~The Birthday Wish (A ragbros one-shot)~
Hello everyone! This was a fic I wrote for Diluc’s birthday. I love how him and Kaeya’s relationship is mending in the game and it was the main inspiration behind this little fic. I hope you all enjoy!
~Satsu 💕🫧🐚
It was 5am but the young boy shot up out of bed full of energy. He was too excited and nervous to sleep. Today would be little Kaeya’s first time celebrating Diluc’s birthday since being adopted into the Ragnvindr household and he wanted to make sure he got everything right. His new dad and brother had been nicer to him than he thought he deserved so today was the day to show Diluc his appreciation!
Master Crepus and Adelinde had already helped him with decorating and wrapping the night before. Now there was just one thing left…the card. Kaeya sat at his tiny desk, colored pencil in hand staring at the blank sheet of paper. What does one write to their new brother on his birthday? Kaeya was a shy little boy and not very good with words so he decided to draw him a picture instead. With that, his little hand started scribbling away, his determination and focus apparent by the way his brows furrowed and his small tongue stuck slightly out of his mouth.
It was about 6:30am when Crepus woke up. He went to the kitchen to make sure all Kaeya’s handpicked decorations had stayed put through the night. On his way down he heard a small ruckus and saw a dim candle light coming from Kaeya’s room. When he peaked in, the sight warmed his heart. The little boy was surrounded by crayons and colored pencils. Little scraps of paper littered the floor and some stuck to his small hands dripping with glue. Crepus quietly shut the door and decided to let the Kaeya finish his work.
It was about 8am when everyone heard the small footsteps of the tiny redhead barreling down the stairs. When Diluc reached the bottom his father, brother, and the whole staff were waiting for him.
“Happy Birthday Diluc!” Diluc’s smile grew five times bigger.
“Wow!! Look at all the decorations!! Are those my presents? Is that my cake!?” Little Diluc drooled as he saw the stack of meat with scrambled eggs in the shape of a cake in the center of the dining table.
Crepus laughed. “That’s your breakfast cake Diluc. We’ll eat that now and you can open your presents later. Oh, and Kaeya picked out all your decorations.” Kaeya nodded shyly confirming what Crepus had said.
“Really?! Thank you Kaeya! It’s all my favorite colors too!!” Kaeya smiled, happy that his brother liked the decorations he had chosen. After all, it had taken him three hours to decide on the perfect ones.
The remainder of the day was filed with fun and laughter as the family and staff played all Diluc’s favorite games and went to all his favorite places. Just before the sun began to set, the staff made their way inside to begin preparing dinner. As Crepus was on his way in, he turned to his sons, “You boys better come in, it’ll be dark soon.” Diluc pouted
“Just five more minutes dad!”
“Fine just five more minutes, but that’s it.” Despite his faux sternness, the smile in Crepus’s voice was evident.
The two boys laid on the grass, chatting away under the clear blue sky. Well, Diluc did most of the talking but Kaeya enjoyed listening. After a while, the two little boys sat in comfortable silence, swinging their little feet as they stared at the pink-orange sky.
"That's kind of cool" Diluc said breaking the silence.
"What is?" asked Kaeya.
"That no matter where we are in Teyvat, we're always looking at the same sky! It's kinda like always being together, or a big friendship braclet we always have!"
"Oh yea, I guess your right...unless the sky is fake."
"HUH?! Kaeya, why would you say that?!" Kaeya began to laugh at his brother's reactions and soon Diluc was laughing with him.
"Boys! Time to come inside!" The two boys stood up at the sound of their father's voice and ran inside.
When they reached the dining room (and after they had wiped off their shoes and feet as instructed by Adelinde) it was finally time for the birthday dinner which meant one thing for Diluc, cake and presents! The dinner, of course consisted of lots of meat, Diluc's favorite. Once everyone was finished, Kaeya ran into the kitchen to help Adelinde bring out the cake.
"Wow! Is that all for me?!" Diluc stared with wide eyes at the five-tiered chocolate cake decorated with piped chocolate rosettas, strawberry tulips, and sprinkles shaped like birds and flowers.
"Of course it is dear Diluc" Adelinde said with a smile. Seeing the boys smile was truly the best part of her job.
"I helped decorate it!" Kaeya said louder than normal causing everyone to chuckle at the small boy's sudden enthusiasm. Crepus lit the six red candles on the cake and they all sang happy birthday to the little redhead who was wearning a large grin that showed his missing front tooth. The whole kitchen was filled with love and laughter as they cut the cake and watched as half of it ended up all over the three Ragnvindr boys.
Then it was finally time for presents. Diluc sat at the head of the table opening each present with sparkling eyes thanking everyone for their gifts. After all the gifts had been opened, Crepus noticed Kaeya had not yet given his project to Diluc.
"Kaeya?" The little boy turned at the sound of Crepus's gentle voice. "Don't you have one more thing for your brother?" Kaeya sharply inhaled and nodded. He quickly ran to his room to get it. As he walked down the stairs with his card in hand, he started to feel nervous butterflies. What if Diluc didn't like it? When he came back to the dining room, there was only Diluc, Crepus, and Adelinde who was cleaning some of the fallen decorations.
"Here. I made this for you." Kaeya handed his card to Diluc and nervously played with his ponytail. Diluc took the card, excitely pointing to the front.
"It's us!" Diluc admired the hand drawn picture of him and his brother on the front. Kaeya had cut small pieces of black ribbon and glued them where they typically held the boys ponytails in place. There were also hand drawn birds in the blue crayon sky as small sticker butterflies flapped in the gentle glitter wind. On the inside, doodles of Diluc's favorite foods, toys, animals, and plants surrounded a simple message, 'Hapy birthday to my bruther and best frend Diluc!' Diluc smiled as he read it out loud.
"I love it Kaeya!" He jumped out of his chair and tightly hugged his brother. Kaeya, joyfully surprised, hugged his brother back.
"You wanna know what my birthday wish was?!" Kaeya eagerly nodded in response.
"Diluc" Crepus turned to the little redhead, "What about the birthday rules? Aren't you supposed to keep your wish a secret so it comes true?" Diluc fervently shook his head.
"I can say this one cause I know that no matter what it'll come true." Diluc turned with sparkling eyes to face his brother. "I wished that we would always be best friends forever!" Keaya's eyes widened as he felt little drops of water begin to form. The little blue-haired boy soon burst into tears.
"What's worng Kaeya! Daddy, did I make Kaeya sad?" Diluc sadly looked up at his father. Crepus knelt down and gently pulled both his sons in for a hug.
"No no, of course not Diluc. Sometimes, someone feels so much joy in their heart they start crying because they don't know what to say." Diluc looked at his sniffling little brother.
