Ok so fic request: you are in town and kindly help a mom who is trying to wrangle all her kids while doing errands by holding her baby girl and Billy is just like 😍watching you with the baby
౨ৎ꣑ৎbilly sees you helping a mother౨ৎ꣑ৎ fem reader x billy the kid thank you @phantomamour for proofing <3

“I’ll be right back,” Billy promised you, slipping a coin into your hand and kissing your hairline. “Go get yourself somethin’, sweetheart. I can meet you at the general store.” You’d mentioned you wanted some new ribbons last night.
You smiled bright like sunshine. “Thank you.” With a quick kiss to his cheek, you meandered off in the direction of the store. He didn’t tear his eyes away from you until you were safely inside. A man could never be too careful, especially when it was him. Billy always did his best to shield you from the inevitable scrutiny that came from being seen with an outlaw in such a way. You were the last person on this earth who deserved it. The only part you seemed to understand was that people didn’t like Billy, and it made you sad enough as it was.
Even now he’d have liked to accompany you into the store but he was well aware of how having him next to you made you look. In the time he’d been in trouble with the law, he’d learned to try not to care what anybody thought of him, but it was different when it came to you. The hardened lessons of the world hadn’t knocked you off your feet like they had him, and he’d do anything to make sure they never would.
The presence of you in his life was like a breath of fresh air in a smoke-filled house. You reached into the dark, gunpowder riddled cavern of him and pulled out things that were soft and safe, things that hadn’t been held in a long time. In return he had a strong desire to protect you, as you were made of nothing but those things. Protection included understanding that even though he’d left his old life behind to try and mold himself back into an honest man, there were still ripples from the stones he’d cast into the lake of his life.
He concluded his business rather quickly but still let you be for a little while, knowing you were safe where you were. Billy took his time walking back, stopping at the hitching station to check on his horse and feed him a carrot or two. He caught a glimpse of you in the window when he looked over to the general store like a vision from heaven. You were smiling, saying something to someone he couldn’t see.
Before Billy knew it his feet were moving, unable to resist having you near for more than a few minutes. The bell over the door jingled cheerfully as he walked in, craning his neck to locate you. He could hear your voice but it was muffled by the sound of a crying baby somewhere nearby. Poking his head around the corner, Billy found both you and the baby, which was in the arms of its mother, arms flailing as she spoke to you.
You said something he couldn’t hear, holding your arms out. The mother deposited the baby into them, her expression relieved. She took the hands of her other two children and walked away, going to look at the bolts of fabric nearby. He waited until her back was turned to walk to you. The baby was quieting as you rocked it gently, humming softly and swaying back and forth. When you saw him you smiled. “Hello.”
“Sweetheart,” he greeted, kissing the top of your head and clasping your waist in one hand. “Who’s this?”
“Ellie,” you said, leaning into his side. “I’m just watching her while her mama measures some fabric. She looked a little too overwhelmed.” When the baby cooed, you giggled, shifting her into one arm and holding out your finger for her to grab. “And this little one’s a real sweetheart.”
The look in your eyes turned Billy into mush. Seeing you with a baby in your arms left him starry eyed, and he had the sudden urge to seize you and take you home this instant to make a little one of your own. Thinking of you as the mother to his child only heightened your beauty.
Of course he’d imagined it before, but he’d not thought it would ever be possible. A family had never been something safe for him to pursue. Besides, he wondered what child could ever be proud to have him as a father. Now the answer was staring right at him. One who had you as a mother.
Ellie waved her arm and you tapped her nose lightly, an adorable laugh bubbling out of her. “You’re such a cutie, huh? You’d better be this good for your mama when she comes back, m’kay?”
He felt faint. The closest feeling he could compare it to was when he was in a fight and all it came down to was survival. Instincts were kicking in and he had to restrain himself. You were holding someone else’s baby. It wouldn’t be wise for him to sweep you off your feet just yet.
The woman bustled over after a few minutes, looking relieved. “Thank you so much again.” She reached for her baby and you handed her over carefully. “I don’t know what I would’ve done withou-” When she noticed Billy, her eyes widened and she took a step back.
