. The first chapter of “The Little Book of Cannabis” is all about sleep. Falling asleep, as well as staying asleep. 😴 . The chapter starts off with a case study, moving onto the historical use of cannabis for sleep, followed by how cannabis can help, and finally how to use cannabis to help with sleep. 🌱 . I was very interested to learn that THC lengthens the time in which some is in slow-wave sleep. Slow wave sleep is where the body does majority of it’s healing, it restoration stage. I was also happy to see mentioned that CBD can have both stimulating effects as well as very sedative effects depending on the amount taken as many know it for it’s more sedative properties. 💚 . There was also talk of terpenes as Myrcene is becoming more known for helping with sleep. . This fluffy bud is called White Pink. It was actually difficult finding information on this mysterious strain. It’s a cross between White Widow and Pink Kush which created an indica hybrid. The THC content in this strain was listed at around 20%. . I personally found this strain to be very relaxing and sedative. It’s great when used during your down time or before going to bed for those having trouble with sleep. . The bud itself is nice and fluffy, as well as covered in yellow trichomes. . I have started reading this awesome book called My Little Book of Cannabis. This book is a must have for those new to cannabis and/or specifically seeking it out for medicinal reasons. . This book is packed with personal stories, history and tons of knowledge about cannabis in general. It’s a interesting read without feeling like your having information that you’ll never remember thrown at you. . . I took this weekend to really relax and unwind. I had @apollocannabisclinic’s Christmas on Friday, and spend the rest of the weekend doing chores and relaxing at home. . . This was the result of my first batch of infused or “magical” butter using my magical butter machine. I must say I’m pretty damn happy with the results.💥 . It was super simple to use the magical butter machine. I literally added my decarboxylated cannabis into the machine along with my melted butter. From there I hit the temperature and 2 hour button and let the machine do its work. After 2 hours the machine stopped, and the mixture was ready to be strained. Even straining was really easy. I used the “love glove” to help squeeze out any butter that may have been left in the pulp of the cannabis. From there I poured my butter into the silicone butter molds from Magic Butter. 🍽 . Unfortunately I am unsure what exactly the THC or CBD percentage is simple because I used a whole mix of CBD & THC strains. ♻️ . I perviously had hear the magical butter machine can be loud, but I actually found it to be much quieter then expected. I also heard that the machine is heavy and hard to move around your kitchen. Again I actually found the complete opposite. It was easy to move, position, and clean. . Aside from the fact the machine infused cannabis into butter and oils I love that it has rainbow lights that will indicate when your machine is working. . Not too long ago Medreleaf was offering a basic cream that could be combined with a cannabis oil to be used as a infused topical. You will need to add the oil yourself to create the topical. You can use any Medreleaf oil or even cannabis oils from another LP. 🌿 . Sadly these creams do not come pre-mixed because health Canada has not approved any cannabis infused lotions, creams or balms yet. . Add 8 ml of desired oil. Mix together until smooth. Recently I have found myself smoking a lot more joints then I usually do. Why? I personally believe it is to do with two factors. . 1. I have been attending more cannabis events where I am usually smoking a joint as I find it the most convenient way to consume in a situation where I’m walking around and talking to people. . 2. I also think it has a bit to do with legalization. Since cannabis has been “legalized” I have found myself “pre-rolling” before going out just to save time. Again this probably has to do with attending more cannabis events, as well as just feeling more comfortable smoking in public. . I typically prefer to consume my cannabis by smoking it through a bong. It has always been a go-to for me.
