Killer Instincts || Salvatore Brothers x Sister

“Y/N only wanted to help catch Kol Mikaelson and prove her worth to the towns resident Scooby Doo Gang. Her brothers had other plans.”

“I mean ‘no’ as in ‘no, you cannot and will not be used as bait to lure Kol Mikaelson into a trap’!” Damon replies as though it was the most obvious thing in the world. “As your brothers we are obligated to protect you and make sure you don’t do anything stupid. And this is a stupid idea!”

“Have you forgotten that I am a vampire too!” She exclaimed, furious at her brother’s attempts to stop her from helping. “This is the perfect plan and you know it!”

Stefan Salvatore watched the scene play out from his place next to the fire place. The idea of letting his little sister (not to mention one that he had only just gotten back) was definitely not appealing. However, she had a point.

“She’s right, Damon.” Stefan voices, stepping away from the fire place.

“Thank you,” Y/N replies, lifting her arms in relief and emphasis, “at least someone in this family isn’t selfish.”

“Really, Brother? Now is the time you want to open your mouth? Saint Stefan, always wanting to do the right things.” Damon rolls his eyes that show nothing but irritation at the situation, he thought that at least Stefan would back up his argument. “Don’t you want to save save our dear sister from her dumb ideas that will only get her hurt? Or would you rather throw her to the wolves. And in this case the wolf just so happens to be a Mikaelson!”

“Damon do not be daft! You know Kol has taken a liking towards me ever since he has been undaggared. This is our chance to get rid of a Mikaelson, and you know it’s a good idea.” Desperation laces Y/N’s voice as she tries to reason with her brothers, knowing that every word she speaks is the truth. I need you both, as my brothers, to trust me on this. Please.”

Both brothers turn towards one another as the youngest vampire in the room watches them in desperation. Stefan knows that Y/N is right, god she always is, but it goes against everything in him to agree to this, but Saint Stefan will always choose what is right for everyone else. Damon however is slightly more selfish. He can see the resolve and conflict in his brothers eyes, the reflection of the fireplace doing nothing to mask the emotion from the elder brother. The blue eyed brother inevitably knows that Y/N is right and that he has no reason to doubt her ability. But goddammit he just can’t let his sister go through with this.

“The answer is no. And that is final.” Damon waves his finger in front of his younger siblings as a way to shut down their responses. As your older brother I have the right to make this decision, and well, I just made it.”

Y/n glares her brother down, because, how dare he think that he has any right to make decisions for her. She was no longer a little girl, and god, was she about to show him. 

“How dare you think that you have the right to control me.” The H/C vampire seethes at her brother, finally becoming undone by this outdated conversation between her brothers and herself. “How dare you both think that I was asking for your approval. I was telling you that I will distract Kol Mikaelson and that I will be apart of this plan, whether or not either of you like it. Because even if I have no care for Elena Gilbert in the slightest, I will not let my brothers go after a Mikaelson without me. Because we are family, and my love for you both will always outweigh the dislikes of a petty little girl.”

Stefan and Damon both look shocked at their sisters rant as the said girl glares at both of her brothers before taking off towards the front door. However, she never makes it.

Damon is in front of her in an instance, his eyes full of an unusual emotion for the blue eyed vampire. An emotion that is rather seen directed at anyone else other than Stefan or Y/N, love and compassion. Stefan is soon next to him, his fast speed moving the H/C’s hair and causing her to look from one older brother to another.

“We trust you, Y/N,” Stefan starts, a hand coming to rest on her shoulder, “but you see, we’ve got these kind of instincts that only brothers have for their sisters. We need to protect you, we have to. No matter what.” His words are laced with nothing but truth and love as he stares into his sisters eyes.

“I like to call these my killer instincts, not the ones that make me kill someone, but the ones that make me kill someone if they put a finger on either you or Stefan.” Damon continues, his voice only holding compassion, “these instincts are a bond that Stefan and I share over you, hence why he is letting me do this.”

“Do wha-.” Y/N had been so distracted by the surprisingly heartfelt speech her brothers had made to her, that she didn’t realise it had been a distraction, a ploy to get her guard down. And boy did it work.

Her body hit the ground, her neck twisted and face etched into a look of utter surprise.

“Shes going to hate us.” Stefan spoke up, eyes never leaving his sisters unmoving body as regret starts to gnaw as him. “She won’t forgive us easily.”

“Its worth it as long as she is safe.” Damon pats his brothers shoulder, “But lets get her in the cellar before she wakes up, I’d rather deal with the Devil Mikaelson before this one.”

Left behind

Ok so am I the only one who wants a story where Owen Grady’s daughter got left behind on the island in the first movie? But survives and Owen finally sees her again or something? Like a story where she learns to survive with nothing and ends up following Blue around and Blue being really irritated with her but doesn’t hurt her because of Owen. But eventually Blue starts to see her as part of the pack and trusts her? I don’t know, it just seems like it could be really fun and quirk :)
