Was caer an actual person in Irish mythology or was Aengus just insane 🙁

I mean, it all depends on your perspective on how you want to interpret these stories. I'm certainly ✨ unqualified✨ to make broad statements about whether or not anyone from Irish mythology actually exists, but there are plenty of similar stories from all over the world about meeting a lover in your dreams.

My instinct is to let Aengus have this one because it's one of the only actually happy Irish romances that I've seen so far, anyway.

Also if it was just Aengus being insane, it would have to be more than just Aengus since they did get everyone involved in successfully tracking down Caer.
