Resources for LGBTQ+ Muslims
A few days ago, I came across a document I had created nearly a year ago when I was first beginning to seriously consider that I could be bisexual. In the document were a myriad of links and resources I had found that discussed being queerness and Muslim. I thought that these links and resources, which had taken me last year a while to compile, could inshAllah help any other Muslims who identify as queer, are questioning or are struggling to reconcile their certain parts of their identity together. Some of these resources provide explicit reconciliation for queer Muslims, while others thoroughly explore several views of LGBTQ+ within Islam and the Muslim community, including views that are disagreeing, homophobic and/or hostile. InshAllah, I will add more as I find more. While I tried to look into these resources thoroughly, some of the longer ones were skimmed through at some parts. Anyone is welcomed to add more, and please, let me know if there are any problems found in this post and/or the resources listed below.
TW // Several of these resources either briefly mention or discuss sexual violence, homophobia, transphobia, problematic age gaps, Islamophobia, assault, hate crimes, discrimination against the LGBTQ+ community, questionable/ambiguous age gaps and unbalanced power dynamics.

MANIFESTATION TIP: use your creative strengths to manifest! this is a big one - if you’re musically talented, compose a song about what you want to manıfest, if you’re good at drawing or painting, paint about it, if you like literature or writing, then write a short story or poem about it!
This is a successful method because it allows you to charge your creation with intent and energy as you work on your project which will work like a charm! GOOD LUCK

manifestation tip: manifesting is kind of like playing a video game, it happens in levels. if you’re manifesting from level one, you’re not going to magically jump to level 50. want to manifest your future spouse? start by manifesting a date. trying to make a six figure income? start by manifesting your first five figure month. start small, move through each level, and then you’ll win the game! ✨ ✨

Why add a K to magic ?
Adding a k to “magic,” is widely credited to Aleister Crowley. Bottom line is magic has culturally been associated to entertainment and slight of hand. Magick is used to differentiate entertainment from what Pagans and witches call real magick. Do you have to use the “magick” spelling? No. However, when doing research you will find it easier to find what your looking for when you use the k. Otherwise you may run into a lot of D&D and WOW stuffs

types of magick
Black Magick: anything done to harm or manipulate another person or to interfere with his or her free will is black magick.
White Magick: white magick’s purpose is to further spiritual growth, by strengthening your connection with the Divine realm and/or gaining wisdom from a higher source.
Gray Magick: everything else.
Natural Magick:
probably the most common form of magick. Any magick that deals with the forces of nature falls under that category. Natural magick incorporates all fours elements (Earth, Air, Water and Fire) but also Sea, Weather, Crystals, and much more. Natural magick is also called folk magick or low magick because it does not require a lot of preparation and tools to perform. You can practice it anywhere, intuitively, using what you have on hand. Casting a sacred circle isn’t even necessary! It’s been practiced since the dawn of time by shamans, healers, medicine women, druids, and other traditional witches around the world. Potions, talismans and amulets are typical examples of natural magick (but you are not limited to these of course!)
planetary magick:
Planetary magick draws its energy from heavenly bodies such as the Sun, the Moon, and all planets of our solar system. This kind of magick is based from the age-old tradition of astrology. Lunar and solar magick also falls under this category. In their simplest form, Full Moon rituals are a mix of natural and planetary magick. To perform planetary magick, you need a good knowledge of astrology and astronomy. This kind of magick requires more planning than natural magick because you have to carefully select the perfect time and material corresponding to your goal and to the planet that you will work with.
Chaos Magick
In Chaos magick, you draw your energy from your own psyche. To charge their spells, chaos magick practitioners need to be in a gnosis, or altered state of consciousness. This state can be attained in various ways such as meditation, dance, intense physical effort and even sexual intercourse. It’s only when you’ve reached this specific mental state that you can charge your spell with your own energy. It’s as if you were programming the Universe AND your own subconscious at the same time. For this reason, chaos magick doesn’t require a lot of preparation or theorical knowledge. If you know how to attain gnosis, you can practice it anywhere, using what you’ve got on hand. You don’t need to cast a sacred circle either. Of course, the most popular form of chaos magick is sigil crafting. However, there are many other ways to practice chaos magick such as the cut-up technique, linking sigils, and servitors. Since there are no rules in chaos magick, be creative and feel free to experiment. Keep in mind that anything that uses symbols can be used as a support for chaos magick, even tarot cards (I wrote a post about it, read it here). However, be very careful what you wish for! Chaos magick is very neutral and unfiltered, so you might be surprised by the results of your spells.
Ceremonial Magick
Ceremonial magick is also called High Magic by some. It is an ancient form of magick that uses complicated sets of rules, rituals, symbols and tools. Its probably the most “occult” form of magick. The magick from all initiatic orders falls under this category (such as the Institute of Hermetic Studies, the Society of the Inner Light, O.T.O., Rosicrucians, Templars, Golden Dawn, Freemasonry, etc). Besides, you need to be initiated by a member in order to practice it. Here, the energy source is the egregor of each specific tradition. Since a lot of these traditions are highly philosophical, their spells and rituals need a lot of prior knowledge and planning. Since I’m not a member of any initiatic order, I don’t know much about it. All I know is that a lot of ceremonial magick is based on the Kabballah and alchemy.
Summoning Magick
Summoning magick draws its energy from entities of other planes of consciousness such as Gods, Goddesses, Ancestors, Faeries, Spirit animals, Demons and Angels. Therefore, this category incorporates all rituals and spells requiring the summoning of an entity. Here, the practitioner does not act on his own. Instead, spells and rituals are performed in the name of the entity that has been summoned. This form of magick is practiced in all devotional magickal traditions such as Wicca and other neopagan religions. You don’t need to be religious for it to work but you really need to believe in the entities that you are working with. Summoning magick requires knowledge, planning and dedication in the long run. If you want results, don’t expect them to come right away. If you want an higher being to grant your wishes, first you need to create a relationship with them and it takes time. Besides, you can never be sure about how it will go since they must accept you. You don’t get to choose your Patron God or Goddess, Spirit Guide or Ancestor: they chose you. Working with a spiritual guide of any kind is the most powerful form of summoning magick.
