Bowling With Gromit

I made a Feathers McGraw in a bottle for fun (and because I loved Vengeance Most Fowl). My Dad said he looked like a bowling pin and I should make a set. When I showed my brother he asked where the glove was, so that's why the first pin is chicken and also why the bowling ball is a turnip that was his idea too. Anyway I thought who else would want to bowl a bunch of Feathers down more then Gromit? So please enjoy my silly attempt at stop motion ;{]

Question

I have been experimenting with human characters for my clay sculptures. And I thought I'd put out a poll to see if anybody would like to see these for sale in my Etsy store. Maybe in character series of four?

Like as an example here is a loosely linked group of Star Wars characters, Ezra, Sabine, Numa, and Omega.

Ooooookay, fine!

Mini Moose wanted me to update you all to his new “drip” look.

*drip? what does that even mean mini moose? It’s Slang? Now you’re just making up words. Huh, what do you mean computer is still auto typing! GET IT TO STOP!!!*

And after the escalating elephants, Mini Moose couldn’t decide between the two pizza stickers so we just took both.

I think it’s from when I was testing markers while watching that awesome Shadow backstory fan project on YouTube.

A note on Sonic Prime

This is not going to be a total ripping, I didn’t hate it, it’s a fun self contained series, but I was sad it ended so predictably.

And what I mean by that is, !Warning Spoilers! Having the multiverse stay in tact is so overused now. Having a multiverse can be a fun plot, but honestly I’m getting sick of it.

Since the multiverse was tied to the prism I thought it would have been interesting if Sonic and Shadow HAD to recombine everyone as well to make it one whole universe again. Like the shards in the inbetween were chafing and crushing each other so maybe the separate worlds were unstable, all missing elements needed from the other worlds. In the same vein the separate characters are all also unstable, not whole people but exaggerated faucets of one character’s personality. Anyway here is a scene I wrote before the 2nd season had aired how I thought things could play out. (P.S. Nine totally still could have done a big betrayal before this, I liked that)

Gonna start with the fact that I don't do shipping.

I'm not much of a romantic and think it's just punishing yourself if you ship non-cannon in a fandom. Plus the fanart/fics can get real freaky real fast sometimes.

No, thank you.

Yet for some reason Sonic franchise is different. I'm new, and have been watching/reading old and new cartoons/comics getting the tone of different relationships. And man, I really do prefer Sonic/Sally's dynamic over Sonic/Amy. Like Sally can verbally spar with Sonic and he tries to get her more than she pursues him half the time. Even with Amy's personality shifts through the years to be an independent protagonist, he still doesn't always take her seriously. Their running gag seems to be Amy tries and Sonic hides. He's always disappointing her. And it’s not as charming as the secret crush trope, because it’s not a secret so it just gets awkward.

Anyway what I'm leading up to is I love the recent cannon from the Twitter Takeovers and I really am becoming convinced of the Amy Rose/Shadow pairing.

I suppose it started with the game The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog. Where not only does Shadow show up, but in costume! You know he wouldn't do that for anyone else (besides Maria) and he tries really hard to get her a thoughtful birthday present.

Then it's revealed he goes to concerts with her, he enjoys her enthusiasm! He will even go shopping with Amy. He said he doesn’t go shopping. And let's be honest if anybody needs the bright ray of sunshine that is Amy Rose in their life it's Shadow.

So yeah that's my one ship I'll back up.

Super Random Silly Thought of the Day

Okay, so has anybody else read the Strangeville School series by Darcy Miller? Because in the second book the kids find a pirate in the basement described as looking exactly like Al Yankovic. And I thought wouldn’t it be funny if the books were made into a movie/series, and you cast Al in it. But not as the pirate. No, He would be the principal and nobody says anything about it. The pirate would be played by Daniel Radcliffe, and the kids would make the comment he looks like Al Yankovic. It just feels like something they would do. Plus for extra fun Elijah Wood could be a teacher in the school too. Just something that makes me laugh to think about.

I LOVED Sonic 3, buuut

I wish they had explained more of Maria’s story in the film. Like I cried pretty much every time they showed her and Shadow bonding. That was beautiful. But they never explained why Gerald and G.U.N. were having the custody battle over Shadow. That even if she hadn’t died by the accident taking Shadow from them would have at least in Gerald’s mind sealed Maria to death since Shadow was their hope for curing her. It’s a little odd cause without the context Gerald running away with them is strange since aren’t they already all in a G.U.N. facilities? So instead of G.U.N. taking possession of Shadow it’s a different sect of G.U.N. trying to do so? It would also explain why Gerald was so attached to Maria, even to the point of forsaking the rest of his family. Spending so much time teaching her, trying to heal her, and living with her, she really became Gerald’s whole world.

And the movie makes her death an accidental casualty instead of her sacrifice to keep Shadow from becoming just a weapon, again even if she hadn’t been shot he was her hope for a cure, and she was letting him go. Choosing his life over her’s, or maybe that’s why it was so easy for her to do so, having lived so long with death just at the corners of her vision she wasn’t scared of it anymore, and found strength knowing Shadow could live on freely. So it also takes the extra sting of Shadow loosing his whole purpose for existing like the quote from My Sister’s Keeper “See, unlike the rest of the free world, I didn't get here by accident. And if your parents have you for a reason, then that reason better exist. Because once it's gone, so are you.” Making it much easier for Shadow to want to watch the world burn.

I swear this painting looks better in person, but photographing it was really hard and I gave up.