You didn’t seen to notice, taking his arm and resting your head on his shoulder. He felt stiff, aware that the last thing this woman wanted was for her baby to be close to the likes of him. There was always a tension when someone recognized him, and he hated when you were near it. He was about to walk away when your hand began to run up and down his arm. Billy’s shoulders relaxed, and he shifted his gaze from the horrified woman to you and your sweet smile.
“It was no problem,” you assured her, squeezing his elbow. “She’s just darling.”
The woman looked from you to him, her shock seeming to fade. “Ah…thank you.” One of her other children began to tug on her hand, and she gave you a quick smile before turning away.
Your smile was contagious as you looked up at him, and he wrapped his arm around your waist, trying to ignore the feeling filling his chest like a cloud. “I got some new ribbons.” He let you lead the way outside, and when you stopped at his horse, looking up at him with wide eyes, his breath was nearly stolen. “D’you think we’ll have one someday?”
“Hm?” His head was hazy and he was glad his horse knew the way home, or else he didn’t think he’d be able to get there.
You smiled softly, reaching down for his hand and squeezing it. “A baby. Someday.”
“Yeah,” he breathed without thinking. “Yeah, sweetheart, I think so.”
Reaching up, you wrapped your arms around his neck and his mind’s eye was flooded with the image of you, carrying his child. There was a time when he could have lived on these fantasies alone, but they were hard to ignore when he had you right here in his arms. You pressed your face to him, and he held you for a moment, relishing it.
The imaginings were thickening, and his hold on you tightened. “Wanna go home?” He was itching to kiss you in a way that wasn’t appropriate for public.
Your smile was knowing. He couldn’t contain his own as you reached up to touch your lips to his briefly. “Yes. I think so.”

it is so important to me that you know that not only does batman generally dislike guns, he is terrified of them. like 9 times out of 10 his first thought when someone pulls out a gun is “oh shit that guy has a fucking gun”, his second thought is how disarm the person, and his third thought is the memory of the day his parents were shot in an alley. i don’t think he should resort to using guns for most reasons tbh
#even dick pointed out Bruce’s fear of guns! like idk…it’s not just an ick it’s something that genuinely makes bruce’s mind go blank.#but honestly idk how to really feel on the common “batman trained extensively with all types of guns while training” stories?#i do agree he probably HAS used and trained with guns with much disgust/anxiety (as seen in many stories such as btk)-#but i don’t think he would go as far as to put a whole secret gun cavern in his cave that he regularly trains with.#the whole reason WHY bruce trained to be batman was to excel in combat without using guns! To learn how to be BETTER than that!#so i really don’t think bruce knows or even WANTS to know more than what is absolutely necessary. he is prepared for anything after all <3#batman#bruce wayne#dc comics

Little facts about the BTK killer, Dennis Rader
꒰ྀིঌ ໒꒱ྀི
♡ Rader's wife knew at least somewhat of how deprived he was, in fact she saw the pictures of him that he had taken of himself, tied up in bondage and womens clothing. She confronted him a few times about the situation, and even threatened to take their children with her and leave. It's alleged that she walked in on him at least once while he was taking the photos.
♡ When Rader was only in grade school, he realized that he was interested in bondage, while one day playing with a group of kids and seeing them tied up. This led to him having thoughts about girls as well, specifically bondage and sick fantasies.
♡ Rader's childhood was filled with neglect, which was likely adding fuel to the fire of his sadistic tendencies developing at such an early age.
♡ Rader was born on March 9th, 1945 making him a pisces; which seems to be a common pattern in serial killers.
♡ Rader would do something that he liked to call 'trolling'; which was basically him driving around neighborhoods and lusting over women, most likely thinking depraved things.
♡ Rader drew a picture of a young girl tied up in a barn that looked eerily similar to a young girl that went missing recently at the time, a sixteen year old named Cynthia Dawn Kinney. There was a lot of evidence that linked him to the disappearance; but Rader was never convicted of any crimes connected to the incident.
