i think i have to let her go

went to my cousins today

they all know about you

everything was fine until your name came

don't you think she was just interested in your intelligence

you were just a pastime until she had time for fun

she just wanted you as an emotional cushion all this while

i hid my face in my arms so that they don't see my tears

for them, it was just a joke

for me it wasn't

all they found me saying was

she is too pure to do that

she just has a soul too young and confused to understand such deep feelings

but you know what the worst part was?

i had nothing to show in your defence, except my belief

the fact that you no longer speak to me, the way you did, testifies them

an entire day spent with my friends

after a long while i was free the entire day

a day full of fun, banter and joy

but now i am back home

and when i have nothing to do, i feel your absence

in my silent moments, i miss you a little louder

i am not a good writer

but someone has already described my feelings better

i can't figure out what's disturbing me more

watching you become cold?

or missing the chirpy, innocent soul i once fell for?
