I'm a little obsessed with your Doofenshmirtz Reader, but can't really add much cohesive thoughts on it.

I know you said that Doof is the oldest. But, I'm imagining that Bruce was 16 when they were conceived, since he runs off to go train and wanted an heir in Gotham. Which makes them Dick's age, if maybe a month or so older. Seeing as Dick is 9 years old when Bruce is 26. Which means that, while Dick is getting kicked out the manor and fired from Robin and Jason is becoming the new Robin, Reader is organizing their escape/marriage.

What if they come back at a few points to get their things? Moving Inators is very labor intensive and they don't want the Bat Family to realize. Maybe Tim is the only one that knows Bruce's oldest biological child makes inventions but doesn't know much about them?

Anyways, one of Doof's first back stories is how his parents didn't show up to his own birth. Bruce is understandable, he wasn't even in the county and he only had Doof to have an heir. He didn't want to be in the kid's life from the get-go. He thought he had time to become Batman and that kids are just supposed to live their parents, even if they aren't around. The mother dipped out right after giving birth, while a premature Doof was dragged away before ever being held by their mother. By the time the doctors stabilized Doof and tried to let the mother know, she'd already left.

But, interestingly, the second part of that same story was that Doof was always alone.

So Doof threw their own 5th birthday party. They had heard of such parties before, seen their favorite Chuck'e'Cheese rip off filled with kids, and thought this was perfect. It was some of the only times Doof wasn't surrounded by empty space -even if they were still alone in a room full of other children. They had hoped that throwing a birthday party would have other kids play with them. But the staff and parents heard that it was the Wayne heir throwing the party, at a single table, and didn't want to risk their kids behaving improperly and getting on the rich kid's bad side. They only had one employee doing that day to dress up as the mascot and give the custom cake, having thought the Wayne would order catering. The employee got surprised that their was only one kid left, didn't know Doof was the Wayne they were supposed to be entertaining, and throws them the keys, telling them to lock up after turning off the lights. After all, the kid wasn't wearing expensive clothes and didn't have that black hair and blue eyes. Probably just a street rat that thought they could take advantage of the party to get extra food.

Doof goes home with left over fruit cake. They go down to the bat cave to try to give a slice to their father. Only to get flocked by a bunch of the bats. None but Doof. But they scratched him up in their attempt to get the cake, which had splattered all across their front from the bats excitement. Which means, Doof probably gets the same fear of bats that his father had, for a time at least.

Just yes. Yes to all of this

Youve added more cohesiveness than I did

Mostly because i knew the timeline and ages were gonna be fucked if i wanted doof to be the eldest and be abandoned as soon as bruce went on his traning arc so i didnt bother to think too hard on it

Real doof is like the poster child for a neglected reader story

He checks all the stereotypes of a average neglected reader story its almost comical to the point i can make this to a satire of the very thing

Cuz cmon if you cant laugh at the fact our X neglected reader stories are absolutely ridiculous even with how depressing some are

Than you are simply in too deep and should probably touch some grass

I have shed my fair share of tears while reading some but sometimes after awhile i think back on a story and chuckle at how this silly thing got me emotional

Anyway ignoring my rant about the small batfam x reader fandom

yes doof!reader is gonna get more depressing backstories and this one is now canon to my little world

Alfred ofc tries to help but maybe Reader denies it or alfred is always inconveniently busy so reader has to throw their birthdays themselves

Also that bit on how they got a fear of bats is just *chef’s kiss*

Kinda wanna incorporate That one backstory where Doof was disowned for a moment and raised by ocelots but dont know how im going yo make that happen

THERES A LOT of doof backstories ill have to fankenstine so many events to even make them make sense in a batfam world

Which is why this thing is up for takes and any ask can be considered our canon in this universe

The real Doof has a hard time fitting in even in his own version of it

But at the same time he doesn't want you near any of them

Lets say reader had a minor in psychology and met Harley thru a shared class

At first they were only paired for a project but bonded

Now hear me out this is a really big IF and also depends if someone wants to change this if they decide to take up the idea and actually write a series

Two options here

-Harley and reader are just besties that occasionally met up every once in a while until Harley went koo koo crazy cuz of joker and forgot about reader due to her mental brake

It becomes one of Doof!readers backstories about abandonment until they come across each other and Harley explains her whole situation and they become besties again

NOW this one is the big hear me out

-Harleen becomes our Charlene Doofenshmirtz of this world

Reader wanted to speedrun life and get that family GOING so once they bonded with someone they put the plan to WORK

They start dating a couple of weeks after meeting, once they graduate they get married and later get Vanessa

Harley gets the job at Arkham and yk what happens

Another sad backstory about betrayal but doof!reader later comes to terms that it was just Joker manipulating Harley

(This can also explain why Doof! Reader had Vanessa over a lot even tho they were ‘separated’)

Harley goes thru her arc but meets up with reader and both finally get a proper divorce

Their marriage was rushed anyway and harley needs to work on herself and also found genuine love with ivy (I love WLW)

Once she gets cleared enough by reader she gets to have Vanessa as long as its a legal activity

Alright.

If we go with option 2

The fact Reader was married before and had a child is already crazy

But the fact it was with HARLEY QUINN (albeit it was before she went crazy) makes people go crazy

Batfam is in shambles, lex, clark, and others are wondering if you have a type

Doofreader: “Hm, oh sorry. No evil plans today. I’m getting cookies ready for Vanessa’s school’s bake sale.”

