I just can’t stop thinking about Jason and Tim as Ed and Al from fullmetal alchemist

LIKE YES the ages would be kind of skewed but Tim as the alchemic prodigy and don’t even tell me that Jason as Robin isn’t slightly similar to Al like come on

It could fit

I could be high, but it could work

Tim becoming the youngest state alchemist in order to fix the mistake he made???? Jason having existential crises over the fact he’s not what he used to be??? The little boy he was won’t mesh with what he’s become in his own head which is causing issue after issue?????

Tim lashing out at anything CLOSE to an authority figure??? Being crazy smart and ridiculously arrogant on top of that?? Having a guilt complex the size of fucking Mount Everest?? Putting family above all else??? STILL being a child soldier????

I have absolutely NO idea how the rest of the batfam could fit into this except maybe Bruce as Roy Mustang??? And that’s it I hope people find this and feel inspired

Sometimes I think about a fic I read where Dick yelled at Jason about insulting the Robin mantle and he told him that Robin has always meant family to Dick

Damian was there to witness the argument

hes 18 in this, got a lance promo out of basic for his leadership skills and commitment. he enlisted at 16 and had been in cadets as soon as they let him, he always wanted to be in the military and had ran the ranks there quick too because he wasn’t good at anything else.

he was born in glasgow but put into fostercare in england (newcastle specifically) because thats where his maternal grandparents were from and it was done under the guise of “reuniting with his biological family” although his behavioural issues got him in a “temporary home placement” when he was 9 until he aged out.

Pulled an all nighter so now I’m more comfortable about getting pressed on the internet and the FIRST thing I’m going to do is I’m going to talk abt hunter x Hunter

Komugi’s age

This is more of a pet peeve than anything else

But because she has no canon age everything thinks she’s super young but she just

She literally tells Meruem that she created a gungi move 10 years ago

I’ll be generous and assume she’s some kind of child prodigy and then immediately after gaining consciousness at about year 2 age (six or seven)

She IMMEDIATELY discovered Gungi

And mastered it within a year

To have them made a move which she used in a competition so I’ll add another year

So she’s around 9

And then add the decade on top of that

She is at LEAST 19

So can we stop

Gon

Specifically his actions in the chimera ant arc

I’d like to preface this by saying I am fully biased because I love him as a character BUT I’m not blind nor am I an idiot I completely understand that some of his actions went too far

Namely threatening komugi

Using extreme violence on Pitou

Being dismissive of Killua

But can we please take a moment to remember that he is also a 12/13 year old boy who is going through traumatic shit

Also people always seem to take Gon’s comment to Killua

‘You have it easy’

As something he’s saying in general, about Killua’s life.

For me, this can’t be right

Gon has always known what Killua’s life was like, he saw what Killua’s family did to him during the Zoldyck Family arc

I think the comment is more contextualised later when Gon confronts Pitou and is informed of Kite’s death

He says a lot of things while he’s breaking down but most importantly he says ‘I killed him.’ Other than Pitou he is the one who shoulders the blame for Kite’s death. And I feel that even when he blames them, Pitou is a scapegoat for his own actions.

Gon blames himself for Kite’s death.

‘You have it easy, Killua’

He says this because he believes, in that situation, Killua is free of blame

He did nothing wrong

Gon is the one who froze up and then tried to attack even when Kite told them to run

He was the one who wasn’t strong enough

When given the choice, Killua chose to save Gon. Gon would’ve done the exact same thing. So Killua wasn’t the one who killed Kite, he was the one who saved Gon.

‘You have it easy’

‘You didn’t kill Kite.’

He’s a kid and he’s fully convinced that he has just killed someone, his father’s close friend.

I feel like people who hate Gon purely because of his actions in the chimera ant arc and for what he says to Killua are putting too much hope in the emotional intelligence of a boy
