Probably ooc but I don’t care

Starting with general if/when you turned hcs, and will gradually get into the main plot

Once he saw the signs of you turning into a monster he was extremely worried

He didn’t know if you’d be able to control it, like him, or if you’d turn fully into a monster like most of the people he’s seen before

And because he’s seen so many people turn and die painfully, he wants to make sure you don’t

Once he saw that you were able to control it, even at least a little bit, he was so relieved, and wanted to do everything he could to help you

He knows that since you’re a monster, (I’m not calling them special infectees fuck right off😭) you can’t really get hurt/die for the most part

But he still likes to keep you at a safe distance just to make sure his monster side doesn’t accidentally hurt you

(Not too far tho :3)

He always knew you were shy, so he knew that trying to teach you to control it would be a little bit difficult

That was, until you were in your monster form.

In your monster form, you were a lot more clingy towards him, which came as a stark contrast to your usual shy, closed off demeanour.

Not that he minds, he just finds it to be kind of a surprise

In his human form, he’s not scared of you accidentally hurting him or something as a monster

In his human form, he loves to let you cling to him

It reminds him that you’re still you despite the infection

This man can protect himself for sure. But let’s say you and him are doing whatever, maybe walking around, you’re both in human form and a (hostile) monster shows up.

His immediate thought is to protect you, because even though you can turn into a monster yourself, he forgets.

He goes to protect you, his monster side takes over (cause let’s say one of his desires is protecting you okay hear me out)

And then you, wanting to protect him, or show that you can defend yourself, or who know why , turn into your monster form and fend off the monster in some badass way

God damn. Maybe his human side is surprised but the monster side, if bro was out and saw that. You earned respect

The monster side of him has seen you before the transformation. All shy or whatever. He is also quite surprised when you turn and all of a sudden you’re all up on him

At first his monster side would probably push you away a little bit like “wtf is bro doing who are you”

Sometimes his monster side is a lil emo and has to be a lone wolf or something, but when you show up as a monster and follow him around and doing to him eventually he realizes you probably won’t stop until you turn back

His monster side pulls the whole “how pathetic and weak” thing when you cling to him, and you just go right ahead and let your monster self argue that

No matter how much you adore him as a monster, you can and will win a fight/argument against him

Maybe sometimes he lets you win. So what, a win is a win?

When your human side is out and you’re back to your shy self, both sides of him kind of miss your monster side

I don’t wanna say he’d distance himself, cause he definitely still wants to be close to you, but he would keep you at a safe distance.

He would however be really grateful that you still like him despite the monster side.

Okay so I’m gonna split this into two parts😈 if he liked eun-yu, or if he still liked reader

Just a warning idk if this is kind of ooc or what this is just some HEAD CANONS

Also not proofread and it is five in the morning.

First part

If he liked eun-yu, he wouldn’t really care that reader was avoiding him (in his monster form at least.)

In his human form he would be upset and maybe confused as to why you were avoiding him.

In his monster form, he’d leave you to do whatever you want. He probably wouldn’t do very much, especially if you left. But he would probably know that his human form still cares about you

If you’d left and he came back to his human form, he would be upset for sure, very much so if you guys were close friends

If you and eun-yu were friends, then maybe his monster form would try to keep you around for her sake, even if you wanted to avoid him.

Again if you were friends with eun-yu, human form hyun-su would want to make sure this wouldn’t change anything between you two. He wouldn’t want you guys to fight because of him.

He wouldn’t want you to be jealous.

Second part

Okay for this part there’s multiple hypotheticals

First off, let’s say hypothetically, he didn’t actually like Eun-yu, and his monster form only told eun-yu he likes her to get you to leave him alone for one reason or another

If human hyun-su found out, he would be so upset, especially after you started avoiding him.

He would try to tell you that it wasn’t true, and that it was only to protect you or something

He would want to be so honest.

For the second hypothetical, let there be a reminder that the monsters are based off of desire. Hyun-su did actually like eun-yu. He wanted to protect her.

So let’s say hypothetically he thinks he wants eun-yu, but he wants you for real (???? Idk what I was yapping about)

He would eventually have to come to terms with the fact he actually likes you.

Sorry if this sucks I haven’t written in many months I think I forgot how to

After months of waiting, you and Hunter had finally gotten to see one of your favourite bands live. (Whatever metal band you want). You’d both spent the afternoon getting ready, making sure you look good. With your cute outfits, accessories, hair done, and maybe corpse paint if you wanna go that far. That night you went to the concert, and you were lucky enough to be in the front.

The concert went on, you against the barricade, enjoying the show and maybe even singing along if you can. You knew Hunter was behind you but you didn’t want to miss a single second of the show. The only actual hint he was still there was his rough hands on either side of you on the rail, and occasionally you’d feel his chest against your back.