♡ Rader's daughter went on to write a book about growing up with Rader, and initially finding out that her father was the infamous BTK killer.
♡ Rader was seen as a polite and respectful man within his community, and was even a member of the church council and was a Cub Scout leader. He also worked as a security alarm installer from 1974 to 1988, going into peoples homes as part of his job.
♡ Rader confessed that after murdering his 53 year old neighbor, Marine Hedge, he took her body to the church he attended and took pictures of her in bondage positions.

౨ৎ꣑ৎmasterlist౨ৎ꣑ৎ ~enthralling~ fem reader x billy the kid thank you my darling @phantomamour for proofing!! <3

Billy was cleaning his gun by the fireplace when you walked out of the bathroom holding scissors by the sharp end. “You ready to see your girl?”
He sharpened immediately, sitting up and dropping his cloth, setting the gun on the nearby table. “Let’s see it.”
“Come show your daddy!” you called. A few moments later, his eldest emerged, her once waist length hair now brushing her shoulders. You wrapped your arms around her waist, squeezing once. “Look how pretty our girl is.”
He stood, nearly speechless. In all the time Annie had been under his care she’d had long hair. Her new haircut framed her face, and he could see just how much she looked like him now. It was still long enough to tie back, which was good for her painting. The change nearly brought tears to his eyes. He could really see how grown up she was now.
Billy lifted a finger, making a circle. “Spin around so I can see.”
His daughter giggled. “Daddy, it’s not a dress.”
“C’mon,” he insisted, holding out a hand for you. You took it eagerly, turning and setting the scissors by his gun. Annie blushed, but she spun and her hair flew out, the fading sunlight through the window catching the ends and making it look like there was gold in it. Grinning, Billy held out his arms and she ran into them. “Beautiful honey. You look beautiful.”
“Thank you Daddy,” she whispered, and he kissed the top of her head.
When the two of you were lying in bed that night sheltered in each other’s arms, he muttered, “Our girls are growin’ up too fast.”
You patted his chest. “Kat’s hardly three years old.”
“We’re gettin’ older too, baby,” he whispered, stroking your hair. Thinking for a moment, he asked, “You hear anythin’ else ‘bout the boy Annie likes?”
“Thomas,” you reminded him, half sitting up. “I’ve seen him a few times in town. He’s real sweet on her. Kinda reminds me of you.”
“Funny,” he said deadpan and you kissed the space over his heart.
“It’s harmless, Billy,” you assured him. “I can tell he’s a good boy. ‘Sides you’ll have to get used to him if they start seein’ each other.” When he grunted you gave him another kiss on his jaw. “We’ll have him over for dinner if they do. Then you can decide if you wanna start using your gun again.”
Billy folded both his arms over you, his chin resting on your head. Though the thought of his daughter with a boy boiled his blood, the way you kissed him simmered it right back down. “Hmph.” His thoughts turned back to age inevitably. Someday he hoped his girls would find love and men who would take good care of them and he wouldn’t hear anything otherwise. But Billy knew better than anybody how quickly things could change and how a loving family could be broken into bits because of one tragedy. He’d been thinking about this on and off for awhile but this only stoked the fire.
“I’ve been thinkin’...” Billy started, stroking your arm gently. “Honey what if we turned this place into a ranch?”
You sat up, looking down at him. He couldn’t quite see your eyes in the dark but he knew you. The look on your face had to be at least a little quizzical. “We’ve talked about doing this before.”
“We have,” he affirmed. “But honey, I really wanna do it this time. I wanna leave somethin’ behind for Annie ‘n Kat when we’re gone.” You began to rub his chest, and he could picture the soft look on your face.
“Yeah?” You settled back into him. “I think that’s a good idea. We’ve got enough money saved up to start.”
Billy kissed your head, holding you closer than ever. “You’re the best woman in the whole world, y’know that?”
Giggling, you snuggled into him. “It’ll be nice to build something like that. I know how much you love workin’ but you’re a leader, Billy. This’ll be your bread ‘n butter.”
He grinned, kissing your head again. “All I’ve ever wanted was to provide for you. And I think this’s the right way to do it.”
