life update lol

hello friends here’s a small to medium, lightly done life update that no one asked for but does explain my absence

first, i’ve been stuck doing exams for like THREE MONTHS (a nightmare!!) and i’m in my final exam period (it’s not looking good!) and i’ve been having to lock in (i’m not locked in) but i am also SOOO burnt out (because i’ve done nothing but study) so everything i actually WANT to do is being put off until it’s over. this is mainly why i haven’t done or uploaded anything (lol)

second, mermaid au fanfic has been beta read, but i need to actually edit it and stuff which i also haven’t gotten time for <\3

third, i’m opening a shop which will sell a (hopefully) high quality digital pdf version of the mermaid au for like probably $20 canadian (roughly $10 USD), but as mentioned in another post, i’m still redoing pages (there’s a lot to redo) and fixing things up so it’s worth the money

fourth, uhhhhh i’m probably gonna get drunk after my exams

fifth, i have an interview with the faculty’s internship program and yes i AM freaking out about that

sixth, think i sort of fell for another emotionally unavailable guy (fml)

hello everyone!! small life update, i am so busy and being tortured by school rn (pro tip do not take 3 labs two of them being 2 hours long in one semester) im still here but no new drawings for awhile, sorry!

mermaid au special ed update

i’ve started redoing inking and adding some new content and pages, but it’ll be awhile until it’s up for purchase

i’m also working on an alt ver mermaid au oneshot fanfiction for it but i need a beta reader since im not sure what’s happening to my current one

the general criteria is you must be fluent/or proficient in english writing, and preferably over the age of 18 (but 16 may be adequate). some things you may need to fix is my embarrassing grammar and putting things in active voice.

the fanfiction is basically a darker version of my comic (call it an Another Story ver or Flipside ver or Bad Ending ver if that makes sense) it’s warnings are graphic descriptions of violence, employee abuse/employee mistreatment, blood, major character death, dead dove sort of (cannibalism) but there is no non-con or sexual content

preferably the beta reader would be someone who is already familiar with my work and have read my comic + has a good grasp of characterization of alhaitham and kaveh. if you want to beta read and fit under these criteria; send me a dm! or comment and i’ll send you a dm!!

Give Me A Warning (Kaveh x Alhaitham)

a/n: this was inspired by @softsinnamonart art work of Kaveh being a vampire and feeding from Alhaitham so here it is! Go follow them too! Their art is amazing! Summary: "Give me a warning next time."

He was always self-conscious about others seeing him for what he truly was so he grabbed a nail file and started to file his fangs down.

"KAVEH!!"

With beads of sweat rolling down his face, he spun around to face whoever called his name. The silver-haired boy crossed his arms over his chest while leaning against the doorframe.

"Filing your teeth on feeding day?" he asked.

Kaveh could only stare. what would he possibly say to his roommate? If he said that it was because he was self-conscious, Alhaitham would make a comment he wouldn't like.

"Really?" He commented, "You'd rather starve?"

"Does it matter?" Kaveh retorted, "I'll just drink coffee or water."

Kaveh knew drinking coffee or water would satisfy him, but he said it anyway. He didn't want to hurt anyone, especially those he cared about.

"You're not starving to death under my roof," Alhaitham responded sternly, "Eat now because I'm not dealing with you later."

"Ugh," Kaveh murmured, rolled his eyes, and walked out of Alhaitham's study.

By 10 AM, Kaveh was starting to feel the effects of not feeding, but only to a minimal amount. Slightly sweating, his throat was beginning to feel dry. He noticed Alhaitham giving him a look from across the room.

"I'm not hungry," Kaveh reassured.

"Sure," Alhaitham said, his voice laced with sarcasm as he didn't believe what the older told him.

By 1 PM, Kaveh could feel his throat start to burn, and a dull ache in his gut. He chugged a glass of water to try and distract his mind but to no avail.

"Still not hungry?" Alhaitham questioned, tilting his head to the side, challenging the older to bite him.

Kaveh's eyes landed on the younger's neck, swallowing the excess saliva in his mouth. He could see the pulse in Alhaitham's neck, hearing the blood coursing through his body. Every fibre of his being wanted him to sink his fangs into the younger's neck.

"N-Not hungry...," Kaveh exhaled.

Alhaitham gave him a look that spoke volumes. He didn't believe Kaveh whatsoever but he let it slide. He wanted to see how long Kaveh could hold it out for.

By 5 PM, Kaveh's body was slick with sweat. His throat was burning and he felt that burning all the way down to his stomach. He exhaled shakily as he tried to focus on creating another architectural design for a client. He held a shaky hand to his mouth as he sensed a presence behind him.

"Not hungry?" Alhaitham whispered into the older's ear.

Kaveh bit down into his fingers to stop himself from turning around and tackling the other to the ground. Blood trickled from his fingers, but he kept it hidden. A bit of his own blood would suffice for now.

"Still no," Kaveh sighed.

By 8 PM, Kaveh had enough. He had to feed now, otherwise, he'd ask for trouble. His body trembled, throat burning like it was on fire while paired with the parchedness of the desert. His stomach was aching immensely, cramping. With a pale face, Kaveh furrowed his eyebrows as his stomach finally growled.

That's it.

Kaveh found Alhaitham in his study and slammed him against the wall by his shoulders. The younger took the force of it, staying calm.

"I'm starving...," Kaveh drawled.

"I haven't even had my—"

SNAP!

"Shit...," Alhaitham mumbled through gritted teeth.

Kaveh started gulping down as blood flooded his mouth. He didn't care whether Alhaitham's blood was bitter or sweet; he would feed. He involuntarily let out a grunt as the blood washed away the dry burning sensation.

Alhaitham covered his mouth, his cheeks flushing. He was glad that Kaveh was too distracted to notice. He found it a bit irritating too, inhaling and exhaling deeply so he didn't tense up.

No warning at all!!

Kaveh pulled away and his eyes widened at what he had done. That was the last thing he wanted to do. He quickly walked off, not bothering to clean Alhaitham's neck like this time.

The younger stood there, his face still red from what just occurred. Blood was trickling down his chest and his back. The bite was stinging, skin red with irritation. He winced as he tried to move his neck, clamping his hand down onto his shoulder.

"Tch," He puffed, furrowing his eyebrows, "Warn me next time."

kavetham mermaid au update?!?!

yes folks you heard it

despite the low interest i’m going to do it anyway cause some money is better than none.

i’m making a special paid edition of the mermaid au

im currently working to redraw and redo some of the earlier scenes and pages of the mermaid au, basically fixing up my wonky year old drawings, which will be apart of the paid version i will put on my website (not yet launched)

the paid version will have:

-improved drawings (better quality)

-no watermark (you paid for it afterall)

-bonus scenes + extra scenes

-scrapped sketches (parts of the story that didn’t make the cut) and sketches i made along with the au for fun that have not been released

-scrapped dialogue

the doujin/comic will be all one PDF file

this is cause i can’t afford printing (deadass canadian economy is so bad and going to school is so expensive)
