I think the idea of like, trying to make fanart that doesn't look like fanart is really fun?? I wanted to play around with some digital collage as a like isat fanwork

This is a combination of a few starcharts (and an illustration of a comb) from Wikimedia Commons that I kinda frankenstiened together.

Originally I was going to have it say "for some reason, you feel empty" but thought this looked cool too!!

since i dont see myself getting a chance to "naturally" talk about it anytime soon, i'm going to talk about Plaything!Morastrum's design and no one can stop me

the main concept was to just kinda.. do this to her. heck, some of her colours are lifted directly from the Lor's boss palette.

the logic behind this was 1) Magolor is SO goddamn extra, of course he isn't going to stop at just the Lor when it comes to aesthetic overhauls and 2) Morastrum is young enough that it'd make sense for Magolor to still be picking out her clothes- a statement that also applies her normal design, to an extent.

first off: one of the more significant parts of her design- the crown.

I don't have much to say about the design itself, because I feel like it's pretty simple and self-explanitory. its presence, however...

first off: this is a completely normal crown! despite its resemblance to the Master Crown, it has no magic, no mind of its own, nothing. just mundane metal and gemstone. Morastrum can (and does) take this thing off whenever she wants to. it's purely a sign of status, and she hates it.

as for the rounded bits on her cloak, they're meant to make her look a bit more 'sinister'!

the ones on the ears are meant to resemble the jagged points on Traitor Magolor's horns, and took a cue from the Dark Hataranza, which uses rounded points in place of the simple zigzags Dark Taranza has in TKCD.

my intent with putting these on the bottom of the cloak was to keep the motif consistent, as well as making her outfit feel a little more elaborate, but I realized it resembled Queen Sectonia's collars, which I thought was fitting for this purpose.
