“Summer Block Buster” – The boys decide to ramp up their local summer block party with supersized attractions.

Yeah, that makes sense.

“Cloud With a Chance of Mom” – The kids work to save Mom after she is hit by Doof’s inator.

...huh. That's not quite what I'm expecting. Linda continues to have terrible luck with inators. :v So... she turns into that giant cloud??? I do wonder if seeing what happens to Linda will prompt any interesting interactions, like if Candace thinks this could be a way to get her right in front of the invention. Cuz like, PnF ARE gonna have to make something to restore her, meaning she could see what they do...

“Submarine Sandwich Submarine” – The kids build a giant submarine sandwich submarine while Doof steals food.

Okay, pretty obvious connection there.

“License to Bust” – Candace tries to bust the boys while taking her driving test, and Doof causes chaos in traffic.

Yeah, pretty much what we expected. Doof's obviously gonna throw a spanner in the works for Candace, and I'm betting that the stuff of Perry saving the people off the road in the trailer is likely here.

The synopses are pretty much the same as what we got before so I'll jump to the new stuff we didn't know.

“The Candace Suit” – Candace puts Mom in a Candace costume in hopes that she’ll finally see the boys’ invention.

Oh wow... this sounds insane. But also, Buford steals it? Or maybe Buford has it and then Candace is like GIMME?

“Agent T (for Teen)” – Stacy takes on an agent role with OWCA to rescue Perry from some evil scientists.

Tracks with us seeing LOVEMUFFIN, but also... everyone in the fandom is collectively celebrating now, I'm sure. Love to see how Stacy somehow gets caught up in all of this, and all of the chaos that she's going to be involved with.

“The Haberdasher” – After Doof turns into a Mothman and eats Perry’s hat, they pay a visit to the OWCA Haberdasher.

Oh wow, that's nuts. Mothman Doof is WHY they need to see the Haberdasher? Another one that sounds wild.

“Out of Character” – The boys build a space adventure film set to help Baljeet learn to act.

On one hand, this is not what I was expecting at all. But this is pretty minimalist, so my ideas of personality swaps or what have you could still be a thing. But like, there's a chance to act better, Baljeet does things to himself that change his personality... or something. Or maybe it's just a joke about Baljeet not acting well. :v On the other hand... there IS no mention of the Doof plot either (these newer ones only seem to mention one main plot per ep), so who knows what's really happening...

I just had the most INTENSE Hannigram dream... and i haven't even been watching the show of late (took a break for MH reasons). All i did was look at some gifs/picspam and meta on here, and... Hoooo-boyyy. That was the kinda dream that leads one to write it out in fic-form if only to cope with the visions.

Step one is sounding out the peeps, to see if ppl think it's worth writing down in longer format, so:

(Preface. Some of this is solely related to my brain freestyling, and doesn't always match show canon/character stuff. Fair warning.)

Will is having a dinner party at his place. He didn’t invite Hannibal on purpose, as a way to pull his metaphorical pigtails. (Obvs Will isn't really the 'throw a dinner party' type, but if he can by doing so tweak Hannibal's nose... He even deep-cleaned the dog-hair cuz he knows Hannibal will hear about it from Alana or whoever and show up anyway, because this is a courtship.) Anyway, Alana is there (partly because Will knows that she slept with Hannibal and that'll be even more tense/edgy). I dunno if Jack is there, but probably since it would make Hannibal's exclusion more pointed (I think Will's trying to get revenge on Hannibal for whatever weekly machination). Also, at one point Will's former foster parents materialize at the event (don’t ask. My brain invented that part, prolly cuz i work with foster youth).

Anyway, just as the first course is being served there is a v. precise knock at the door. We know who it is. Will goes to see, trying to pretend to be surprised/disdainful, but he's positively *thrumming* with anticipation as he opens the door. Of course it's Hannibal, bearing a gift/excuse. He hands it to Will; "Oh, i apologize, you have company."

"Yes, a dinner party."

(Alana looking up from the table, uncertain, prolly earlier she asked Will why Hannibal wasn't invited and was it because of her?)

Weighty silence. No invite. "Yes, well. I do hope it goes well." Hannibal turns to leave, visibly disappointed.

Will, aware of what he considers rude, and also that he would never be so crass as to gatecrash/invite himself: "Would you like to join us?" (SO much buried tension just under the surface. So much CHALLENGE. Will he take a pity invite? Make an excuse, say something about not wanting to interrupt? Or will he recognize this for what it really is?) (Authors note, this is the part of the dream where i started to sweat.)

Then... "I'd love to."

He enters, closing the door precisely behind him, allows Will to escort him to the empty (saved) chair to Will's right (Alana at his left is now facing Hannibal. The room swirls with unspoken tensions.)

