As Steven Universe wrapped up, I decided to draw my own tribute piece to the show- with my Gems playing Steven Tag! I will be continuing the game on with other gems later on, but wanted to draw the Neutral Gems (who eventually joined up with the Crystal Gems) first. This would happen on Steven's new journey when he meets up with all of them. Notes: Yellow Beryl has bumpier hair. The Zircons keep their Pinocchio noses, and Blue doesn't smile despite having a little fun. Red Fire Quartz has her widow's peak Jade, being the youngest, is most excited. She keeps her hair colour 'aura.' Steven Universe and his show are by Rebecca Sugar. The other Gems are my characters.

Inktober Day 31: Ripe

Well, it is still Inktober Day 31 somewhere, like the Cook Islands! I couldn’t stop thinking of fruit when I hear the word ripe, so here’s a zany tutti frutti gown!

Inktober Day 30: Catch I can't believe Inktober is nearly Inktover! (Apologies for that bad pun.) Well, one can catch a fish, catch a throw, catch a bus, catch a bug, think they're a catch, after these logs in the stone circle have caught fire. Again, I have used the Abyssinian Cats characters. They're very dynamic and fun to draw.

Inktober Day 29: Injured A simple illustration of Mashrat feeling glum for she's missing out on the most thrilling part of the game.

Inktober Day 28: Ride It took a couple of tries to draw this- my first idea flew like a dead balloon. I was concerned that I couldn't get my hand to go straight so I decided to embrace the wibbly-wobbliness and have this lady riding in a ferry through a dreamscape, so things are definitely not like they should be...

Inktober Day 27: Coat Three kids dressing up in a coat decide they'll give the gate a coat of paint to help out, but their cover is definitely blown- probably because the chap on top forgot the hat.

Inktober Day 26: Dark

The darkness of the night, 

lets the witches take flight,

what sort of mayhem will they cause? 

Hopefully, to be frank, 

It's some silly prank, 

And doesn't involve monsters with claws.

Inktober Day 25: Tasty My simple, cluttered mind jumped to food when I heard this prompt- so I thought to draw all characters based on food, but there were too many. I ended up turning my Fairy of Fruit and Fairy of Vegetables into this old-style PSA poster. Characters are Anthia Broccoli (Fairy of Vegetables) and Cartella McFarlane (Fairy of Fruit) from my StregaFata Project with their updated looks.

Inktober Day 24: Dizzy Masresha, Hirut, Lalla and Enku decide to hit the studio for some extra practice, but I'm afraid the lesser-experienced Hirut and Masresha are feeling a bit wobbly and dizzy! I'm really not quite sure why I feel like drawing these girls so much lately- hopefully tomorrow we'll have a different subject.

Inktober Day 20: Tread Not my finest work, but here is another cat-loving girl taking her moggy for a walk. How? Why? Where? Also, car tyres have tread so I attempted to draw a Classic Beetle, and it has a bit of masking tape- BUGger!
