Mahiru was acting.. off. It was to be expected, especially after Shidou's unfortunate purging (Yuno didn't like the poor girl's methods, but she couldn't help but feel bad for what her life must've been like to think what shes done was perfectly reasonable). Without the required medical attention, Mahiru's condition slowly deteriorated.
It was a shame Shidou was the only doctor in MILGRAM. None of the other prisoners knew how to help Mahiru—especially since Amane was watching their every move towards her. All Yuno could do was sit and watch as the only person to ever make her feel 'warmth' accepted her soon-to-be fate. Yuno wasn't even the one dying yet she was the one who dreaded the final day.
Because she couldn't help in the medical sense, Yuno did all that she could to make it easier on Mahiru-san. She helped her move her wheelchair around (and somehow compromised with Amane to let her keep it), fed her, talked to her, anything really.
She spent the most time with Mahiru-san, which was probably why she noticed her acting more.. tired than usual. It also sounded like it hurt her to breathe. Yuno knew she shouldn't panic, however. She didn't want to make Mahiru feel worried about her when it was supposed to be the opposite.
Yuno gently opened the door to Mahiru's cell after knocking, spending most of her time there. Mahiru's room—once adorned with trinkets she requested from the warden—was starting to gather dust as neither of the girls had time to clean it with Yuno caring for Mahiru and Mahiru.. well.
She plastered on a smile for Mahiru because the ice in her heart seemed to melt when she was around her. She did a once-over and she wasn't a doctor but it was clear Mahiru may not have much time left..
"-chan? Yuno-chan? You've been.. staring for a while, do I really.. look that messy?" Mahiru said, interrupting her from her thoughts. She could hear how hard it was for Mahiru to talk. She wasn't religious unlike a certain prisoner but suddenly she found herself praying to every God out there that Mahiru would somehow miraculously heal.
"It's not that, Mahiru-san! It's just.. are you feeling okay?" She asked tentatively. As much as she hated being lied to, all she wanted was for Mahiru to say 'yes.'
"Well.. It could be better.. But.. you're here now.. so I feel much better!" It was clear she was straining to talk. Yuno would not have that. She didn't want her to make her condition worse just to chat with Yuno. She loved talking to her, but not if it made her feel worse!
"You- You don't have to force yourself to talk you know-" As she was saying that, the worst possible thing that could've happened happened. Mahiru covered her mouth with her hand not in a cast and coughed. She didn't really see it fully, but could see a splatter of red. Red. Red as in blood. Red as in she might die.
"I.. Yuno-chan.. I'm so.. sorry you have to.. see me like this.. I don't want you to see me.. die.." Yuno was in tears now. When was the last time she cried? It didn't matter. All that mattered was making sure Mahiru was happy before she moved on. She wiped her tears and crouched down, holding Mahiru's hand in hers despite the blood that was on it.
"Dont- You don't need to apologize for this, M-Mappi! Please tell me.. what could I do to make this easier on you? D-do you need anything? Maybe-" She was interrupted by a soft weight on her head, Mahiru placing a soft kiss on her hair (she didn't have time to decipher the warmth she suddenly felt within but knew that it must be love).
"It's okay, Yun-chan.. As long.. As you're.. here." She whispered out breathily as she lifted her head back up and squeezed the hand holding Yunos as tight as she could.
Yuno could see the light slowly fade from Mappi's eyes, but she was smiling, so Yuno must've done good, right? Before she took her final breath, Yuno asked one last question.
"Can.. Do you want a- a hug?" Mappi nodded, probably not even being able to speak right now. As gently as she could, Yuno got up and hugged Mappi. She didn't know how long she stayed like that even as she felt Mappi's body suddenly go limp. She allowed herself to cry. She didn't even get to say I love you (as in aishite, not daisuki). After what felt like forever but still wasn't long enough, she went to get the warden to update them on the latest dead prisoner.
7 alive. 3 dead. Among the dead were Haruka Sakurai, Shidou Kirisaki, and Mahiru Shiina. Muu didn't know how to feel about this. Haruka.. Haruka died in front of her, for her even! And she still got a guilty verdict! As long as she was alive, she would never forgive Es!
Muu didn't feel that strongly over the doctor's death, but still, they were allowed to kill people here? Mahiru.. They weren't that close, but she was a comforting presence to be around. She heard Yuno was the last person with her, so was it like Muu and Haruka?
As Muu got out of her room and went to the cafeteria as best as she could (stupid restraints! What was even the point of this? If you asked her, only Kotoko deserved these! Muu did nothing wrong!), she noticed Yuno's new.. haircut.
