How They Text the Reader Headcanons #2

↳ Characters included are Giorno Giovanna, Pannacotta Fugo, and Narancia Ghirga. Gender neutral Reader; implied everyone lives AU.

A/n: Thank you all so much for the support on my last text headcanon list. It was so fun to write, and I hope that y'all enjoy the second-half of the main part five cast. Once again, I had a blast while writing this!

Giorno Giovanna

You expected him to be a dry-texter, in all honesty. Straightforward and to the point; only ever texting out of necessity. You couldn’t really imagine him as the type to sit down, and have a silly conversation over text.

And at the beginning, that was certainly the case.

Being introduced to the team all at once is certainly overwhelming, and although Giorno adjusted well, he still didn’t know you or the others.

Within the team’s groupchat, he only ever spoke up about important matters as that were being discussed. Whenever a more lighthearted conversation arose, usually because of Mista, he would grow completely radio silent.

Does he really read those texts at all? you recall yourself wondering, Or does he tune us out completely? Can’t really blame him if that's the case; this team... takes time to adjust to.

And eventually learning that he always read those conversations, it was one of the first indications you saw of his character. One of the first times you realized he can and will find his place on the team.

So, while you were in the process of just getting to know Giorno, you developed low expectations when it came to communicating with him over the phone. Hell, you hardly expected him to text you at all.

Oh, what a fool you once were.

As the relationship blossoms, Giorno still texts you as usual. With proper grammar and punctuation, as well as the occasional emoji or two.

But he's far from being a dry-texter. On the contrary, he’s rather cheeky.

And because of his position in Passione after a certain point, work soaks up a lot of his time. He’d much rather call you, but that’s simply not an option most days.

So he simply pokes and teases you over text. Sitting alone in his office, he almost always wears a tiny yet pleasant smile on his face when he reads whatever you send him.

Giorno doesn’t send memes or funny pictures often, but when he does, it’s either pure gold or ridiculously unfunny. Merely doing it every now and then to get a little bit of a rise out of you, of all things.

And he loves it even more if you’re the type to tease him right back:

Pannacotta Fugo

Practically the inventor of double-texting.

He’s got no shame in it either, and if anything, he would argue that him sending multiple messages means you ought to reply. He’s not exactly impatient with you, though.

He usually uses proper grammar over text as well. More than that, he’ll lecture anyone case for not doing the same. He even once pointed out a simple mistake Abbacchio made.

It���s merely lighthearted teasing if you’re the type to not use proper grammar over text, though. Fugo wears his favoritism for you on his sleeve whenever he gets on Narancia’s case for the same exact reason.

That said, when he’s angry, forget about grammar- you just want to be able to understand him.

He complains to you over text... a lot. The outlet is good for him, in a sense. Fugo’s incredibly grateful to have someone like you who will listen to him so earnestly, and he expresses that often. Considering his temper, it really does mean so much more to him than he knows how to express.

It makes knowing whether or not he’s genuinely upset or just playing around easy for you to figure out, at least. Are his text messages legible? If so, there's no reason for concern.

Once, he was ranting to you about a disagreement that arose between him and Abbacchio. His texts were steadily becoming hard to understand, and you prepared yourself to talk to your boyfriend through his anger.

But before you could, he stopped texting you all together.

That was rather confusing, as he’s the type to continue blowing up your phone when frustrated. It wasn’t until almost twenty minutes later, when you saw Mista’s contact pop up for a phone a call, that you found out why.

It was Fugo on the other end, calling from Mista’s phone to bashfully inform you he chucked his own phone out of anger and ended up breaking it.

Later that year, you got him one of those expensive cases that could likely protect a phone falling from absurd heights for Fugo’s birthday. He seemed a bit embarrassed over it, but appreciated the gift nonetheless (He won’t admit it but it does come in handy).

You just cannot stop yourself from teasing him a little bit, especially over the phone. His indulgent reactions are worth it every single time:

Narancia Ghirga

He’s bound to make you cry from laughter over text. Whether it’s his words alone or a meme he sends you from his vast collection (His phone is almost always on the brink of running out of storage), making you laugh comes naturally to him.

It’s a source of pride for him, so reacting bombastically over text is exactly what he’s looking for.

Narancia is also a major sucker for gossip, so he loves sharing everything he hears with you over text. From a random conversation he eavesdropped overhead while out, to drama taking place within Bucciarati’s group.

Doing the same in return is greatly appreciated, as he adores hearing your input.

He’ll also text you at random asking questions like “What did Buccarati want me to do again?” and “Do you happen to know where I put my notebook?” Whenever he racks his brain and cannot find an answer to a dilemma, he’s almost always going to voice his confusion to you with little hesitation.

He’s sent you those types of texts... while on missions. Snitching to Bucciarati is not advised.