Superman: “Then what’s that new inator?”

Doofreader: “It’s my duplicinator!! I’m using it to make more cookies. I had an idea to use it for one of my evil plans, but it’s much more useful as a tool. Especially for Vanessa’s school events. When I’m not using it, it’s a handing coat rack.”

-Superman takes off the net and walks over to one of the cookies. Doofreader smacks his hand away-

Doofreader: “if you want one you’ll have to buy it like everyone else.”

Superman: “Haha sorry, do you need any help packing them.”

Doofreader: “Yes, actually if you can grab those pink boxes that’ll be great. I’m trying to make a lot for Vanessa’s thing, cause she’s a bit upset their other parent, my ex won’t be able to make it. They got the fever.”

Superman holding back his jealousy: “You were married?”

Doofreader: “Yeah, it didn’t work out. We were just better friends than anything romantic.”

Actual Doof is #The girl dad

But since Vanessa is still so young our Doof!reader is less tame about it

Especially with a fresh divorce and being worried om how it’ll affect her

But tbh I don't know how to make Vanessa feel about the whole thing its 50/50 if I want her to actually be glad about the divorce or upset

BUT ANYWAYS

When people hear that Doof!Reader was Married AND Divorced, boy do they go crazy

Batfam was angry at themselves for not going to the wedding

Only Alfred went and yes he showed them the invitation that was for everyone

Then angry about the notion of a divorce

Before they knew the reason for it they were 100% gonna go on a witch hunt for whoever broke their dear child/siblings heart (it was promptly shut down as soon as they figured out the reason for the divorce was from mutual agreement)

Lex and Supes were JEALOUS

All your firsts were taken

Lex was at the wedding too maybe and boy was he devastated

Imagine how he felt when you told him you were expecting a whole child

They speed ran that #adulthood saga in of their life cuz they fr just wanted a family and wanted that #normal life outside the batfam

Maybe graduated early got married at 18-20 changed their last name ofc

Got their daughter soon after and divorced on good terms and changed their name again but kept the W

(Ex. (Reader) W. [last name])

I dont know if it makes sense timeline wise to make the kid around the same age as damien or much younger

Cuz If i want a more Vanessa personality shed have to be a pre-teen already done with doof!readers overbearing parenting/ evil schemes

Reader was there for Dick and Jason but maybe left right after jason died

Or maybe before

Doof!reader is ofc a genius inventor that could probably solve world hunger if they weren’t so caught up in the past and not really looking towards the bigger picture of things

Idk if i want to make a perry character or just have doof!reader being a villain to anyone that would listen to their monologues in the JL

Random thought about Doof!reader while I was cooking my dinner

Since Doof!reader literally only exists to be the heir to Wayne Industries just in case bruce don't make it back one day

Reader owns a pretty decent percentage of shared once they reach 18

But since they graduated early they had to take some control early since Bruce can have more time for the night time activities

But since reader wanted out of Gotham and this family they did a bunch of things in the span of a week or so

Graduated on Monday

Married on Wednesday

Honeymoon and Slideshow on how it would be beneficial for them to start a branch company in metropolis to show at a board meeting on Thursday

Said board meeting on Friday

And buying and rebranding a metropolis building on Saturday and Sunday

Broski wanted OUT NOW

They are a dumbass but when they put their mind to something they can achieve it (also nepo baby)

Door!reader left after the Jason death and right after Timmy comes in

Dus W. Doofenshmirtz Evil Inc (idk if I'm keeping doofenshmirtz)

And a partnership with Lex Corp too so one day when Bruce actually has time to read the paper they see the big

“Wayne industries branch company now in business co-operation with Long time rival Lex Corp”

I started this out of pure hatred and spite because all the good ideas or long-standing series and specifically female, fem-coded, AFAB and even when it's is like a trans man its heavily misogynistic or stereotypical and its just a written as a cutsy petite ‘man’ with boy pussy or just tagged “x reader” when in actuality its an OC

I want silly ideas and neglected reader I can read and don't have to make my brain work overtime to change the words while reading in my head cuz its the only time I see good writing

Alr now how they got here

After reader graduates they escape from Gotham to the complete opposite of their home city to Metropolis

To add more salt to the wound they are good acquaintances with a mister Lex Luther

Ceo and rival to Mr Bruce Wayne and Wayne enterprises

(Doof!reader takes pride on shitting on their Dad through this)

With Doof!reader making him gadgets after gadgets

(the only time there isn't a funny self-destruct button in one of their contraptions due to Lex constantly making specific requests to not add one)

Their business relationship is not public tho

Due to the fact that Doof!reader is very obvious with their evil plans and crop just like the actual Doof

And yes they have The jingle and everything

Even if no one (civilians) but Vanessa actually believes they are “Evil”

(again if anyone wants to take this idea and expand on in go ahead. I'm not gonna be making more than the occasional random thought. Just make sure to tag me)

Bruce wasnt even in the country and the readers mom wasn’t present in their life in anyway besides physical (sometimes)

even if she is a pre-teen she tries to be independant but it's seen in a more cutesy way and sometime reader indulges her and at times its like a mini damien without all the assassin cult stuff