Purplish hair. Short haircut. She knew where she saw that before. She was about to look away but Yuno looked towards her (Y: Short blonde hair.. Mappi?) then quickly looked away. Weird. Oh well, Muu wasn't complaining, she didn't want to be reminded of.. that.
She never really seeked out Yuno to talk to, but that gave Muu even more reason to avoid her. Muu then realised she would need.. assistance to eat. Who could she ask? Hmm.. no.. but then the only person left is..
Muu would rather starve than look at Yuno again, but they were serving her favorite food for once! Swallowing her pride, she went over to Yuno.
"Hey, Rei, Muu can't-" Wait. What did she call her? Rei? "Ahh, sorry! Yuno reminded Muu of someone she knew! C-can you help Muu eat?" Muu said, quickly correcting herself. R- Yuno looked confused then shrugged, gesturing Muu to sit down.
As she helped Muu eat, Yuno (her name is Yuno, Muu) asked her a question. "Is that enough, Mahiru-san?- Muu-chan!" Mahiru-san? Muu reminded her of.. Was it the hair? Muu would've patted her hair if she could, but couldn't so she just looked quizzically at Yuno, before nodding in reply and getting up to go back to her room. Weird. Maybe it would be best for Muu to avoid Yuno.

Hiii!!!
This is actually my first ever request- like ever-
Ummm Can you do a cosmo x gender neutral reader who’s a plushie??
And wants to make cosmo be more kind to themselves, I’ve often seen cosmo (kind of) putting his needs down to help everyone else, So the reader wants to help with that!!
You could make it into a headcannon! You don’t have to this if you don’t want to-

Cosmo x Plushie Reader Headcanons!
- When he neglects his own needs too much to help everyone else, you make sure he takes a break. You usually hug him for comfort too, especially since you're a plushie!
- After you make sure Cosmo takes care of himself, you help him with the things he needs to do and remind him that he doesn't have to force himself to do more than he is capable of.
- Cosmo feels like he isn't useful if he can't help anyone, and though low self-esteem doesn't fix that fast, you make sure to let him know that he's good enough for you no matter what.
- You help him with his anxiety when it gets too bad, hugging him and acting as a weighted plushie.
Short scenario of you reminding him to take breaks!
Cosmo was doing too much again. Not that you didn't like him being kind—but you feel it'd be better if it wasn't at the expense of his own needs. Luckily, you were there to help with that!
You watch him finish talking to a toon and approach him after.
"Ah- (Name)! Didn't see you there! Uhm- did you need anything?" He asked nervously. You opened your arms for a hug and saw something flicker in his eyes as he leaned into your warm touch.
"Cosmo.. remember what I said? Take care of yourself first. Did you eat anything today?" You asked calmly. He was the reason you kept snacks in your room, knowing he sometimes forgot to eat.
"No.. But it's fine! You don't have to-"
"But I want to, Cosmo. Please let me help you?" It was the least you could do. For someone like Cosmo who helped others, usually nobody would help them back. Except you, of course. Maybe it was in your nature—maybe it was because you liked each other—but either way, you didn't just need to help him, but you wanted to.
You looked at each other as something flickered in his eyes once again before he nodded, smiling at you. Sure he was a piece of chocolate, but you didn't think anything could be sweeter than what you felt at that moment.
💜 - TY FOR BEING MY FIRST REQUEST!! also sorry this was kinda late i got sick but I'm better now! - 💜

' hiraeth '
Hiraeth - noun. a homesickness for a home to which you cannot return.
Fandom: My Hero Academia
Ships: Toga Himiko/Ochako Uraraka (Togachako) Background IzuOcha(?) and BakuDeku
Synopsis: Katsuki Bakugo tags along with Izuku Midoriya and Ochako Uraraka at a nearby shopping mall, pushing the odd.. feeling growing inside his chest as he sees the two interact. He then buys a Ouija board, allowing him to communicate with a certain bloodthirsty blonde who uses this opportunity to tell him about 'Ochako-chan.' Then, Himiko Toga and Ochako Uraraka meet in a 'dream' where they confess their love to eachother.
More writing info/writing requests here!: information!
Izuku psyched himself up. Ok. He can do this. He's been through a literal war.. So why was ringing Kacchan's doorbell making him sweat so much? If he didn't know any better, he would even say that he felt more nervous than he did that time Shigaraki cornered him at the mall.
Speaking of malls.. he should probably head back to where Ochako was waiting. This was stupid. Why would Kacchan even agree to go to a mall with *him?* He knew Kacchan long enough to know how much he hated shopping.