“Are you sure you're okay here?" Hunter yelled over the sound of the band playing, his body pushed right against yours, the pit behind them shoving him into you.

"I'm great!" You answered, shouting to be heard over the music and loud fans.

Doesn’t matter how long you’ve been together for, he still gets a bit embarrassed with lovey dovey stuff, but will do it anyway

He definitely has a mild fear of commitment. After his mom leaving (I’m so sorry💀) he STILL doesn’t trust that people won’t leave him

Hunter is attracted to confidence (not to be confused with arrogance) in a partner.

His standards for appearance are fairly low, however, he's looking more for personality than appearance.

Okay so you know how guys will “serenade” girls with their guitar and stuff,,, yeah. He doesn’t want to think of it as serenading, mostly just flexing his guitar skills on you

Everyone seems to forget that he’s CANONICALLY a mega virgin. He is not super flirty or anything. He’s probably never held hands with a girl.

You will probably have to be the one to initiate dates

Hunter Sylvester and you were once kindred spirits, enduring the rough path of middle school together. Your friendship was going perfect for a while, and he’d even started to gain feelings for you.

The long shadow of change began to appear as the first day of high school approached. Hunter, a sentimental guitarist with a heart full of unsaid things, started to notice changes in the shapes of your friendship. The smooth relationship you used to have was torn apart by new people, different schedules, different levels of popularity, and new environments. When high school came around, you started to get (somehow) more popular, and he felt as if he was left behind.

underneath it all, Hunter had more than just a quiet crush that had grown stronger with time. When life threw a curveball at him in sixth grade, your friendship came through for him. His mother had left abruptly, leaving a kind of void in him. You were one of the few constants in the midst of the chaos, providing comfort during the storm.

The strains of life’s melody transformed into a battlefield where your two bands were destined to be put against each other—a Battle of the Bands. As the band's frontman, Hunter struggled with the memory of a friendship that had endured heartache and the passage of time in addition to the need for victory. He would do anything to win the battle of the bands, and you both knew that.

On that crucial night, Hunter's nerves were crazy. His fists tightened, and like a melancholic tune, the recollections of sixth-grade hardships and your support reappeared. You tuned your instrument (or practiced your vocals), symbolically adjusting the common past that appeared through the bonds of your friendship.

The night goes on and the crowd seats and sings along with all the different songs that the different bands were playing. The judges had made their decision and everyone was waiting to hear who the number one champion. Or “metal lord” would be. (I’m so sorry💀)

Hunters band, Skullflower secured the place of runner up. A bittersweet taste after hearing that your band had been the winner. Amidst the cheers and applause, Hunter knew he had to come find you. He may have been a little upset, but ultimately he was extremely proud of you for winning. He’s always known you’d loved music, and you would constantly practice.

He found you in the band room in another hallway of the school. “Hey.” Is all he can manage to say. He says it quietly, but just loud enough for you to have heard it. You turn to him and look up to meet his eyes. “I’m glad you guys won, you really deserved it.” He says. He tries his best not to sound bitter or sarcastic, because he really means what he’s saying. You smile in return.

“Thanks Hunter. Honestly I feel like your band should’ve won. You guys were amazing” you say in response. He smiles the slightest bit back at you.

“I feel like you should know.. while it’s just us..” he starts to say, but doesn’t know how to finish it. His eyes reflect years of shared history, as well as love for you. He thinks you look absolutely beautiful tonight. As well as every day of course. “I really missed you. Being with you- I’m- hanging out with you I mean. We used to be so close I guess we just.. drifted when we got to this school you know? Your popularity just intimidated me a bit and I thought you would turn out like the other fake bitches at this school.”

“I missed hanging out with you too. We used to be so close and I just.. thought you didn’t want to be friends with me anymore when you stopped talking to me. Stopped calling me to talk about random things and texting me about your day. I thought you hated me” you respond.

“I thought I did too. But if I have to be honest, I was just scared. I just really liked you. Ever since middle school.. I mean- I still do, but I- I just- I don’t know. I thought that if I told you that you’d make fun of me and tell all your friends and stuff. I dont Care if you don’t feel the same, I just wanted to tell you.” He says. It sounds like he’s just saying whatever comes into his mind, without even thinking. “You just looked so beautiful on that stage and I just felt so proud when I found out your band won”

You’re not sure how to respond. “Hunter i… what..? Why..? I’ve never really seen you as the type of guy to have a crush on people. I thought you were too ‘metal’ for that” admittedly you’d caught him staring at you a fair bit of times. You’d had a hunch he felt something for you, but you couldn’t be sure because of his usual demeanour. “I really like you too, if I’m being honest. I always regret us drifting apart. I felt like you’d never like me back, but knowing what I know now.. it’s really.. I don’t know”

“So if that’s the case, want to go out with me? I have some tickets to a concert in town later this week”

And whatever you can imagine what happens from there
