classical music echoed through the large room. only for it to be accompanied by steps of two people, you and kid.

there was little to no conversation between the both of you, knowing that you were simply focusing on each step and sway, so was he.

it was quite uncommon for you to be in this predicament, but it was much more surprising when kid asked you if the both of you could practice the waltz.

in all honesty, you weren't even sure why you even accepted. you didn't have much talent or knowledge on dance. yet, there was a little thought on your head to just accept the offer. who knows what might become of this encounter?

not to mention, you've been admiring kid for quite a while now. with his elegance and perfection, it'd be impossible for you to just ignore him. it seemed he has captured your heart, yet you never mustered up the courage to tell him.

the both of you continued to sway with the music, glancing looks towards each others. you weren't really sure where to look, and you were fighting every urge not to stare at kid's enchanting golden eyes; not attempting to make things awkward.

you continued to stare around the room and admire the jewels and details that adorned the room, considering that he was the son of death, it wasn't surprising that he'd be wealthy or the sorts.

as the music went on longer, you noticed that his grip on you hand tightened. his eyes looking anywhere other than your's, and the slight redness of his face had been noticeable. you raised an eyebrow at this but brushed it off.

meanwhile, kid had only realized the situation he's in now. for some reason, he only comprehended now that he was quite close to you, and that his hand was interlocked with yours whilst the other was on your waist.

only then did he speak up. "[name], how do you feel— right now." coughing up what ever he could out of his brain.

slightly surprised, you answered him with a small 'just fine'. though, now you regret having said such a short answer, since the atmosphere between the both of you became awkward.

kid spoke up once more, asking, "do you, perhaps, like anyone?" he questioned.

you kept your face down, more preferably anywhere he could not see your flustered face. with your mind a bit jumbled up, you seemed to ignore his question. yet your surprise did not go unnoticed by kid as you started fumbling the steps in the dance.

he called your name once more, and only then did you look up. with your eyes fixated towards the side, you sheepishly answered his question. "yes, i may have a crush or liking on someone." still keeping your gaze anywhere from his.

finally, the music ended. kid released his hands from yours, whilst you did the same.

kid had begun walking to the record player within the room, assuming that he'd either remove or replay the vinyl.

you continued your answer from earlier, "to be more specific, i love someone." you said with your back facing kid. your sudden words caught his attention, piquing his curiosity.

"and could i ask who this 'someone' might be?" he said, walking away the record player, now towards you.

you turned around, finally facing him. "well, this 'someone' is standing right infront of me. i like you, kid." your heart was racing, you really just confessed.

kid smiled, a soft one filled with care. "i'm quite glad, because i like you too."

you stepped closer, laying your hands on his shoulders, contemplating whether you should kiss him or not.

yet it seems he beat you to it. both his hands held your face towards his, he asked; "may i?". understanding the implication, you nodded.

the gap between the both of you closed, as he finally kissed you.

also, notes! im now writing for soul eater aswell, but it's gonna take me awhile to update my rules, navi, etc. i do also plan to revamp my blog so it may take a while

and im quite sorry for not posting for like, an entire month 😭 i got busy with personal things, and we only got our 1 week break now :')

but anyways, ill try to write more considering i have more ideas : D

there was a different kind of beauty when it came to the heartslabyul rose maze. despite the continuous and seemingly endless halls of bushes adorned with only the most entrancing roses, you find yourself constantly taking a walk through it to admire its charm.

similar to now, you were walking once more throughout the maze. yet not to clear your head or to fall within the beauty, but to meet the housewareden.

the housewarden, riddle rosehearts. the riddle rosehearts whom you've grown with. the riddle rosehearts who'd been with you through all your years.

despite the fact that his mother forbid him from having friends or any of the sorts, he always seemed to find a way to talk to you.

leading to where you are today, being asked to join tea time with riddle. it wasn't unsual for the boy to ask these requests, infact it was something you looked forward to considering you two do it every once in a while.

and he would always ask you. no one else, not even the vice-housewarden.

in all honesty, you've garnered some feelings towards riddle. yet you've never had the heart to say it since you fear what it might shape the already endearing relationship you had with him.

so, you kept it hidden.

after walking for quite a bit you start to notice that you're getting closer to riddle, having familiarized the paths in the maze.

whilst you were still walking your way through, riddle had been growing impatient.

everything has been set, everything is perfect. now all he has to do is just ask. he starts to rapidly look towards his watch and the opening from the maze, still pondering where you might be.

then, he saw that familiar figure! it was you! riddle stood up almost immediately with a wide smile on his face.

"ah, [name], delightful! you're finally here." riddle said while you apologized for your tardiness, attempting to explain that the maze was too long until you were cut off.

"[name], could we talk?" he spoke in a tone that was different from his usual tone when he saw you. you nodded your head, still in uncertainty as you placed your attention on him.

he walked towards you, step by step up until you two were face to face. you stood there, still quite confused and startled. this was the closest you two have been to each other!

riddle took both of your hands and intertwined his into them, then he asked a question.