“You just wanna be a big scary ranch owner so you can scare all Kat and Annie’s boys away,” you laughed.
He chuckled softly and nuzzled your hair. “Well maybe that’s one good part ‘f it.”

“Look at the kitties, Kat,” Billy whispered, holding her on his hip. “Which one would Mama like?”
Kat pointed to one, holding her wooden fish in her other hand. “Cat!”
“Hmm.” Billy looked up at Annie, who had located Thomas within minutes of arriving in town. He’d wanted to surprise you with a cat, something you’d always talked about having. When you were a little girl you’d had a white fluffy one. “Look at the orange and black one, Kat.” She squealed, reaching out. The kittens were writhing like worms in the cardboard box they’d been put in. The girl selling them was making faces at Kat, waving with her fingers.
“Daddy,” Kat clung to the collar of his shirt. “Fish.”
“Oh-” She’d dropped her fish. Billy knelt with some difficulty, picking it back up for her. “Here y’go darlin’.”
“Thank you,” she said solemnly, looking back at the kittens. Kat pointed at a black one mewling and standing with his front paws on the edge of the box. “That one.”
“Hm,” Billy considered, looking back at the little calico he’d pointed out earlier. He put his daughter down, picking the kitten up. She mewed, nuzzling her little head into his palm. “I dunno Kitty Kat. This one’s real sweet.”
Annie wandered back over, Thomas at her heels. She cooed, picking up the little black one. “Oh, Daddy look at this one!”
He reached a hand out to touch its head and the black cat swiped, smacking his hand away. “I dunno, bug. I think Mama will like this one.”
“What if we got them both?” she suggested, still petting the black one. “So they wouldn’t be lonely.”
“Cat!” Kat reached up and Billy knelt with the little calico, narrowing his eyes at the black cat. He could have sworn there was a smug look on its face as it purred and snuggled into Annie’s hands. He held out his kitten to Kat but she reached upward for Annie instead. “Cat!”
Frowning, Billy watched Annie knelt in front of Kat. He opened his mouth to warn Annie that the kitten might scratch her but the black kitten purred instead, patiently letting Kat pet it. His shoulders slumped.
He looked down at the little kitten he was holding, who was nearly asleep in his hands. There was no way he was leaving without her. But his girls were so set on the spawn of the devil. Sighing, he figured that there was more than enough room for two.
Patting his pocket, he made sure the special something he’d picked up earlier was still there. With Billy’s luck he’d lose it, but so far it was still there. He fished out the money for the two kittens and handed it to the girl behind the box.
“Mama’s gon’ be happy,” Kat said, her little high pitched voice excited. He grinned, tucking her hair behind her ear.
“She is,” he said, kissing her head. “You all ready for tonight?”
“I picked flowers!”
“Yeah you did,” he said proudly, looking to Annie. Where usually she’d say something back now she was wordless, eyes on the horizon. While she was already a quiet girl, lately she’d been slipping into daydreams unprompted. She was still happy he knew, but she wasn’t here. He just knew it had to do with Thomas, and it often turned his smile to a frown. You said it was just a part of growing up, but he missed his little girl.
Arriving home, his sadness was undone by the sight of you in the window. Probably humming something, always beautiful beyond belief. As he dismounted his horse, setting Kat on her feet, he reached for the box they’d put the kittens in. “You go get ready,” he said to Annie, and she smiled, nodding and taking Kat by the hand. They would enter through the kitchen door while Billy went to see you.
He smiled when you ran to him and threaded your arms around his waist. “Hi, sunshine.”
“Hello,” you greeted warmly, reaching up to kiss him. The box he’d set by the door was moving, and he tried to distract you from it, kissing your nose.
“I’ve got a surprise for you,” Billy whispered, stroking your back. “We’re doin’ somethin’ tonight.”
“Yeah?” You looked up with wide eyes and a big smile, the sweetest thing in the world.
Billy kissed your forehead. “Put on somethin’ nice.” You smiled excitedly, turning around to go to the bedroom. He grinned, the shadow of your excitement putting a bounce in his step as he followed you.