Meal. Stilted, barbed, mannered conversation full of little prodding notes. Mostly just Hannigram. Alana tries to join in a couple of times in an attempt to alleviate the taut vibe, but quickly gives up. Hannibal addresses the foster parents (?), but only to shoot weighted comments at Will whilst asking re his childhood achievements. The FPs make a stab at civil convo, but are clearly bafflled. Everyone else focuses on their plates. There might as well not be anyone here but Hannigram, verbally fencing.

At some point, Hannibal rises, asks to use the facilities. Will follows to guide him, and is waiting in the hall as he exits. Will knows Hannibal won't lower himself to sidle past. The corridor is THICK as they face each other inches apart. Will is already panting like a slut even as he butches a little to bluff/pretend to keep the upper hand. Hannibal knows exactly what he is doing, and why, that this is flirting. The moment hangs on a knife edge.

(My alarm goes off. I wake up cursing and wrung out.)

Interesting--I wonder why the creator chose to stick with that translation. Her name is pronounced with a 'v' in the Japanese trailer for it. Maybe because it stands out more in English?

Looking into it more, it seems like what I was taught is accurate, but things aren't as set in stone as I thought they were translation-wise due to the syllables getting confused (doesn't help that many native Japanese speakers will apparently still pronounce it as a "b", because--again--"v" did not originally exist in Japanese). Still, I would argue these instances are not meant to be indicative of a trend. ヴ was invented to mean "v".

Edit: Just to add to the discussion, on more looking there's also a PinocchioP song that does spell rabbit as ラヴィット. However, this song is specifically making a play on words between "rabbit" and "love it", so this seems to be another case-specific instance.

Let me guess. You’re a Zenos enjoyer and that’s why you hate Zero. Because she got exactly the story you had hoped for Zenos. For him to learn how to be around people and go on adventures with you, but instead of him, his voidsent got the story.

Neat, my first ask on this account.

Oh dear lord I would have quit the game if they gave my sweet precious boy Zenos this story. Zenos is perfect as he is, and what you're describing is literally the plot of 6.0.

The patch story is, like, really bad.

1. It's clearly just a trial story, which is fine, but because they called it the msq, they felt they needed to take up a certain amount of playtime. So they invented these completely contrived, fake problems that give us an excuse to waste a ton of time talking to NPCs in Garlemald and the First who really have nothing meaningful to say.

2. The solution to their contrived problem, at least in Garlemald, flies in the face of the themes of the decade-long msq--selflessness, self-determination. It's literally just the propaganda line for 21st century colonialism??? "Garlemald, this poor sweet darling baby 🥹, its people are desperate not to improve their conditions, but to really feel like they've earned it 🥹 ! I know, we'll stop providing aid and instead let them sell off their natural resources to Thavnair for pennies, y'know, for the spirits of the people!"

3. E v e r y t h i n g just felt so god damn forced. The Golbez / Durante stuff was played up for tears, but we literally only just last patch learned who the fuck they are and their back story. Zeromus is completely irrelevant to the plot and was just an excuse to give us a trial. They literally were like "sorry, wol, you missed the story cuz you were just roleplaying a nuke, here's an echo flashback of what the *real* heroes were doing".

4. **Zero.** Counter to what I think you're implying, I never really had resentment toward her *in the context of Zenos*. Zenos had his ending. In fact, he had three endings if you're counting the high school AU. I love him, I love his character, I'd love to see more of him, but if they're done with him, I'm satisfied. **On the other hand** Zero just whines the entire god damn time, in the same exact way, about how she doesn't understand non-transactional relationships until suddenly it clicks for her in 6.5. There's no development, it's like they had an *idea* for the development and direction of the character, but they forgot they had to stretch it for two years worth of main story, so they just....had her repeat herself until her gigantic 180. It's not *shown* how she's transactional in nature or changing, it's just that she literally tells us every patch that that's how she is. It's so god damn boring and dry. It's like reading a 14 year old's fanfic.

5. The constant, unrelenting fellatio of FF4 also doesn't help. I have nothing against it, but they went *hard* with the "inspiration" this time. Makes everything feel disposable and predictable.

6. And since you brought up Zenos, like. Zero went *out of her way* to bring up Zenos in conversation, out of nowhere, four patches in a row. They were clearly angling to draw a contrast here, but it was never made. She never accepted or rejected Zenos view on friendship, she just ... WANTED TO SAY WORDS I guess. God I fucking. That went nowhere.

7. AND SPEAKING OF THINGS THAT WENT NOWHERE 6.1 was full of neat little lore about the voidsent and souls and what it means to devour someone. This all went absolutely freaking nowhere. Just thought we'd bring it up I guess????

8. So much, SO MUCH of Endwalker's story--main, patch, and side--revolves around the theme of companionship. At the same time, the game that story is in is progressively turning into a single player action rpg. It leaves the stories feeling hollow and fake. Like, okay, I should make friends and that's where the fun of the game should be. How should I do that? Uh...sit in limsa I guess? Cuz everywhere else is either silent (DF), communication forbidden (PvP), just soloed by the community (v/c dungeons), or positions other people as either warm bodies or hindrances (PF). FUCKING ENDWALKER man. They started off so strong with the msq and fucked it up every single step of the way.

