if you ever have the pleasure of staying at the bount mansion you're in for witnessing one of the most tense and dysfunctional family units, and a very... interesting mansion, itself.
every one of the bount's, besides go-koga, yoshino, and @equiilux's autumn are sociopaths to some degree and may try to torture you and then devour your soul for shits and giggles. be wary of approaching any of them.
half of the bount's are always angling for ways to kill/overthrow jin, even jin's ex wife yoshino, but they are too scared to actually do anything so there's always just this awful tension hanging around in the air.
sometimes the bount's let their doll's roam around free, and they're no better than their owners most of the time-- god help you if you run into dalk, or utagawa's snake-copy machine, or mabashi's mind numbingly annoying gremlin weasel, to name a few.
no one in this god damn house can cook save for jin, but he's usually too busy gambling, drinking, smoking, thinking about his vengeance against the soul society, or whatever else 1000+ year old soul eating vampires do-- you better order out, or bring a lunch box.
if you hear jin blasting alternative rock/metal from the speakers in his grand bedroom in the odd hours of the night you had better leave him to it, or join in.
it's best you arrive to the mansion with an invite or with the sole intent to thrown down the gauntlet because its almost impossible to sneak into this place thanks to the workings of ugaki's doll(s).
the mansion itself is ridiculously large and its very easy to get lost inside. worse than that, the mansion (like many of the mansions jin owns) is purposefully designed to fuck with people sometimes (doors, hallways, stairs that lead nowhere, etc), and there is the occasional trap, too. the outside of the mansion is no better either, since jin's fond of maze shrubbery.
clocks, so many clocks. every room has at least one, but some have multiple. there's at least one hundred of those large, grandfather-type clocks alone located throughout the mansion-- why? because time is an interesting thing to ponder on for someone who's immortal. jin also just likes the aesthetic.

please i love you i'm begging you bring back suspension of disbelief bring back trusting the audience like. i cannot handle any more dialogue that sounds like a legal document. "hello, i am here to talk to you about the incident from a few minutes ago, because i feel you might be unwell, and i am invested in your personal wellbeing." "thank you, i am unwell because the incident was hurtful to me due to my childhood, which was bad." I CANT!!!!
do you know how many people are mad that authors use "growled" as a word for "said"? it's just poetics! they do not literally mean "growled," it's just a common replacement for "said with force but in a low tone." it's normal! do you hear me!! help me i love you please let me out of here!!!

I really think they need to start teaching kids in schools that most blind people can see a little bit, most deaf people can hear a little bit, and most wheelchair users can walk a little bit. And they are still disabled.
