EXACTLY my thoughts, very beautifully laid down. The notion of Plutarch manipulating Coin is such a good point– especially now, when we know it's basically his staple. It's how he does things. Similarly to keeping Drusilla in check with, that's right, flattery.

At any rate, Plutarch's story has to be so interesting (mayhaps even more than those of the other victors, should there be another book) because Snow was –very ironically– cradling a snake to his chest the whole time. And if we consider the movies a valid source, he was genuinely surprised at Plutarch's disappearance.

Nowhere near done finishing Sunrise on the Reaping (because my eyes get tired from crying), but itty bitty teeny tiny spoilers.

So, like I officially believe that Plutarch Heavensbee is one of the smartest, if not the smartest person in Panem.