(like how there's a dsmp iskall cuz of the time he joined fundy on a tour, or cq's first official time on the smp was in a vc w tommy.) like schlatt's far enough away for them to still be smone to be star-struck by, and they clearly hold him on a bit of a pedestal, but he's still close enough they're chummy and comfortable w him. it's textual and like. rridiculously adorable oh my gosh. my special guys.

so the coding w ctubbos relationship w him is just. yeah that older brother's friend, a shitty boss, guy who's snappy to you but is clearly projecting about it. and while there is sm stuff abt them thats incredibly purposeful and original to them, v reflective of their mindsets and parallels, there's no layer to it like that. cschlatt isn't his guardian, he isn't responsible for him in that way. they're just sm guys.

the thing that makes it even more annoying to me is there's ALREADY characters w a fraught emotional relationship w their father, that tackle how it affects their treatment of eachother, and responsibility the guardian owes them and fails to deliver on. cfundy and cwilbur !!!! ctommy and cwilbur too, cuz don't forget cwilb canonically raised him!! the layers of that are insane, especially paired w the layers cwilb has with his own father. this shit is generational.

i got about ¼th of my thoth tarot deck decorated tonight :^)

for three major arcana i washi taped over them entirely and used stickers instead because i didn't like the pictures.

and for most of the minor cards im just inventing my own meanings from scratch. i took the numerology 1-9 number meanings, the "9 lokean virtues" as made up by some blogger, suits meanings i made up and the original meanings and those smushed together serve as my prompts 👍 the reversed meanings are mostly the fitting other side of a thing or a "how could someone do this wrong"

im leaving the court cards for later because i still need to make up a system for them. as well as any cards i cant get ideas for. art block rules state to leave the hard stuff for later ;)

i need to shoutout wreck this deck for giving me the ideas and mental freedom to do this to my beloved thoth tarot cards. they are much improved now but without that game i'd never have known how good this feels! (also if you're looking to learn tarot reading, despite being a fiction-based game it's quite the good teacher imo!)

I rly love your Cheritz posts!! Yes I 100% agree Zen must be from Grass somehow. I pay attention to the April Fools DLC especially in that it confirms the only characters who are real include him, 707, Rika, V and I think Saeran??? I'm not sure about him, maybe not. But I run with the theory that 707 and V are Wizards and the desperate wish this time was made by Rika, and V pretends to be human to get close with her. The reason Rika invented Mint Eye was because somehow she realised her world was fake, built by V, and she wants to help people to somehow escape that world.

But anyway- I wanted to focus on the timing of it. I think it's rly unclear on why Zen ended up in this world along with MC so I'm not even gonna speculate too much on why since idfk. But. I have something to add.

It might be possible that the pocket dimensions created might be interlinked with each other?? Somehow?? In Rika's scrapbook there is this image - not mine, had to search for it on internet cuz I keep losing it everytime I find it (;-_-)ノ

On the page on the left is a picture of V with his family. Mother, father and sister. But that sister,, kinda looks like Eri. Man. Huh.

They don't look too similar tbh but Cheritz wouldn't make the girl look that much like Eri without reason right? I don't think it's just an Easter egg to the past games, cuz those include mugs and paintings, not actual characters???

I'm not sure what to make of this tbh. Cuz it's also implied that the universes of Nameless and Dandelion are canonically just fiction in the world of MM, with examples of Zen dressing up as Jisoo in a play and Jumin reading a bedtime story to the MC of Nameless' 2nd Secret Ending.

But Eri being V's sister, or at least a lookalike to his sister? It's definitely strange. It not only kinda messes up the timeline of it, since the "divine prince being born only every 3 generations" means ???? when clearly 3 generations have not passed since 2013 if this really is Eri.

… I wanted to get that out of the way first. Zen and Jieun obviously have physical similarities (especially when they were both younger and drawn with thick eyelashes), but let’s go beyond this. After all, Cheritz has a habit of making the love interests in their games have similarities to each other. In every game, you always have 5 love interests and 1 MC pursuing them because of reasons (V and Ray’s routes broke this pattern, but the original MM only had 5 routes so…). There are more specific similarities like 707 and Red, Yeonho, and Yoosung, arguably Lance and Jumin, etc. Now, I think this goes deeper in the case of Zen and Jieun.

like, donnie invents a robot that’s made specifically to kidnap (y/n) and he tries to make it as comforting as possible so it won’t scare them too much, except maybe he wasn’t able to run as many tests as he would’ve liked so it’s still got some bugs and the model isn’t finished, and instead of being comforting, the robot’s all scary, especially as it’s falling apart while it’s chasing them.

and then the third one, i feel, really captures donnie’s obsession. listening to it, i can just imagine him hunched at his monitor, tracking down (y/n)’s every move without them even knowing it.
