There’s a very specific reason the ending is done the way it is. If you listen to the lyrics, Harry and Niall start the song. They’re representing the fans. Listen to their lyrics. Then Louis and Liam represent One Direction. They’re telling the questioning fans not to worry because this is not the end. Therefore, at the end of the video, Niall and Harry exit one way together (the fans) and Liam and Louis exit the other way (1D). This represents the hiatus. The temporary parting of the fans and the boys. The break in and of itself. They don’t hug goodbye, they wave. Because it’s not goodbye, it’s see you later. I’d be willing to bet that when hiatus ends, they will do a video announcement for it and it’ll start with the blank brick wall background and then you’ll see Niall and Harry walk in from the left and Liam and Louis walk in from the right and boom there you have it. The fans and the boys reuniting. And then they will announce they’re going back on tour. You’re welcome.

“Not everyone’s as well groomed as you, Liam.” Louis pestered while his right hand disrupts Liam’s hair.
Swatting his hand away, he looked the joker up and down. “You’re right there, mate.”
“I shower everyday, thank you very much.” Louis informed, jumping down the last few stairs. Stepping through the red door, a cheeky grin grew on his face- eyes full of mischief. “Unlike Harry.”
Harry stopped, in the middle of an empty road. Mirroring his actions, we stood less than a metre behind. His shoulders lifted. He cracked his knuckles. “Oh, you wanna play dirty ay?” Whipping his vision through the middle of us, towards Louis; his eye’s twinkle with madness. “Hey Louis, hey, come over here,” Harry slowly stretched out his arms, crazily twitching his head to gesture, “give greasy Harry a nice, juicy hug, hmm.”
Louis gasps, “what have I done?” He drops to his knees. Gawking up at sky, he raises his hands and cries, “Why God? Why!”
Playfully, Harry tackles him from the side. Louis falls onto his back; without hesitation, Harry ruffles his thick curls in the jokers face. Niall and I erupted with fits of laughter, holding on to each for dear life.
Chuckling, Liam intercepts, “come on guys, we don’t want to draw attention.” No, no we don’t. __________