You’ve tried telling him he could type those sorts of things down in his notes, but he either forgets to do so or wrongfully assumes that he’ll remember.

Narancia, Mista, Fugo, and you have a groupchat separate from the others on the team. Considering the madness that regularly occurs on it, Narancia’s proud to mention he’s the one who originally suggested the idea.

That said, as much as he likes to text you, he’s not the type to text you good morning and good night every day. Rather, he texts you only when “he has something to say.” Which... is often enough on its own.

He will also complain to you over text often as well. Although, it's not usually out of outright anger:

you might think draken will take his sister being murdered better than hearing emma got killed, but i write to prove you wrong for a few reasons.

one, and the most obvious one, you've lived with him your whole life. he's the only person you truly consider family, and he's the same. he will never rest peacefully knowing you're sad or disturbed in some way.

he basically raised you after your own mother ran away from the brothel, with some assistance from the other workers too, ofc, but ken was the one consistent person in your life. he's walked you through your first steps, first words, and all of the above.

and for him to see you dead after taking care of you and forming a healthy sibling bond with you? it's too cruel for him.

and unlike when emma died, i don't think draken wants to blame anyone else but kisaki for your death. one, mikey isn't as responsible for you as he was for emma, who his little sister and therefore carry responsibility looking after her.

your safety and wellbeing, on the other hand, rested mostly with draken. sure, draken gave mikey some responsibility of taking care of you when he's not there, but it's definitely not enough weight for draken to place blame on mikey's shoulders like that.

i mean, mikey is bound to be mourning you too because you were just as much of a friend and a sister as emma, and while he may blame himself, i think draken would look straight to kisaki if he wanted to blame someone.

it's even sadder for all parties because you weren't even involved in the whole thing. you didn't even know toman existed, you just thought that was draken's friend group. this is mainly because draken didn't want you involved with gangster stuff even remotely.

you were collateral damage, basically, but you were also so much more than that.

every delinquent in toman who knew about you were devasted, of course. chifuyu, mitsuya, hakkai, even inui was horrified to hear that you were killed mercilessly, and you never managed to see ken for one last time.

it's easy to say that the delinquents who did go to the tenjiku fight were mostly driven by the need for vengeance for your sake, and i'd imagine koko would be pretty shaken after hearing that YOU of all people were dead. he's pretty mixed on what to do because obviously he's a part of tenjiku, but if he's working with people who'd kill a child who wasn't even ten-years-old without batting an eye, where does that place him?

i don't think koko, in the tenjiku arc at least, would be willing to work with people who are heartless to that level.

and even though toman has technically "won" the fight, it's not worth much to ken because you're still dead.

oh, and let's not forget emma, who was kind of the whole reason you died.

she feels horrible for ken. she feels like she can't mourn for you because you threw your little body in the way for her sake so she could live, but you had to die.

honestly, she couldn't live with herself for a while because every time she closed her eyes, the image of you going flying with blood coming out of your head was all she could see. the last time emma felt this sad was when shinichiro died, and i'd genuinely think emma also saw you as her little sister.

with how she views draken, it won't be a stretch to say emma hoped you'd be her future sister-in-law.

hence, being the main reason you were dead, emma would then feel like she doesn't deserve to like draken, let alone potentially marrying him in the future.

the timeline, due to the connections and impact you had on the people in toman, would have some changes. draken and emma would probably stopping seeing each other as romantic interests, not because draken blames emma, but because they couldn't move on probably from your death.

mikey might follow the same path and start bonten as he did when emma died, but i think he'd have some sanity and refrain from committing crimes that can potentially impact a child. for example, if there's one of their business partners who haven't paid their debts, he'd give them extra time because they have a kid.

essentially, anytime mikey sees or hears about a kid, he thinks of you and how unfair it was for you to die so early.

he doesn't want other kids to go through any remotely similar, i guess.

i also see him trying to "adopt" kids into bonten if they're not in a good home situation, or if their parents are downright horrible. it'll probably be safer for them to be in a secured environment like the headquarters than their house, if their home life really isn't that safe.

i also don't see takemichi having mercy or feeling bad for kisaki dying if ken's sister was dead and for good reason.

you were a kid. if kisaki wanted to, he could've avoided hitting you and not kill you, but he didn't.

he saw you jump in the way and still went for it, which in takemichi's view, would probably warrant an equal fate.

i don't think anyone, hanma included, would have much respect for kisaki for going so far with his plan to the point he would kill an eight-year-old kid.

i get that hanma has his attachments to kisaki, and he'll still mourn for kisaki's death, but i don't think it'll be as in depth as it was in canon. he might question whether his view of kisaki was right or not, because as demented some of the people in tokyo revengers are, i doubt they'd go as far as killing a child.

adults, yes because they can think of what could prevent themselves from not turning past tense, but kids hardly have enough of a brain to think about what they're doing, let alone consider the fact that they'd die so early.

the emotionally wound and trauma overall would be harder for draken, considering his deep-rooted attachment to you. and depending on who you were close to, it'll be just as hard on them.

