Moller M400 Skycar, 2001. A project by Paul Moller (pictured) to market a  a flying car with VTOL (vertical take-off and landing) capability. Each of the four pivoting ducted fan pods is powered by a pair of Rotapower Wankel engines (making 8 rotary engines in total, each producing 102hp, so 816hp in combination). The Skycar demonstrated tethered hovering capability in 2003, being tethered for insurance reasons. The development of the M400 (and smaller M200) encountered a number of setbacks and, as of 2023, the M400 has never achieved free flight. The parent company, Moller International, has been dormant since 2015. Moller has made several unsuccessful attempts to sell the prototype on Ebay

Jump jets in the Black Forest! Of all the aircraft operated by the RAF in Germany, the first-generation Harrier GR.1 had the distinction of serving the longest. Its ability to deploy away from the vulnerable airfields made it an indispensable NATO asset.

Hovering Harrier by Treflyn Lloyd-Roberts Via Flickr: This was so loud... I can remember watching the Spanish Harrier display at Farnborough in 2014, wondering if it would be the last time I would see one fly - and a decade later they are still wowing the crowds. Seen here at the 2024 Royal International Air Tattoo. Aircraft: Armada Española (Spanish Navy) McDonnell Douglas EAV-8B Harrier II+ VA.1B-38/01-926 from 9° Escuadrilla. Location: RAF Fairford, Gloucestershire.

Honestly just getting this one off the table at this point. I've been struggling recently to keep myself painting.
It's a Clan Snow Raven Gossamer VTOL, decked out in the colors of the Gamma Garrison Galaxy.

This is a kitbash I threw together after playing one in a game (3 clan MPLs on an 11/17 mover is tasty).

I'd found a random gamepiece that somewhat matched the center-lift-fan of the artwork, and then went wild with some 3d print castoffs and greenstuff.
For comparison, the art (from TRO3145: Mercenaries)