But then again.. Eri's birthday was coming up! So was Christmas! Besides, Kacchan did break Jirou's music equipment too.. At the very least, he could cough up some money if he really didn't want to go. Yes. Izuku would start with that—less chance of being blown up. He inched back towards the door and pressed the doorbell.
*Ding dong!*
Izuku could hear faint yelling from inside, with a following 'Im going hag!' Honestly, how could Kacchan be so rude to Mitsuki-san? Sometimes he felt bad for-
He shook his head. No, Izuku, don't be mean! That's just how Kacchan and Mitsuki-san show their love. Distracted by his thoughts, he didn't even realize he was muttering until-
"Hah? Deku? What are you doing here?" A loud gruff voice sounded. Kacchan looked annoyed.. but he wasn't blowing him up yet! That's gotta count for something, right?
"Ah.. Well.. I was wondering if you wanted to.. to go to the mall with us?" He replied, barely managing not to stutter. Kacchan was heaps nicer now than he used to be, but old habits die hard.
"The mall? Why would I waste my time with some extras?" Izuku was expecting some hesitance. But he got this far! He couldn't accept a 'no' anymore. He had to bring out the big guns.
"Kacchan.. please?" He pouted. He didn't know why, but this always seemed to work on Kacchan for some reason. But.. What if it didn't work? He'd get blown up! Kacchan would hate him forever-
Wait. He looked like he was considering.. Izuku allowed himself to feel a bit of hope, which proved to be a good decision after all!
"Tch. Whatever. Much better than staying with the hag all day." He said, pushing past Izuku. Thank goodness he agreed. "Who else will be there, nerd?"
"Ah.. Just Ochako." Kacchan tensed, but as quickly as he did he relaxed. Izuku wasn't even sure if it really happened. Oh well! He was just glad to hang out with Kacchan again.
Katsuki HATED shopping. He could name a thousand things better to do with the time wasted, and for what, Christmas shopping? Despite how poor the nerd was compared to him, he wasn't homeless at the very least. He'd rather go shopping with Deku rather than some extra who yapped into his ear about the latest fashion trends that they knew nothing about.
“Thanks for agreeing to come here again Kacchan!” The idiot said. Why was he even thanking him anyways? Doesn't he know that pisses him off? It's a wonder that that crybaby survived all the way until now.
“Tch, whatever nerd. Remember that I could walk out anytime I want and you and your little girlfriend can't stop me!” Katsuki replied, walking faster than the nerd and his idiot girlfriend. How did he–a quir- useless crybaby–get a girlfriend before the awesome, amazing, mighty smart, LORD EXPLOSION MURDER GOD DYNAMIGHT-
“Bakugo, don't be mean! And we're not even dating..” Pink cheeks–whose cheeks are even pinker now–said, interrupting Katsuki’s inner monologue. Katsuki clicked his tongue again and sped up even more, almost jogging now, forcing Deku to chase after him (that's how it was always supposed to be, wasn't it?).
“Kacchan! Wait up!” Deku yelled, chasing after Katsuki. Just as he was about to catch up to Katsuki, Katsuki stopped abruptly, causing the doofus to trip. He cackled loudly, drawing a few stares at the 3 of them.
The moment ended, however, when the green dumbass stood up with that pouty expression of his that he does whenever he's ‘mad.’ His freckles moved with his cheeks as they filled with air, the nerd now pouting like a child.
They must've been standing like that for a minute, because Deku’s cheeks started turning pink like Pink Cheeks’ default expression. Katsuki realised the amount of eye contact wasn’t socially acceptable, so he coughed and looked away abruptly as if staring into the sun (since when did he care about social regulations?).
“Ugh, whatever. Why are we even in this stupid place anyways? What's so important that you had to drag me along again?” Katsuki said, recovering from the moment occurring not even 10 seconds ago.
Pink Cheeks was the first to speak saying, “Well Bakugo, since you obviously don't check your phone, we're here to replace Jirou’s music equipment which you broke, and buy a present for Eri!” as if it was obvious.
How was Katsuki supposed to know? He didn't waste his time on his phone all day, he actually had a life unlike these two losers! He said just as much, prompting a disappointed look from the pink one and a frown from the green one.
“Fine, fine. Yeah, I get the music equipment shit, but why does the unicorn even need a present?” He bit out, crossing his arms in annoyance. The unicorn brat wasn't as annoying and bratty as other kids he met, but still. Katsuki should be used as an example for all kids out there! After all, he was the best, most well-behaved child out there.
