In chapter 4, where Susie begins to realise that she has the power to determine her own future, she literally shatters the ending of the prophecy itself. And with the blood drawn by her determination she holds Ralsei's cheek as she tells him not to cry for her fate.

Deltarune has given us a lot of striking images, but Susie touching Ralsei's face in a gesture of forgiveness and leaving a bloody handprint on his cheek because she punched a stained-glass window might just take the cake in terms of getting thematically freaky with it.

hey gang please remember that CG designs are still designed by real artists. like. yeah the 70s designs are really cool and i understand preferring them, especially due to the creativity that resulted from budget limitations. but at the same time. the CGI isn’t soulless slop, it’s just a different art form and I don't wanna see doctor who fans be disrespectful to anyone who worked hard on it, no matter how shite the episode was

but yeah it would’ve been nice if the return of omega had... any story... like at all....

been thinking a lot about why i, an aromantic, am usually really annoyed about the overwhelming prevalence of romance in fiction, yet *sometimes* i can become really invested in the romance—and why it’s usually queer romance that i get invested in.

I think it’s because romance plots are supposed to make a character *relatable*. Make the audience relate to your character and they’ll care about the rest of their story. This formula completely fails when you don’t care about romance: there’s no longer a hook to get you invested, so the entire story becomes boring. which sums up why I struggle to get into so many books and films.

But queer romance different. Unfortunately, most writers don’t want to use the same formula because they believe that queerness can’t be relatable. The good news for me is that they have to actually write a hook to get the audience interested in the character. Then we become interested in their romance: a reversal of the formula that’s coincidentally exactly what I need to actually enjoy a romance plot.

The weirdest guy I ever met in a church was this boy who referred to “Buzz Aldrin and his husband” going to the moon. I was completely baffled, and when I asked if he’d misspoken, he got really angry and accused me of being deliberately ignorant of the facts. It turned out that he was somehow comvinced that Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong were married. It took five Wikipedia articles to convince him otherwise.

thanks for clarifying that Disney are not actually making doctor who, I probably shoulda said that because a lot of people are getting this wrong

but to be clear, when I blame Disney for Ncuti Gatwa's short run, I am specifically referring to the short season lengths (due to Disney commissioning 8-episode seasons) as well as how Disney delayed the renewal of season 3, which presumably led to his departure.

So I am still perfectly willing to blame Disney
