They just finished a SanderSides and Logan asked Virgil how he could help him deal with flying since they were heading to Australia soon. The others were still there and agreed that they should know. He gave them wide eyes and said,
“Wait, do you guys not know about the killer lizards who pilot planes?”
At first they laughed because they were under the impression that he was joking to make it seem like no big deal but when his face didn’t change they realized he was being legitimate.
Patton goes over and holds his head saying things like,
“You’re serious?
Oh my goodness, Im so sorry.
Who’s cruel enough to tell you these things?”
Logan and Roman realize that it must have been Deceit and Fear that lied to him for fun. They would have reveled in his reactions. This moment made them realize how much time they spent without Virgil. It was upsetting to think about. He was part of their famILY now.
Roman sacrificed his Disney movie time for Virgil to watch The Black Cauldron, Logan took time to learn vocabulary words, and Patton is just his sunshine. This would have to change a bit. Logan said goodbye to Thomas and sunk the group into the Mind palace.
Logan sat the others down on the couch.
“Okay. Virgil, we’re going to start teaching you the facts about the world. For once, I’m not going to bore you with a list to try and figure out the multitude of things you were lied to about, but I need you to express confusion about things so we can help you understand.”
Patton and Roman looked both surprised and proud. Lists were Logans THING. Like, most the books in his room have a list as a bookmark.
“Wait, so planes don’t have killer lizards as pilots? How do you know? You never see them, and what if they’re cloaked somehow..”
Logan kneels down to hold Virgils face and says with full assurance,
“Dear, I promise there are no Killer Lizards on planes. They wouldn’t be able to communicate with Humans and certainly wouldn’t be aware enough to fly a plane. Also, I don’t believe the world possesses such cloaking technology, as you mentioned.”
Patton snapped a picture during this exchange and made it his wallpaper. Logan and Virgil see the flash and flush. They both complain about pictures without consent. Roman wanted the photo, too. Patton decided he wanted to make this a game.
This resulted in two minutes of Virgil and Logan watching the the Roman chase Patton around like a lunatic. It resulted in Roman cornering Patton on a wall. This simply couldn’t be ignored when Patton was blushing hard and Roman looked smug. There was a flash and now Virgil looked smug.
The two look over and blush themselves once they realize they’ve been duped. Virgil’s eyes widen when he sees the looks on their faces, now the two are chasing Virgil for the pictures. They eventually all gave up and lay together on the floor. Logan, at first, wanted to suggest a cleaner option but decided against it for once.
Virgil and Roman look at each other from across the other two and pull out their phones. They now all had their own unique wallpapers. They just laid there content for awhile before remembering their original task.
“So Virgil, Is there anything else you were told about planes along the same line as ‘killer lizards’?”
He blushed a bit and said,
“They told me that if you got unlucky enough you’d have to sit in coach where people in the even numbered seats will kiss the people in the odd numbered seats whenever they wanted”
Logan looked greatly upset, as did Roman.
“People should never kiss without consent unless they are confessing love.”
“The seats on Planes are not numbered.”
Patton just frowned at the fact that the dark sides probably took advantage of young Virgil’s naïvety. He rolled across Logan (causing him to grunt out of pain) to Virgil and gave him a kiss on the forehead.
“You are precious and them using that against you to lie about the real world was cruel. Do I have permission to punch Deceit in the face next time we see him?”
Virgil immediately shook his head No with Logan and Roman giving him shocked faces.
“Patton, I believe you are the one who says Violence is never the answer.”
“That’s when people aren’t purposefully taking a highly sensitive person and making them scared of everyday things because they are FrudgerMuckers. No one hurts my babies.”
The others understand and they decide to get up. Logan asks Virgil if, “Just to get some basics down”, he could compose a list and give it to him to fill out. Instead of the expected response of ‘No cuz that’s boring.’ he nodded.
“If they really lied about all this stuff than I wanna know what the real world’s like. If it isn’t actually as scary as it sounds. Speaking of scary, is it true that the statue of liberty will eat any birds that get too close to it’s mouth? Poor birds...”