"Is that why your crying Kaeya?" Kaeya hiccuped and fervently nodded in agreement. Then, with little red eyes and rosy cheeks, he looked up smiling at his brother.
"I love you Diluc!" At his brother's decleration, he smiled the biggest he had all day.
"I love you too Kaeya!"
-------------------------------------------
Diluc groaned as he got out of bed. It was 8am. He got ready and slowly walked down the stairs, the sound of his heavy footsteps against the wooden stairs echoing through the house. He had dismissed the staff for the day so when he reached the dining room it was cold and empty. Adelinde soon peaked her head out of the kitchen.
"Good morning Master Diluc." She handed him a plate of steak and scrambled eggs with a small flag on top. "Happy Birthday" she said with a smile. A small sense of deja vu washed over him as he looked at the plate.
"Thank you Adelinde."
The remainder of the day was filled with work and silence as Diluc filed paper after paper and reviewed document after document. Save for Adelinde (who was only there because she insisted on not having the day off), no one went to visit him. Given, he didn't expect anyone to. The staff was getting some much needed rest, there was no reason for customers he knew at the bar to visit him, Jean was on a mission for the Knights of Favonious, Barbara was working, and Klee didn't like him as much as his brother. His brother. Diluc and Kaeya didn't speak much these days. Diluc didn't speak much in general these days. This was only his second year back in Mondstadt and he was still adjusting.
When evening came Diluc decided to take a walk outside. It was a cloudy day and the sun was barely visable. As he looks up at the sky he feels soft drops of water fall against his cheeks as it slowly begins to drizzle. As he stands alone, he looks at the sky recalling how the weather that now looks so dreary to him once made him run outside with excitement so that he and his brother could play sea dragons. He catches himself, realizing he hasn't thought of his golden childhood in many years. Why now? Why today? He once again feels small drop of water cascade down his cheek, but it's not from the rain. He chuckles under his breath and wonder if Celestia is mocking him. He takes one last glance at the vast gray abyss above him before heading inside.
As he enters inside, he wipes off his boots. Adelinde smiles to herself as she notices he still carries the habit she instilled in him as a child. As Diluc sits down at the dining table, she can't help but remeber the energetic six year old boy with a missing tooth in his smile that once sat in the same place. She can't help but notice how the smiles of the two little boys she loved so dearly have now faded away (although Kaeya was known for his charming smile, she could tell that it often wasn't genuine).
After dinner, Diluc was about to head to his room when Adelinde stopped him.
"Master Diluc. Before you leave, someone sent this for you earlier, but I was instructed not to give it to you until after you'd had dinner." She put a covered silver platter before him. Curious, he takes off the top. His breath catches in his throat as he sees a small chocolate cupcake decorated with a single strawberry tulip and sprinkles in the shapes of flowers and birds. Just then, there's a knock at the door.
"I'll get it." Adelinde makes her way to the door. As she opens it, a tall soaked figure steps in the door. Diluc immediately stands up in alarm, but by the way the figure wipes his boots on the mat, he knows exactly who it is.
"Why are you here? Aren't the knights on a mission? As a captain you should be with them."
"Glad to see you too" Kaeya says in mock offense.
"And if you must know, I aksed for the day off yesterday. Besides, Jean and several other responsible leaders are with them, they'll be fine." The tension in the air grows as the two brothers stand there staring at each other in silence. Sensing this, Adelinde leaves the room to let them..talk.
"This place is colder then I remember" Kaeya says as he looks around.
"Seeing as you have a cryo vision the temperature shouldn't bother you."
"I didn't mean it that way" Diluc despondently looks around the house suddenly understanding what Kaeya meant as he can almost hear the echos of laughter bouncing off the walls from the celebration that took place in that very house twenty years ago today. Snapping out of it, he looks back at Kaeya.
"Why are you here?"
"I have something for you". Kaeya reached into his sachel. He hesitated as did, and for the smallest moment he reverted back to the shy, scared little boy wondering if his new brother would really accept him. He pulled out a piece of paper and handed it to his brother. Diluc's eyes widened as he looked at the card. It was almost exactly like the one he received all those years ago. There with pieces of black ribbon holding their hair, stood him and his stick figure brother under the blue crayon sky staring at handdrawn birds and sticker butterflys floating on the same glitter breeze. The main difference was that each brother now had a shiny rock with them to represent their visions (and Kaeys's stick figure also had an eye patch now). When he opened it he felt like a boy again as he saw the message surrounded by doodle of all his favorite things, but this time the message was different.
'Dear Diluc,
I'm sorry you're birthday wish didn't come true. I guess dad was right, maybe you should have kept the birthday rules. But I don't think anything that happened was your fault, no one does. I know it's your birthday, but let me make a wish for you this time. First, for your own sake, show yourself grace. No one is perfect (except maybe me) and no one deserves to be alone like you insist on being. Second, I would like to try and revive your wish from back then. I understand if you don't want to, but it doesn't hurt to try. I'll start. Hi Diluc, it's nice to meet you. I'm Kaeya, your new brother and maybe one day, your best friend.'
Diluc fought back tears as finished the card. Just then he remebered his father's words when Kaeya had burst into tears that day, "Sometimes, someone feels so much joy in their heart they start crying because they don't know what to say." For first time in what felt like forever, Diluc felt joy. It wasn't pure joy, for it was mixed with the sadness and anger he'd been bottling up for so many years, but it was joy all the same.
When he finally looked up, Kaeya was holding out his hand like a child waiting for a friendship forming handshake. Pushing away Kaeya's hand, Diluc finally pulled himself together and replied, "There's no need. My wish already came true." Now it was Kaeya's turn to hold back tears. After all those years of separation and angst, Diluc still considered him his brother and best friend? Overwhelmed by his emotions, Kaeya did something neither of them expected, he hugged him. After getting over his shock, Diluc hugged his brother back. Suddenly, the house felt warmer and the air felt ligher. For a moment it almost seemed like all three Ragnvindr's were sharing one last warm embrace. And though neither of them spoke, they could hear the voices of their younger selves echoing through the hall,
"I love you Diluc!"
"I love you too Kaeya!"