“Well.. because I like my arms and she helped me get them back during the war..? And it's almost her birthday, Kacchan!” The fucking idiot said as if it was more obvious than water being important for human survival. Since when did that rat become so sassy anyways? Katsuki apologising that one time isn't a gateway for him to be so disrespectful now!
That brat was lucky they were in a public space and that Katsuki was in a great mood, thank you very much. And also, did he forget Katsuki was literally getting resurrected by the time that happened? How was he supposed to know!
Pink Cheeks was now staring at him intently, almost like a mother giving ‘that look’ to their misbehaving child. Katsuki was not a child! And the old hag gives him that look enough on a daily basis! He doesn't need it here! He clicks his tongue and just storms off, ignoring the fact that he probably just proved a point. Where was he headed? He didn't know, as long as it was away from those maggots.
Katsuki was bored. The Ouija board that sat on his bedroom floor was taunting him. Why did he buy that again? Oh, right, the stupid employee said he was too ‘chicken’ too. Katsuki Bakugo wasn’t scared of anything! He got up and marched over to where the Ouija board was sitting.
He was setting it up in his room now. He didn't believe in stupid spirits, but if he could un-die, maybe it was worth a try. He will throw it out later, but he was bored and had nothing else to do anyways.
He got the Ouija board out of the box and went online to research. The questions most commonly asked.. hmm..
“Hey spirit. What's your name or whatever?” He said, hovering a finger over the pointer thingy. He honestly wasn't expecting anything to happen, what a waste of his time, he could so so much better more productive things like-
The pointer thing moved as it slowly hovered over certain letters..
H-I-M-I-K-O T-O-G-A
Holy shit. No, literally, *holy* shit. He didn't expect it to work. And isn't Toga that blood loving freak? He doesn't know what happened in the fight between her and Pink Cheeks, but Pink Cheeks looked depressed for a while, and still does now. Were they girlfriends?
I W-I-S-H
Um… He didn't say anything out loud, nor did he hover his finger over the board. Kind of suspicious, but Katsuki’s been through worse. Why is that knife psycho even talking to him?
O-C-H-A-K-O C-H-A-N
Jeez. The ‘-chan’ too? He should have reported Pink Cheeks sooner.. Less of a headache to deal with. And if she went to jail for dating a criminal- no, a literal villain, even better. He had to admit, he was pleasantly surprised this worked. Being acquainted with ghosts would probably be better than humans, because he could just perform an exorcism or some shit if the knife girl annoyed him-
“KATSUKI BAKUGO IF YOU DON'T COME DOWN HERE RIGHT NOW-“ The old hag yelled. Geez, couldn't she be quiet every once in a while? It wouldn't hurt now would it?!
“I'M COMING HAG” He angrily yelled, slamming the door open then shut. Tch. Psycho girl would have to wait. He could smell the spicy chicken, and would rather die (again) than give that up.
Himiko was so excited! It's been a while since she's talked to someone, and she was so glad it was someone close enough to Ochako-chan! She wanted to know all sorts of things about her–but none of them could beat her desire of knowing how she was doing.
She had no regrets apart from not reaching out to Ochako-chan earlier. If she has known how sweet and genuinely kind she was.. and she didn't even see her as weird. Called her the cutest girl–even promised to give her blood the rest of her life! But.. sorry, Ochako-chan, Himiko wanted to be free, and she knew she'd get thrown into Tartarus if she survived where Ochako-chan couldn't even give her blood.
The rest of the League.. she wondered if they were alright, or if they ended up like her. If they were in the 'afterlife' she really did want to see them again, but had to do one last thing before then. Something more important than anything else she had ever done in her entire life.
Confess to Ochako-chan. Well, she technically already did, but that wasn't the way she wanted it to go. Just a simple 'I really love you, Ochako-chan! I will wait for you!' would be enough. She could only hope she wasn't missing her too much..
Ochako.. didn't like admitting it out loud, but she missed Himiko. She saw Himiko in everything she did, everyone she was close to, and even herself. The way her own eyes squinted a bit when she smiled like Himiko's did, the little mannerisms she noticed in some of her friends that made her wonder if Himiko ever did those too, among other things.
The worst reminder was Izuku, however. That was probably why she was sticking around him so much—not that she doesn't like his company! She really does appreciate it, but she can't help but feel like..
If she had met Himiko earlier–if she had tried reaching out sooner–how different would life be? Would Himi be the one accompanying her to the mall instead of Izuku? Would she be the one she confided all her secrets to instead of her pillow when her thoughts got as dark as the night sky?