Mikey is not at all shy about telling you how perfect and really perfect you look in every conceivable situation. You go for a walk? He tells you he's never seen anything prettier. You're in the shower? He's practically glued to it and won't stop telling you how wonderful you look.

Draken almost always looks at you. At least whenever he can. For some reason, his eyes are always around you, no matter what you're wearing. He might go crazy if you're wearing a short skirt or a tight shirt because he can't help but stare at your accentuated body parts and blush every time you move even slightly. We won't go into that any further.

Mitsuya always gets extreme love attacks when you wear clothes that he has made. He always adjusts every seam and every fabric to your perfect body, so that all the wonderful parts are highlighted. Every time you walk around in front of him in one of these pieces of clothing, he forgets how to breathe and has to turn away to hide his blushing face.

Chifuyu thought at the beginning of your relationship that you were only with him because you wanted to get closer to one of his friends. Not a single girl has ever looked at him the way his friends are looked at, so he wondered why such a beautiful Munich fell in love with him. But after your first kiss, he realised that love can't be faked so well.

Baji got a nosebleed when he saw you for the first time. You just walked into the classroom in your school uniform and as soon as he caught a glimpse of your pretty face, it happened. Of course he was terribly uncomfortable and that wasn't the first impression he wanted to make on you, but at least now you can tease him every time he stares at you.

Takemichi wonders every day why someone like you, who could get anyone with his beauty, would want to be with him. You just look so pretty with that sweet grin painted on your perfect face. He thinks that you are a work of art. Of course, he's not just with you because you're pretty, but honestly, he loves your body.

Angry adores your body and he just can't keep his hands off you. Not just in the kinky sense, but much more in general. He's very shy, but even so, his little finger is given away with yours as soon as he walks or stands next to you. There is simply no prettier creature for him than you.

Smiley really does show you off a lot. To be honest, he always stands behind you so that you come into your own in front of him. It's just his thing to stand behind you, one arm around your waist, like: I know, she's a masterpiece, isn't she? Well, unfortunately it's already mine. I don't know why, but his grin always gets a little more mischievous when he sees that another boy staring at you and then realises who is standing behind you.

Hakkai is, just to be clear, extremely shy around pretty much any girl. You're certainly no exception. But we're only talking about in public here. Behind closed doors, he can hardly keep his hands or eyes away from you. He likes it best when you only wear short and comfortable clothes so that he can see a lot of your skin.

Kazutora hasn't seen you for a long time and honestly? He almost fainted when he saw what a beautiful young woman you had become. He quickly got used to it though and made a habit of admiring and loving every inch of your perfect body. He just can't help himself.

Koko loves your body and every inch of it. Sometimes you're just lying on your sofa scrolling through social media and he lies on top of you and draws circles and lines on your body. He loves these moments, especially because he can really relax, as he usually works so much and hardly gets any rest. And he has a clear view of your body…

Inupi stares at you from a distance and when you notice it, he looks away and blushes so much that you know he was staring has been staring. Your body is simply too hypnotising for him and he doesn't know what to do about it. Every single movement looks perfect and every part of your body is wonderful.

Hanma rarely tells you how great you look, but he definitely shows it. Not intentionally, but he shows it. Sometimes you notice how he stares at you with extraordinary affection or how he absently strokes your body and hums softly. He actually wonders why you're with him. When Tokyo Revengers boys come home injured

Trys to sneak into the house as quietly as possible and pretend nothing is wrong. He knows that you would be terribly upset and that's exactly what he doesn't want. But as it happened, you realised that he was hurt. To be honest, it wasn't that difficult to see that he's not half as well as he seems. He's limping, there's swelling over his left eye and his face is covered in scratches. You just stood in the doorway for half a minute staring at him while your eyes filled with tears. He moved towards you as fast as he could, but you were faster. You quickly moved to his side to support him and before he really knew what you were doing, you had already taken him into the living room and pushed him onto the sofa. He asked you what you were doing, but you didn't answer or look at him. After a few minutes, you came back with plasters, ointment, bandages and disinfectant. Before you did anything, you sat down next to him on the sofa, carefully took his hand and looked him in the eyes. You explained to him that you were worried about him, of course, but that it would be much worse if he didn't tell you that he was injured. After a sweet kiss, you helped him take off his shirt, exposing even more injuries. Sighing, you took the disinfectant to clean his wounds and scratches before applying some ointment and plasters. After you you gave him a kiss on the cheek and then got up to get him some of the leftover dinner. In those few minutes of silence around him, his thoughts became loud. You didn't have to do that, but you did it anyway. He couldn't help but smile and be happy to have you.
