I've been Going Through It pretty hard lately. Times have been rough, and in these times I turn to escapism. And it got me thinking about the importance of it, and how it can save us. And how for me this has manifested in giant monsters beating the hell out of each other in movies, and giant monsters are very often used in allegorical n metaphorical ways for things.

So as a way to express my feelings n thoughts on escapism n vent how I been feeling I made this comic n put a lot of thought into it. While for me the Bad Times Beast here is depression specifically, I intend it as a general metaphor for Going Through It so I hope this resonates with other people saved by escapism too, and that whatever you're going through you are able to find the strength to get through. Even if you need some help from your special friends on the screen or in the pages.

Feels as good a time as any to post my designs for the big toho trio all together! Very happy with how they turned out and def plan on doin more fun arts with my takes on these chars along with doin my own designs for other kaiju like Kong, Ghidorah and maybe Mechagodzilla if I can bring myself to draw robot stuff for once gsdhj

After Rodan and Mothra there was no one better to do next then Godzilla for my kaiju designing!

I mostly took from Heisei and Monsterverse eras for inspo but did my best to try and make a design that best amalgamated and represented the char as a whole. He large, he in charge and he ready to BRAWL

After my Rodan design I decided next lil design project I'd do would be my own Mothra design!

Same with how I did Rodan, I designed this Mothra with the aim of incorporating aspects of all da versions of Mothra to make a nice encompassing design. With Mothra this was a bit of an interesting challenge trying to achieve a nice balance between classic friend shaped rotund Mothra and the Monsterverse's new badass sleek Mothra.

For a fun lil project I decided to have a go at making my own design of my fav boi, Rodan!

Tried my best to like, make a design that incorporated all da different versions to encompass the character as a whole even if Fire Rodan and Monsterverse Rodan were gonna be the main iterations I drew on. Tried to make his body just a lil more humanoid to harken to his earlier days of being a guy in a suit.

Had a lot of fun with the process and am very happy with how he turned out.

Decided to put my all into drawing what is by far one of my favourite moments from my dnd game: The Battle from the Ancient World

In our dnd game I forged a set of armour for my pet T. Rex. Which has to be the coolest thing in my entire friggin dnd career.

My latest dnd character, Keerso Korallon the aarakocra gunslinger who is a bounty hunter. Quite a far cry from my usual big dumb himbos, shimbos and thembos I tend to play in dnd lmao

Went to the liveshow, what an utterly incredible time so had to draw some of my fav bits.

I've had old monster movie poster aesthetics big on my brain lately so to get into the season for some spoopy fun I drew some dino art themed like those old posters.

Chose a baryonyx as the subject cause it fits right into classic swamp locations, got them big claws for slasher vibes and it's that good size where it big n scary but not SO big it becomes a kaiju type thing and the chases still feel more personal.
