Nectar
I profusely adore you
and humbly implore you
to grant me permission
for that which
I cannot ask.
You are the
elixir of elixirs,
and my throat
an empty flask.
I am a
field of cotton
that swells
beneath your rains.
I dream that
my nectar alone
your heart contains.
My memory—
a monolith untouched
by passing days.
A seraphim of silence,
haunted by my
loving gaze.

Sole inhabitant of my once broken heart,
You are the reason my love became art.

If I thought my words could change how it all is now, I swear I could have written you an entire novel in three days.

The number of times I’ve had to console myself by saying if it’s meant to be, then it’s meant to be - whilst watching our paths diverge. Does the Universe want me to master the art of gracefully letting go? How many more trials? Because today I felt something worse than sadness, loneliness and disappointment - just a hollow knowingness of how empty and meaningless everything has become.

Jubilee
Stars are the jewels
Of the night.
Your pearly smile
The source of my light.
You are the root,
The stem and flower.
The glorious pink dawn
And golden sunset hour.
You keep this spirit
Forever young.
On your lips,
The sweetest song
Ever sung.
Never could find one
Truer than you.
Let me drown in
Your deepest blue.
Devoid of you,
A thousand splendid lives
Are but a waste.
Happiness a foreign flavor
With an empty taste.
Brightest constellation
In the celestial canvas
Of my dreams.
You are my jubilee -
The grandest toast
To life!

There’s no forgive and forget when it comes to disrespect, especially if they are someone close to you. Because when you do so, then it becomes a pattern. Words and actions are a product of one’s feelings and thoughts. They might behave differently on the outside after you confront them, but don’t ever believe they view you as any better. The one who truly values you, cherishes you, will never deliberately hurt you. Because that might mean losing you forever. We give people so many excuses, but fail to see acknowledge their actual behavior even when it hurts us so. Not everyone will choose to respect you, but please respect who you choose.

December
Once upon a December,
I met the boy
I'd always remember.
Nudging me awake
For early morning classes,
My heavy lids opened to
His black-rimmed glasses.
I judged him, but he passed every test.
Aquarius—he wasn’t like the rest.
He listened and I needed his care,
He became the kind of friend
I didn’t want to share.
Surprised me with
Four songs so sweet.
Asked to meet,
How could I refrain?
I was running out of
Reasons to hide
From the one I wanted
By my side.
His quiet footsteps,
Were like soft petals
That showered on
My soul’s damp bed,
Covering the twisted paths
Of my dark and thorny past.
Gratefully enchanted
In him I began to trust.
Sprinkled over
My gray existence
His silver magic dust.
He made me swell
He made me burst
He made me feel blessed
And in his absence,
I felt cursed.
Don’t know if it will last—
Days few left, or many more,
But I’ll never forget him,
Of that, I’m sure—
The darling boy
Who I adore.
For he is my lighthouse,
My anchor
And his mother,
I thank her.
