lupin iii - three men and a baby

HERE ME OUT ik they throw children of varying ages at lupin all the time but have they ever given him a baby 🤔 i think it will be funny

i have a very clear image in my head that some woman thrusts a baby on lupin, claiming it's his (but its actually to protect the baby from some evil something or other that's after her). by the end, the lupgang has neutralized the threat, and the baby can go back to the mom ^.^

so this is a combination of two "ideas" i had - one with a self-insert OC and one of inserting someone else into the story lmao im still on the fence between asking for forgiveness and asking for permission but we're gonna say our piece and see where we land afterwards…

if the person i took inspiration from is reading this and recognizes what im talking about no you dont LOL NO uh you can tell me to take it down or w/e if you think i'm over stepping lol;; ANYWAY NOW THAT THAT'S OUT OF THE WAY

so… i have two OCs… one is the girl of the week (GotW) - a librarian named minnie (short for minerva); the other is the villain - an agent of a secret evil world police (or maybe just CIA lmao) named mal (short for mallory). can you guess which is the self-insert lmaooo

i don't have the like actual plot figured out? like i don't know what the lupgang is after or why the librarian gets involved -- the only clear like scene? i had was the GotW has a van (a book mobile perhaps?) and she helped lupin escape zenigata by hiding him in the van and distracting zenigata with flattery and trash talking lupin lol i thought it was cute

as for the villain… idk i just had the thought (after being inspired by some art) what if zenigata, but worse? like she isn't above harming/maiming or even KILLING to get what she wants (him) IDK MAN its fucked up but i thought it was interesting… like when we meet her, we learn shes been watching lupin for a while , maybe not even a relatively long while but she became obsessed.. Maybe its in the name of the law that she pursues him but she wrestles with the internal struggle of wanting to control him, become him? Break him? I think ultimately destroy him so that she can have peace of mind once again… OH and i also wanted her to be a “Magnificent Bastard” [thanks trope talk!] bc its so fitting and i would love to see her lose her cool i just think that’d be neat…

I also wanted to explore themes of identity like i imagine mal like gets to lupin in the beginning bc he typically has the upper hand in every situation but with this woman, he doesn't? and it shakes him so we get to deal with what does it mean to be "lupin iii"? [basically i want to explore that moment in part V(?) where the bad guy reverse-uno-cards lupin's escape plan-literally explodes him-and he sleeps it off for two days but he's ultimately fine?? like bitch no wtf that was kinda a big deal??? at least i think it should've been]

and of course the secret weapon that lupin has that wins him the day is the power of friendship lmao idk if i should say cuz maybe its a spoiler? but also who cares 1. idk if im even actually going to write this and b. its not like everyone that reads that (if it exists) will see this and be "spoiled" ok so here goes: the real trump card that villain doesnt prepare for will be fujiko bc she expects fujiko to sell him out for one corn chip but surprise ! she doesn't lol so really this is a continued exploration of fujilup lmao cuz im a simple man

you thought i was done thinking about fujiko and lupin ??? haha you are sorely mistaken !! coming back at'cha with a headcanon so powerful and yet i've never seen anyone else say it (maybe they have, i just haven't seen it): aroace fujiko? or maybe demi fujiko? cuz like we've established "she's hot and she knows how to use it" but that doesn't necessarily mean that she likes it, ykwim? i really feel like she might see it as a job, but not one she's passionate about, ykwim?? so like yeah i was thinking about some internal thing, examining her feelings about sex and, frankly, how often she's assaulted but had to grin and bear it bc that's what being a woman of the time period meant… it comes back to lupin (cuz it always comes back to lupin) bc it's sorta a continuation of my previous study? like i didn't do any prelim research for my thesis but like i think the reason fujiko comes back to lupin even after everything… is because he makes her feel safe? which is rich coming from a man who is the perpetrator of the on-screen assault many times (played for laughs but still) ik but rn (w/o any deep dive yet) it's the best answer i could come up with? so yeah like i just wanted it to be a sweet thing about them getting intimate without actually doing anything explicit... like fujiko trusting him enough to not do anything harmful to her, yk? ig one might say it's a bit of a hurt/comfort thing going on ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ idk !! maybe !!!

lupin iii - fujiko study

i haven't been here in a minute but it's been in my drafts forever so i wanted to make this make sense to anyone other than myself? so that if someone else shows interest in this then i would be motivated to like work on it frfr?? idk that's been the idea so here we go again -- also ik it looks like i only play otome games but i have other interests, see??

fujiko is… an interesting character to me. because she seems simple: she's selfish and hot and knows how to get what she wants. but one element of her character that infinitely complicates her (at least to me) is her relationship to lupin… LIKE… WHY? i understand from like a meta perspective, lupin needs a girlfriend™ and so like it didn't start out that serious… and monkey punch has further described them as "just two people having fun together as a man and a woman" like fine. I get that. But also it's been 50 years so like obviously their relationship gets more complicated with every new iteration and AGAIN, IK from a META perspective that these characters are all hanging out because they have to. I guess what I'm interested in is from a character perspective, what the fuck is up with fujiko and lupin because my silly little writers brain that wants to know what these characters motivations are… so like the two elements of the exploration would be: why does lupin always give fujiko the benefit of the doubt even though she has ALWAYS, ALWAYS given him up for a quick buck? and two: why does fujiko betray lupin EVERY TIME, almost without fail… but still come back to him? because "she's hot"/"money" aren't good enough answers for me baybeeee

ok so like im thinking there are two ways to go about this: 1.) a character analysis essay type deal with evidence from various media (a huge undertaking) defining the nature of their relationship and 2.) a 5+1 fanfic, proabably "5 times fujiko mine betrayed lupinn iii (and the one time she didn't)" -- knowing me, i won't be able to do (2) until i do (1) lmao 🙃
