So you know the type of Danny Phantom fic, which has been around forever, where the Fentons capture and torture Danny on the premise that ghosts do not actually feel pain. Any begging or insistence otherwise is really an imitation of human behavior. Every "stop" and "you're hurting me" is just a complex ectoplasmic process trained on human memory, but not real. Not a real feeling or experience or emotion.

It's currently the year 2025 and I've come to the realization Danny is ChatGPT to them.

Unexpectedly Naughty Fukami is such a treat for aroallos and allosexual-leaning aromantics, however the amount of people saying Fukami is demiromantic is baffling to me.

First of all, yes, they do end up together as lovers/boyfriends and Fukami does fall in love with Kaji. Platonic love. Like, it's literally explicitly said in the manga via the definition of it. To me it's clearly a type of a queerplatonic relationship. It can often looks like romance from outside perspective, but it depends on how the people in it feel. Fukami doesn't really like holding hands and going out, but likes hugs and domestic bliss. Kaji wants romantic dates, but doesn't force anything on Fukami, who is willing to go along with a lot in order to make Kaji happy. They both make compromises in order for the relationship to work.

Second, the conversation with the sister about being afraid of being left alone? Yeah, that was about any and all relationships! This dude didn't even have real, close friends. After the death of his parents, and the toxic ex, he isolated himself from other people and only engaged meaningfully with his closest family. When his family left him to live their life he became lonely and that's when he met Kaji, who slowly filled the emptiness of his home, so to speak. The conversation they had after the goodbye party isn't "actually I do love you, I just didn't know it" it's "I'm not forcing myself to be your lover, it's just that my definition of love is different and I wasn't sure if it was compatible with yours, but now I see it is".