He donned his nice shirt and pants, taking pains to tie his handkerchief around his neck just so. You were in a pretty pale blue dress embroidered with flowers, your hair loose over your shoulders. Billy’s breath was nearly stolen at the mere sight of you, and he clasped you around the waist, kissing your forehead. “Beautiful. You’re always beautiful.”
Leading you back out, he retrieved the box and sat in his cozy chair by the fireplace, patting his legs. “C’mere. I’ve got somethin’ for you.” You sat happily in his lap, cozying up close. He put the box on your legs. “Open up.”
You lifted the lid and the gasp that came from you nearly sent him shooting for the moon. “Oh, Billy!” The kittens were already purring, cuddled up into each other, and it almost melted his heart. You reached out, stroking a finger over the black one’s cheek. He could hear tears in your voice. “They’re so precious.”
“Think of some names for ‘em,” he whispered, kissing your shoulder.
“You got me all dressed up for our kittens?” you asked, a giggle in your voice.
“Partly,” he muttered. Billy nudged your side, nodding downwards. “Got somethin’ else to show you.”
“Mm?” You set the box down, the kittens snuggling against each other and falling back asleep. Later he’d get them back out and let them explore the house, give them a little something to eat. But for now he was excited to bring you outside and show you what he and the girls had been planning for weeks.
“C’mon, angel,” he brought you to stand with him, holding you around the waist and kissing your crown. He clasped his hand in yours and led you to the door. “We’re gonna go on a little walk.”
Your excitement was almost something he could hold in his hands. The forest was bright with the lingering sunlight of the day, the outlines of the green leaves glowing. He’d timed it perfectly so the sun was setting, painting the sky with yellow and pink. The perfect backdrop. You looked ethereal, nearly unreal in this light.
Billy pushed aside a branch, revealing the sight of Annie and Kat in their dresses, standing in the clearing and each holding a fistful of flowers. Your eyes widened and he thought he saw tears glistening in them.
“Annie?” She smiled wide, stepping forward and giving her flowers to you.
“You and Daddy got married twelve years ago today,” she said meekly, and Kat reached up to give you her flowers too.
You accepted them and put a hand to your heart. “Oh my sweethearts.” Turning to Billy, you flung your arms around his neck. “How did I forget? I’m so sorry honey-”
“‘S okay, baby,” he promised, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear. Billy knelt, pulling the little box he’d picked up earlier out of his pocket. You clutched your flowers to your chest, blinking in surprise. Billy tried for all of two seconds to do it right but he couldn’t help it, reaching out to hold your free hand. “We got married in such a rush and I never got to do this the way I wanted to. The way you deserve.”
Another stream of tears fell down your cheeks, and he kissed your fingers. “Wanted to give you this.” Opening the box, Billy revealed the ring he’d commissioned from the goldsmith in town. It had a delicate circle of flowers engraved on the top. When you’d gotten married the first time, he’d used the ring his pa had given to his mother. The sentiment was sweet, but the ring was too big. You’d worn it on your middle finger all these years. This one was a perfect fit- he’d made sure of it.
“I didn’t believe in good things before you came along,” he said, voice going a little thick. Trying to keep it together, Billy squeezed your hand. “You gave me our girls, this life we have that I wouldn’t give for anything. Happy anniversary, my love.’
Your eyes were still misty as he slid the ring onto your correct finger, pulling him to stand up and yanking him back down by the handkerchief for a kiss. He seized you around the waist, lifting you so your feet were hovering over the ground. You smiled into the kiss, and he swayed you back and forth. “I love you, sweetheart.”
“I love you,” you whispered, arms around his neck.
Annie clapped excitedly, and Kat ran over, grabbing one of your legs. “Mama!” Billy set you down and you knelt, hugging her when she jumped into your arms. Her sweet little voice melted his heart. “Look pretty Mama.”
You plucked one of the flowers from your bouquet and tucked it behind your ear. “Did you help Daddy pick out the kittens?” “Yeah!” she was holding her wooden fish in one hand, “Pretty kitties.”