"could you be mine? forever?"

contrary to riddle's intelligence within literature and speech, all he could muster up were 5 words. 5 words tainted with zero elegance, class, or just anything nice! it was supposed to be a romantic confession, littered with flowery words yet instead of saying his feelings, he asked you?!

to say you were dumbfounded would be an understatement. did the guy you loved for maybe, years, just asked you to be his?

mouth agape yet your eyes still held that adoring gaze towards him. you're filled with a plethora of feelings, but most notably, happiness.

synopsis. due to a plethora of assignments, you've recently had to work a few nights away. but, that missed sleep caught up to you, especially while you were with riddle.

her notes. completely self indulgent i mysfeld is on the brink of going insane

you never thought that getting to your classes would be this hard. you're completely slumped over and drained of any energy, not sure if you should even try to attend anymore.

your train of thought was stopped, when a familiar red-head caught notice of you. "ah! [name], i've been looking all over for—" riddle paused when he looked up to you, documents threatening to fall out of his arms. did you come back from the dead?

your brain slowly processed that riddle was there, looking for you and you tried to elicit even a small response. yet, it seemed like nothing was coming out of your mouth.

this alerted riddle, from your slightly messed hair, to the visible eyebags, and now you were having trouble speaking?! he sighed and took your hand, disregarding the primary reason as to why he was even looking for you and focused on nursing you better instead. it'd be quite a problem if you got sick.

the both of you headed to the heartslabyul dorm, without protest from you.

while on the way, riddle kept shooting you with multiple questions, rendering you unable to answer all of them due to him changing the question so quickly. but he caught on and asked one at a time instead. he inquired why you were in such a state.

you had so much words to spill from your mouth, you were extremely sleep-deprived due to the amount of workload! not to mention, the extra responsibility with groupworks since every one of your groupmates wanted to act dead when you were asking them for their contribution.

to add on, crowley was assigning even more irrelevant work to you!

but, all you could say was; "work." leaving little context to riddle. but from the way you were carrying multiple papers, he could guess that you were flooded with assignments and deadlines.

finally reaching the dorm, riddle continued to drag you his room, which made you question why. he opened the door to his room, it was filled intricate designs basing from the queen of hearts.

you were finally able to speak a few words, you asked him why the both of you were in his room.

"this isn't a medical issue, so we can't use the infirmary. rather it's an issue with your sleep schedule, how much hours have you been getting every night?" you attempted to look somewhere else, because there's a chance that riddle might blow up if you answered saying that you weren't getting any sleep at all.

yet, your reluctantly said that for the past few days, you haven't slept. you fully expected riddle to lecture you saying that staying up that much is super unhealthy. but you were surprised when all he said was for you to sleep in his room for the meantime with a sigh.

were you actually experiencing hallucinations? how the fuck were you allowed to sleep in his rooms?

still dumbfounded, riddle reassured that it was fine for him. and with your tired mind, you obliged knowing that you really did need to sleep.

it was 4:37 pm, how long did you sleep for? you noticed that riddle was no longer in the room, your messed up stack of papers from before were now neatly arranged and their was a glass of water on his bedside table.

you stood up from the bed, finally regaining energy. looking around riddle's room, you fix yourself up and got your papers before leaving to find him and thank him.

steps were all to be heard within the dormitory's hall. you headed towards the lounge, seeing a few students there but not the one you were looking for.

then, heading to the rose garden, where you finally spotted that familiar red-head.

walking towards him, you observed he was tending to the hedgehogs. you tapped on his shoulder, trying not to startle him.

"oh, it seems you've woken up." riddle stated while you thanked him wholeheartedly for letting you rest. "thank you riddle, do you want anything from sam's shop or the cafeteria? my treat." you smiled at him.

he refused the offer, but offered to help you instead with your work. "your report on harveston's dialect has a few errors i can correct them for you— if you'd like."

"i'll gladly accept." you said with a smile once more.

— why won't they stop.. being mean to you? to put it simply, they hate how you've beguiled them. owning every piece of them, including their heart and mind despite them absolutely hating it. they're engulfed in the deep sea of you, that they're simply so revolted. because they always question, why is it you?

they despise you. they want to see you suffer for all the times you've filled up their brains and hearts. the way you enchant them, the way you keep them addicted to the image of you, is seriously repulsing to them. so in turn, they want to absolutely break and damage you, possibly to get you out of their heads.

they'd sneer at you whenever you'd do something bad while uttering the words, "how pathetic." as pathetic as them who stalked you just to 'see you embarass yourself further' knowing that wasn't the case. they'd mentally torture you every chance they get, like messing up with your thinking and manipulating you for their laughs. yet it doesn't compare to the times they've mentally tortured themselves aswell thinking about how perfect you'd look next to them.

for them, it's absolutely sick how you've enamoured them. they go absolutely insane when it comes to you. despite hurting you so, so much, they're willing to kill someone for you.