The Power of Memories 🎞️
✅️ Vetted by @gazavetters {537} ✅️
Hey everyone, my name is Abdelmajed, and I want to share a little bit of my journey with you.
I was born and raised in Gaza, a place I once called home. Life was simple but beautiful. I remember sitting with my family in the evenings, drinking tea and telling stories. I remember walking through the streets, greeting neighbors, feeling like I belonged. I remember celebrating birthdays, laughing over silly jokes, and dreaming about the future.
But in the blink of an eye, everything changed. My home is gone. My family is not whole anymore. My city is unrecognizable. 💔 The streets that once felt so safe are now filled with emptiness. The laughter has been replaced with silence.
And yet, I hold onto my memories. Because memories remind me of who I am, where I come from, and what truly matters. They remind me that love, family, and connection are stronger than destruction.
If you’re reading this, take a moment to appreciate the little things. Hug your family, tell someone you love them, appreciate the warmth of home. These small moments are what truly make life beautiful. 💙

Chara was never evil or a sans hater infact if you look at the way the Dreemurr siblings speak you’ll see that chara was likely really close to toriel which means they heard a shit ton of puns and was raised to never hurt anyone under any circumstances unless they were like an evil person with no hope of redemption
What I’m getting at is that chara had a good moral compass and at least a high tolerance for bad puns so they can’t be evil or a sans hater

Hey guys! Nader's family's fundraiser here was verified by Ahmed (90-ghost) over here. I would like to remind you that before reblogging fundraiser posts from Ghazzawiyeh, Ahmed would verify fundraisers in a similar fashion as we did (verifying Palestinian ID and current presence in Ghazzah). Here's where you can help:
Nader has been having trouble spreading his fundraiser so I would really appreciate it if you guys could reblog this post.