Kissing the top of her head, you smoothed her hair, standing up to hug Annie too. “My beautiful girl. You’re so sweet to help your Daddy.” She smiled softly, then gave Billy a look. He nodded, putting his arm back around you.
“Me and Kat are gonna go now,” Annie said, picking up her little sister. Kat waved, her fish still in hand. “Have fuuuun,” she shouted over her shoulder as she walked away and he gave her a look.
You watched them, confused. “Where’re they…?” Turning to Billy, you tilted your head.
He wrapped his arms around you from behind, swaying back and forth. “Annie’s takin’ Kat to a friend’s house for the night so we can have some time together.”
“Oh?” You turned in his arms, smiling when he kissed your shoulder. “What kinda time?”
“Well I’m makin’ us some dinner,” he started, still swaying with you. “And then…I dunno…maybe we’ll go to bed early.”
“Mhm,” you hummed, and he could hear the near laugh in your voice. “I put somethin’ pretty on under my dress. I’d hate for you to miss out.”
“Oh yeah?” In one quick motion Billy reached down and swept you into his arms, your knees bent over his elbow, other arm positioned around your back. “Well maybe I wanna have dessert first.”
“Billy!” you shrieked as he spun around once, beginning to walk back to the house.
“Look so pretty,” he said, kissing your forehead.
You wrapped your arms around his neck and leaned into him, enjoying the ride back home. This was where he liked you best- safe in his arms, happy as ever.

One distractedly cooked dinner later, Billy had disappeared under your skirt and pulled down your garter with his teeth and nearly suffocated himself and then crawled back up your body to kiss you silly among other things. Right now his face was stretched out in a wide smile as he laid bare underneath the covers with your leg hooked over one of his, your chest pressed to his. One of his arms was slung around your waist, and he hid his nose in your hair for a moment, breathing you in.
“You’re so beautiful,” he breathed, kissing your head.
“Do you think the cats are okay?” you wondered, snuggling close. He’d given them some tuna fish that the black kitten seemed to hog. Naturally he’d taken to you instantly, leading Billy to believe that there was a personal vendetta on the cat’s side.
“They’re fine, angel,” he assured you. “Probably just sleepin’.”
Frowning, you rubbed his chest. “Can we bring them in?”
“Baby,” he whined, clasping you tighter. “We’re comfy.”
“I’ll come back,” you promised, standing up and snatching his shirt from where you’d tossed it on the ground earlier. He watched you longingly as you wrapped it around yourself, the shape of your shadow by candlelight moving to the door. The pitter patter of little paws could be heard once you opened it, and he chuckled, laying back. “See?” you picked up the black kitten and set him on the bed. Billy reached down for the calico. “They wanted to be with us.”
“Alright, alright,” he said, laying back and reaching for you. When you settled back into his arms he sighed, pulling the blanket back over the two of you. “Only for tonight.”
“Aww, honey,” you pouted, kissing his chest. “They like being with us, see?” He followed the line of your finger to where the kittens were settled on Billy’s stomach, curled around each other. Their purrs were vibrating into him, and he couldn’t help but smile.
He kissed your forehead, smoothing your hair back. “Maybe they do.”
It would be hard not to admit how perfect this was, with his girl nestled into his side and the kittens on him. The perfect end to a perfect night.

Finally got to it but anyways- BRUCE LOOKING AT MINHKHOA...brought to you by my delusional self

Also noticed how he (mostly)looks at Minhkhoa like that when he's smiling...hm...
#batman#bruce wayne#ghostbat#minhkhoa khan#ghostmaker#another thing I noticed is that Bruce usually looks AWAY from minhkhoa while Minhkhoa always looks at Bruce unbashedly with that smile-#or admiration#The few moments BRUCE looks at khoa is to admire his skills and talent or just being filled with warmth when he sees minhkhoa smile#also i changed my mind about one thing- Minhkhoa fell first and HARDER and bruce fell second#minhkhoa is also the one denying it the hardest#anyways I read btk again can you guys even believe omfg