Either way, the past is in the past, and try as she might she couldn't change what already happened. She could only hope that wherever Himi-chan was, she was smiling that radiant smile as bright as a thousand suns. Sure, that amount of light would blind anyone, but Ochako wouldn't mind it if Himiko was the last person she saw.
"..fun? Ochako? Dear, you've been zoning out for a bit. Is everything alright?" A soft voice sounded. Oh, mom! Right, she was already home. She felt like she's been on autopilot ever since leaving the mall together with Izuku and Bakugo. She shook her head, shaking herself out of her stupor and plastered on a smile to not worry her mother.
"Yeah, sorry! I had so much fun!" She smiled. As she talked to her mom, her thoughts about Himiko slowly started fading away. Later tonight, however, she would dream of her once again, and it would be more realistic than it had ever been before.
Katsuki finished eating and went back up to his room, closing his door. He'd be damned if his parents caught him talking to ghosts or whatever. They'd be worried and fuss over him like they did after the war–it made him feel weak which he hated.
"Alright, blood freak, say everything that you wanna say cuz Im disposing of this tomorrow. It's bad enough that I'm talking to a villain–but you're a ghost so it's worse!" He knew he probably looked insane talking to a wooden board, but he just wanted to get rid of the ghost already.
M-E-A-N-I-E
Was that freak really wasting her time on pointing out the obvious? That word didn't affect him at all! If he got a dollar for everytime he got called that, he'd be somewhere on the opposite side of the world away from the extras who think he likes hanging out with them–oh wait, he was already rich, he didn't need extra money and yet he found himself staying despite his 'dislike' for his.. friends.
N-V-M H-A-H-A S-O-F-T-I-E
Nevermind. Take back all the nice thoughts he had about the extras. Better yet he would get rid of the Ouija board now and get it over with. It was a cool experience and all but he could always buy another one.
"Bye, psycho blood freak. Haunt Pink Cheeks or whatever." He said, picking up the board and putting it back in the box then putting it in his closet. Maybe he would open it again one day, for now he needed sleep. It was already 9pm–way past his bedtime. Hopefully no ghost will haunt him today.
Himiko.. didn't know where she was. It was like one moment she was watching Katsu-chan sleep (he wasn't as cute as Ochako-chan, but hey, a girl needed to do *something!*)
She closed her eyes for a second, before waking up in.. a garden, it seemed? There were lots of flowers and trees and the atmosphere was so.. serene. She had her body again—wearing a school uniform just like she always did. Was this the afterlife? Then where was the rest of the League?
She wandered around for a bit, before seeing a figure in the distance. She couldn't quite make it out, but ran towards it anyway, desperate for some kind of connection. Just as she got closer, she came to an abrupt stop. Was that..
Ochako.. didn't know where she was. She knew she was (probably) dreaming, but this felt too realistic! She was wearing her usual outfit in a garden full of trees and flowers.. Himiko would love this place. She wandered around for a bit. It wasn't a nightmare this time, there would be no reason to force herself awake this time.
She picked up some flowers from the ground and heard footsteps to her right. Someone else was here? She turned her head slowly—only to immediately drop what she was holding. It can't be..
"Himi-chan.. is it.. really you?" Ochako breathed. Himiko looked.. different. Her eyes were brighter, her smile just as genuine as it was the day she died.
"Ochako-chan.." She whispered. Himiko was.. shocked but *definitely* not unhappy. She really really missed Ochako-chan. She wanted to run up to her and hug her, but she wasn't sure if Ochako-chan would-
"H-himiko..!" Ochako rushed up to Himiko, their bodies colliding in a tight hug. Ochako really did not want to wake up right now. Not yet. Not after getting Himiko back, even if it's just a dream.
They stayed in each other's arms for a long, long time, afraid to let go like the other would disappear if they did. The silence was broken when Himiko spoke.
"Ochako-chan I.. don't know how long we can stay but I just wanted to say.. I love you, Ochako-chan! I really do! I regret not being able to say it sooner. I-I promise I will wait for you. I will fall in love with you over and over again no matter what universe we're in, I swear!" A tearful voice sounded, which only caused Ochako to cry harder.
"H-himiko I-I.. I love you too! I promise we will meet again soon. My love for you will never die either, I promise!" She cried, holding a pink out. Himiko and her interlocked pinkies, and just as quickly as she appeared into this place, she was out.
Despite the whole ordeal not being much more than 10 minutes, Ochako and Himiko both held it in their hearts indefinitely, until they did in fact meet again.
Until then, Ochako would keep that moment in her heart, creating a safe program where kids who had ‘villainous’ quirks like Himiko could get the right guidance for it and grow not just to take but to give too.
