Neon bounced off of the puddles on the asphalt, the steady thrum of rain falling almost drowning out the cars as they zoomed by. Fumikage neatly sidestepped a puddle, glaring up at the bright, merry neon cowboy hung up above the bar’s entrance, tempted to flip it off as the neon made it wink over and over again.

Instead, he pushed open the doors with perhaps more gusto than he’d needed to, judging by the looks he garnered. But he ignored the stares, keeping his focus on one thing and one thing only.

He was there to play a gig.
