I am Raghad Ayyad from Gaza, specifically from the Shuja'iyya area in northern Gaza. I am 19 years old, a second-year pharmacy student.👩‍⚕️❤

I belong to a family who have been displaced since the beginning of the war from the north to the central area, which is supposed to be safe. I have been displaced more than 6 times within the central area to escape the bombing that is chasing us everywhere.

Ten days ago, with the deterioration of the situation and the continued bombing in the central area, orders were issued to evacuate the area in which we live. We were forcibly displaced for the seventh time to Khan Yunis.

Now we live in a tent that is completely uninhabitable, but we cannot find another place.🥺💔

My father is paralyzed in his right leg. Several months before the war, he underwent hip replacement surgery in Egypt. He was supposed to return to Egypt to complete his treatment, but the war prevented him from completing the treatment he desperately needs. He still suffers from continuous and severe pain, to the point that painkillers are no longer effective, if they exist, because the medications are not available to him in Gaza.

My dream and my father's dream was to graduate from the Faculty of Pharmacy, which I loved so much. I was doing my best to get the highest grades, and my father promised me that he would establish my own pharmacy as soon as I graduated from university, but the occupation destroyed my dream and my father's dream by demolishing my university and everything we owned. I lost a whole academic year, and the second year will start while we are still in this war, and I fear that I will lose another academic year. All I want is to get out with my family and survive this genocide so that I can achieve my dream and continue my studies and graduate from the Faculty of Pharmacy, and continue treating my paralyzed father.

I am not the only one in the family who lost an academic year. My sister Basma was supposed to finish her high school studies and then move on to university, but she lost her academic year, and my brother Mazen and my sister Nuha, who are studying in middle school, also lost an academic year.

We all dream of completing our education. We all need to get out of this genocide to complete and rebuild our lives, and this is not easy after everything we lost in this war. It will take us a long time to rebuild our lives.

Hello everyone

I am Maryam. I am 25 years old from the Gaza Strip. I will tell you my story after October 7 in light of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.

I have a family consisting of 10 members Parents, 3 girls and 5 boys We were living a life full of happiness in our home in the city of Khan Yunis. Our lives turned into a nightmare during the war that changed our lives. We became without a home, living inside a tent on the street, and there were no necessities of life, such as water, electricity, clothing, and food.

In light of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, we went through very difficult circumstances. We were displaced several times, and during the displacement operations we lost everything, and we lost my house, which was destroyed by the Israeli bombing that did not stop.

We have lost the beautiful things that my family and I used to live with, and the most difficult beautiful thing we have lost is safety in peace, due to the violent bombing that surrounded us in all the places to which we were displaced.

We are a family of 14, once living a peaceful and hopeful life in Gaza. My father Maher, a 58-year-old diabetic and former nurse, and my mother Maysoun raised us to dream big and strive for a better future. But the war that began on October 7th, 2023, has turned our lives into a nightmare.

On the third day of the war, we lost our beloved brother, Dr. Saed. He was on his way to Al Shefa hospital, where he worked tirelessly as a resident doctor, when the Jabalia camp massacre took his life. He left behind his wife Haneen and two innocent little boys, Maher (2 years old) and Ahmed (1 year old).

Our home, the heart of our family, was destroyed. It wasn’t just a building—it was a dream, built with years of sacrifice. First, it was partially damaged, but now it’s completely gone. For over a year, we’ve lived in a tent, exposed to the elements, enduring scorching heat in summer and relentless rain in winter.

We’ve run out of food. We have no clean water. Our clothes are torn. Our tent, battered by over 400 days of sun and rain, is no longer waterproof. Each raindrop reminds us of the warmth we once had, and the cold reminds us of what we’ve lost.

We’ve tried to stay strong, but the weight of this war is too much to carry alone. We need your help to survive.

Please take a moment to read my story.

I am Heba Al-Dahdouh. I currently live in the completely destroyed city of Gaza. Since the war on Gaza began on 7/1/2024, my family- my father Nasif, my mother Asmaa, and my siblings Khaled, Ahmad, Muhammad, and Malak-have been living in constant fear, crying, and suffering due to shrapnel, shells, and bullets.

We have no food, no electricity, no cooking gas, no schools, no homes, no cleaning supplies, and no clothes. My school has been bombed, and my brother Khaled's university is now rubble, depriving us all of education. The war has forced us to live in displacement centers, which are just tents unsuitable for living, especially in winter.

Every day we live death, terror, and panic a thousand times because of the ongoing bombardment of my city. The war has killed more than 50 of my relatives and neighbors. At the start of the war, we sought refuge at my aunt's house, . Imagine: we have survived imminent death more than 20 times and have been displaced among shelters more than 13 times. My siblings and I have suffered from many illnesses due to malnutrition, and we need medication continuously.

If we stay in Gaza, we might lose our lives. Recently, we have been seriously considering leaving Gaza for a safe place. However, travel costs are extremely high. We need over $50,000 to leave Gaza. A Family's Unending Journey for Safety in Gaza

My name is Mohammed, and I’m 35 years old, working as a nurse in a hospital here in Gaza. My wife, Diana, is 27, and together we’re trying to give our two young daughters a safe, stable life in a place that knows so little of either.

Our journey began in December 2023. That was when the military ordered us to evacuate our home in Al-Nuseirat. With only minutes to decide, we grabbed what we could carry, took our little girls, and moved to Khan Yunis, hoping it would be safer.

But our time there was short. We were ordered to leave Khan Yunis, so we packed up again and moved to Rafah. For a moment, we let ourselves hope that this would be the end of our running, that maybe we could start to rebuild. But Rafah wasn't safe either. Another order came, and we had no choice but to return to Al-Nuseirat, despite the dangers.

Today, we're renting a small apartment in Al-Nuseirat. It barely fits us, but it's the only place we can go. We live every day in fear, wondering if the next evacuation order will come. Each move takes away a bit more of the stability we try so hard to create for our girls. Every time we’re forced to flee, it feels like we leave behind pieces of the life we’ve worked to build.

There’s little left to hold on to but each other, and the hope that maybe one day we’ll finally find safety.
