJA EPERFECURJSKDN!3$/$4$/!:).$2&/3!
