it’s always awful to discover that radfems have gotten to one of your posts but there are certain ones that just add insult to injury. “oh i just loooooove butch anime girls <3″ like fuck OFF!! if a woman that looked like this in real life got within five feet of you you’d scream and call the cops!!!

I think that the most annoying thing about the term "male socialization" being applied to transfems is that for most of us, we weren't actually socialized male. if any of us have "male traits", it's because we developed those as a survival mechanism.
I certainly would have liked to be a lot more feminine growing up, but when you're born with a penis, you're expected to be a perfect, shining beacon of masculinity every moment of your life. if you deviate from this standard by expressing any behaviors that are deemed even a little feminine, you will be severely punished. if you cross your legs with one knee over the other, or you sit down to pee, or you check your nails by straightening your fingers instead of curling them, or you watch disney channel at the age of 10, or you just simply exist, you're a pussy, you're a faggot. maybe your sister will mock you for being too girly, or maybe the guy at school who would one day become a cop threatens to rape you and settles for giving you a black eye instead.
like, are you surprised that some of us try to live up to masculinity in the years before coming out? it's either that, or continue facing an endless onslaught of transmisogyny until you can't take it anymore and either transition or kill yourself.
I wasn't socialized as male, I was socialized as a tranny. it's fucking insulting to have my "male upbringing" weaponized against me to dismiss my womanhood because I never had one. and guess what! the vast majority of the masculine behaviors I picked up as a survival mechanism evaporated almost immediately after I came out as trans and realized I no longer needed to make use of them for my own safety.
stop falling for the myth of male socialization.

ive reccently had the displeasure of having to explain gender and sex to some ignorant folks.
cis people, and some trans people, seem to not understand what the concept of a binary system even means. they see many people fall into one of two identifiable sets and say, 'yup, thats a binary'. completely ignoring or disregarding any other option as 'outliers', anomalies and so on.
but thats not what a binary is.
binary means, 1 or 2 exists and literally nothing else is possible. if theres a million 1s and a million 2s, if theres a single 3 its not a binary anymore. binaries exist only in computers bc they work by checking whether something is on or off. theres no third option.
but if we're talking about humans, to group us into a binary is just so absurd to me. sure, most people can (yet) be visually identified as either men or women. but we know intersex people exist. theyre not that rare. we know nonbinary people exist. theyre also not that rare. we know trans people exist, how do we fit into the binary?
so whether its sex or gender we are talking about, binary cannot apply. there cannot be an outlier in a binary system, its literally, by definition, impossible.
a single intersex or nonbinary person disproves the binary. that might be you. in which case, thanks <3
-Edit- never once did i say that all intersex or nonbinary people must necessarily fall outside of the binary. stop purposefully interpreting malice into my words. my tags couldnt be clearer.

Gloryhammer AU where the wielder of the Hammer Of Glory is a trans woman. Her name is Alice McFife the first and she runs a tavern instead of doing hero stuff.
Set in the Galactic Terrorvortex after the events from the albums. Zargothrax just didn't notice or recognize her so she kinda flew under the radar. The entire ordeal could have been solved instantly if she had used the Hammer, but she can't actually use it bc she's not really the destined Prince of Fife ;)
I'm sure the band members would absolutely agree with every suggestion and not at all shit on my takes in their secret WhatsApp chat

My roommate in the hospital is this lady who has cancer. She's been here for 7 weeks and I felt bad for her immediately. Even though I just got bottom surgery, and I'm in a ton of pain and discomfort, I have been strictly monitoring my behaviour as to make her experience as easy as possible. I avoid using any of the gaming devices I brought that make clicking noises from buttons (instead staring at the ceiling for 8 hours a day), I disregard my own preference for a warm room to accommodate her need for a cold room. When the nurses come, I even help translate from german to english for them, because they are very obviously struggling with the language barrier. I do whatever I can to be the best possible roommate for this old sick lady bc I don't want her to be in even more pain than she already is. We make smalltalk too, on her terms of course. So very casually during talk yesterday I find out that she doesn't believe trans people are real.
Like how can you even get to the mindset that the woman who's kinda ugly, who's been helping you with everything for days despite being in immense pain, disregarding her own needs in the process, is somehow not deserving of the most basic human decency?
In any case I'm not here to educate her on trans issues, I'm here to heal from my surgery. Guess I'll just be distant to her instead. I've thought about disrespecting her identity straight to her face, to give her a taste of her own medicine, but I'm probably not going to do that. I'm not that kind of person.
I'm happy she'll be home tomorrow.

I love how I get ads for erectile dysfunction on here. Like literally all the data Tumblr has abt me, is that I'm in my 20s and currently at the urology clinic. That's it.
Like girl. It's called bottom surgery.
Your meds ain't gonna work. Idk what you're trying to achieve here
