Final Piece Giffgaff animation
I was rather pleased with how this came out, I wanted to get their message across about helping the planet whilst also showing how easy it is to recycle using their steps and hopefully this appeals to multiple audiences.

Final Piece ‘Wielding the sword of creativity’
This is the piece I wanted to include on my website to show my passion for my illustrations and hopefully with it being in a different style it shows that I like to change and adapt. I took inspiration from Greek statues of soldiers holding their swords and decided to do a female soldier with a pencil as her weapon/sword.

Final Piece ‘Coraline’
For this piece I took inspiration from Quentin Tarantinos exaggeration of blood and gore with the combination of a Disney style. I felt a main part of the movie Coraline was the Button eyes and so I felt it was necessary to create a piece based on her pulling her buttons from her eyes.

Final Piece ‘Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows’
I took inspiration from Tim Burton and wanted to make the Harry Potter characters in his style and overall have it more gothic and dark. I included Hogwarts in the background and felt the font helped bring it more together.

Final Piece ‘Kill Hans’
For this piece I wanted to make Elsa into more of a Quentin Tarantino character using his Kill Bill poster as inspiration however for mine I wanted to have her in more of a ninja pose with her holding a snowflake ninja star instead of a Katana. I used blue as Elsa wears a blue dress so it seemed to fit her best. And instead of Bill I used Hans as he is one of the main bad guys in Frozen. I felt the excessive blood use also fits Tarantinos style.

Final Piece ‘Strangled’
For this one I wanted to turn a Disney princess story into a much darker fairytale, playing with the title aswell so that instead of Tangled it is Strangled as Rapunzal is being strangled by her own hair. For this I also took some inspiration from Guillermo Del Toro’s sketches due to their often dark and messy nature.

Final Piece ‘Joker’
Here I took a lot of inspiration from Carlos Grangel and Tim Burton using caricature to form his body and a pose that I felt suited him rather well with his evil smile. I chose the more well known colours of purple and green which the Joker is often seen in. I also included a sketch of a playing card behind him to say he is the Joker playing card.

Final Piece ‘The Fish Man’
I really loved creating this character due to how I feel his personality comes across just in the drawings similar to Abe Sapien from Hellboy. I also decided on the colours as they seem to bounce off of each other nicely also due to orange being a secondary colour opposite to the blueish primary colour.

Final Piece ‘Alien’
I really wanted to create a character that was quirky and rather weird also taking inspiration from the likes of Jabba the Hutt from Star Wars and the laughing Buddha.

Thinking of what to put onto my website, I came up with this ‘modern day angel’ design and I plan to do a small series relating to this. My favourites are the top black and white one and the first neon green one.

Adding blue and pink swirls similar to the ones GIFFGAFF uses in advertisements. I may make these lines thicker.

After thinking more about the Strangled poster I realised I needed to plan out my piece more and make it grab the audiences attention and so this time I decided to use Pascal’s tongue to strangle Rapunzel which made me able to do a close up and use a variety of different colours.

Enlarging Elsa to fill more of the page and moving the black stripe behind her to different positions to see what works best.