I am Nizar Al-Masri, a lawyer from Gaza Strip. I once had a home that was my refuge and shelter, and a law office that was my livelihood—years of hard work and dedication. But the occupation took everything from me. They destroyed my home, my office, my life, my future.
Today, my family of nine is homeless, sleeping in the open with no shelter, no blankets, no mattresses—exposed to the cold, hunger, and hardship. The greatest pain is for my sister, Zain, who has suffered from partial paralysis since birth and requires constant medical care and medication. But now, we can barely afford to survive—how can we provide for her treatment?
In the midst of this tragedy, I found a helping hand from abroad—my dear friend, Tess, who is supporting me in sharing my voice with the world, hoping someone will hear our plea and offer help.
I am calling out to you from the depths of my heart—please help us in this devastating situation so we can find shelter and provide my sister with the treatment she desperately needs.
Any support, no matter how small, can bring back a glimmer of hope.
You can help by donating through this link:

And if you cannot donate, please share this plea with those who can. Help save a family struggling to survive amid the ruins.

Urgent Appeal: Help My Family Before the New Year
My name is Ahmed, and I am asking for your help. My family – my parents, brothers, and sons – are in a desperate situation after our home was destroyed in an airstrike in Gaza. We are now sheltering in a flimsy tent, exposed to the cold and rain, with no food, clothing, or shelter to survive the coming days.
My sister-in-law is nine months pregnant and is severely malnourished and anemic. She is weak and vulnerable, and we have nothing to prepare for the baby due in a few days.
We urgently need to raise $15,000 by the beginning of the new year to provide us with the basics: food, warmth, and a safe place to stay.
Your support, no matter how small, can make a life-changing difference. Together, you can help my family and start the new year with hope and dignity.

Hello my friend, my name is Jaafar from North Gaza, I am 24 years old, and finally after waiting for a whole year of killing, displacement, hunger, massacres and genocide against us, the time for a ceasefire has come, thank God we are still alive after all the exhaustion, and during the next week we will return to our homes in North Gaza, which was completely destroyed, unfortunately our area was completely and brutally destroyed and we have nothing left, neither a home, nor property, nor furniture, nor clothes, nor any other clothes, I know that returning to the north will be very painful and difficult due to the lack of the necessities of life, and we will start building our lives from scratch, but we are happy for the war to end.

My son Ahmed is a heart patient and has holes in his heart. New tests were conducted on him, which showed that he was suffering from a problem with his eyes, and that there was damage to the nerves in his eyes as a result of his admission to the nursery and his exposure to oxygen. He needs urgent surgery, and unfortunately its costs are high and we do not have the money because of the Gaza war. We need your help by donating and sharing the post. I hope to save my child as soon as possible.

🌍✨ A Voice from Gaza: Fighting for Hope ❤️‍🩹
Hi, my name is Mosab , and I’m from Gaza. Life here has been harder than I could ever imagine, but today I’m sharing my story with hope in my heart, because your kindness has already given us so much strength.
This journey hasn’t been easy. The war has taken 25 family members from us—25 beautiful souls we loved deeply. Their laughter, their presence, their love… all of it is gone, leaving behind memories that are both precious and painful. Every day, I carry the weight of their loss, but I also carry their spirit, which gives me the strength to keep going.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Our Journey So Far When I first reached out, I couldn’t have imagined we’d make it this far. Your support has been a light in these difficult times, and we are so deeply grateful for every single contribution.
But the road ahead is still challenging. Every day, we’re reminded of how much we’ve lost and how much we still need to rebuild.
Here’s what life in Gaza looks like for my family right now: 🏠 Safety: The uncertainty of tomorrow weighs heavily on us. 😢 Loss: The absence of the 25 family members we’ve lost is a pain we carry every moment. 💔 Dreams on Hold: The future feels so far away when survival takes all our strength.
How You Can Help Us Cross the Finish Line Even the smallest act of kindness can make a difference:
$5 might not seem like much, but it could mean a meal, clean water, or a tiny bit of hope for my family.
Can’t donate? Reblog this post to help us reach someone who can. Every share matters more than you know.
Why Your Support Matters Your kindness isn’t just about helping us meet our goal—it’s about reminding us that we’re not alone in this fight. It’s about hope. It’s about survival. And it’s about giving my family a chance to rebuild our lives, even in the face of unimaginable loss.
Thank you for helping us get this far. Your generosity and compassion have already brought us closer to a better tomorrow, and for that, I’m endlessly grateful.
With all my love and gratitude, Mosab and Family ❤️
