A brand new arrival to the shop, the “Ruiz” model is inspired by a portrait of Pablo Picasso who’s middle name was Ruiz. Armoury co-founder Mark Cho consulted on the design during its early stages, “It is a lightweight raincoat that has an integrated bag which the coat can be folded and packed into, making it the perfect coat for Spring travel.” The Ruiz features large front buttons, side vents, a slim lapel and collar. Made in their high density stretch jersey fabric consisting of special polyester stretch yarn. It has the characteristics of a drill fabric but loos like kersey weave, making it flexible, breathable and water repellent. It’s available in tan and navy, in our shops and online now. I was able to do something cool today. I work for an apparel company as a CAD artist and we supply designs to multiple retailers, including one of the biggest corporations on the planet (we'll call is Shmal-shart). I was prompted by a designer to put the word "Femme" on one of the garments. As a queer, non-binary individual (who dates almost exclusively femme ladies), I'm familiar with your arguments and feelings. I know you feel invisible. So, I took the opportunity to stand up for my queer sisters and argued that using that term would be appropriating the culture of a section of the LGBTQ+ community. I was able to educate AND best of all, that design was dropped! Luckily they were receptive. So femmes of the world....I've got your back. I hear you. I SEE you. Your struggle is valid.

Happy Birthday to my sweet baby girl!! She is less needy than the fat boy, she's a whiner and a sprinter in the middle of the night, she doesn't like to be held, she'll be pet on her own terms, and she drinks water by sticking her paw in the bowl and then licking the drops off her dirty cat pads.....and I love her for all of it. Akela is 8 years old!