Virgil was still anxiety, so they expect a certain degree of darkness when saying stuff like this, but nowadays he’s rarely anxious without a clear and decisive reason to be. The group as a whole spends so much time loving him.
This has led to more and more moment like this. Ones where he’s just absolutely adorable. His eyes are wide and bright with curiosity while his form is slightly smaller from still being afraid that it’s true. His sympathy towards the birds give him almost a cat like frown.
The others simply die and give him a group hug. Not really understanding why, Virgil manages to wiggle out of it. Though he does enjoy the hugging, he needs to breathe.
“Wait, does this mean that Lady liberty doesn’t eat birds?”
The others laugh and confirm that she doesn’t. It becomes routine to have Virgil ask a bunch of random questions about things now. About a week later, Logan is making sandwiches for himself and Virgil, who is sitting on the counter. This has become normal lately, Virgil hanging with Logan was already frequent, but just asking questions.
“Do squids have teeth?”
“Yes, they do. Who told you that?”
“oh, well then Deceit’s terrified of squid. He apparently only tells the truth when he’s scared.”
Logan took this information and made sure to remember it. This was to be passed to Roman who would be able to hold a squid in his room until they needed it. In his decision making, he did not anticipate at all for the next question.
“Does sex really only happen with inanimate objects?”
Logan immediately turns around and drags Virgil to Roman’s room. Without knocking, and knowing that Patton was also inside, he pushes Virgil into the room and practically yells,
“Virgil needs to be taught about sex so you two are the best candidates.”
He didn’t want to explain sex to Virgil cuz he was more than enough attracted to him and the whole process would lead to thoughts he could not contain if in the presence of the man he liked.

Arguments Part 2
OH MY GOODNESS, FINALLY, AM I RIGHT?! I know it’s been so long, so here is the second part of Arguments. I actually had a lot of people ask about this and I was like ??? How?? Why?? But all in all, I hope you all enjoy the Part 2, and to those who are waiting for Of Amnesia and Clairvoyancy, I know I said once before that it was in the works (a long time ago but I digress) but I’m going to get to work on that ASAP! Enough chit chat from me, and enjoy!
Pairings: N/A
Warnings: Mentions of fighting, descriptions of fighting, descriptions of physical violence, bickering, arguing, insults, insecurity mention, food mention, cursing, panic attack, hurt/ comfort, if there’s any more, feel free to let me know!
-------------------------------------------
The shock of what he just did crashed into him as he saw Virgil’s stare. He looked...soulless. There wasn’t even the fear he expected to see in his irises. Guilt immediately ate at him as Virgil recoiled, running away from him. “What have I done?” He breathed, staring down at his trembling hands.
“What have you done, Roman?” Logan repeats his statement back at him with a cold bite. “I understand the frustrations of someone disagreeing with you, but resorting to violence isn’t the answer, remember?”
Roman flinched, remembering how it felt when Logan threw that paper ball at him. He couldn’t imagine how Virgil was feeling right now. “Virgil!” He called out, starting to make his way towards the stairs to his room, only to be stopped by Logan stepping in front of him.
“That is not a good idea,” he insisted, folding his arms over his chest. “He is clearly distressed and seeing you would probably make it worse.”
Guilt hit him again as he avoided eye contact, “But I want to apologize-”
“Give him time kiddo,” Patton placed a hand on his shoulder. “It’s best if I go to calm him down and you two can talk it out later, okay?”
Roman took a deep breath as he nodded, “Yes, you’re right.”
Patton gave his shoulder a quick squeeze before heading up the stairs to check on the side. Knowing that Roman wasn’t going to confront Virgil, Logan walked away towards the kitchen, leaving him alone in the living room. With the silence came the reflection. Why did he get so angry over a stupid comment? And why did he have to take it so far?
No matter how angry he got at Virgil, he never laid a hand on him. It was always verbal fights and it never escalated like that before. Why did he do that? He wandered over to the couch, slumping down with a sigh. Rubbing his face with his hands, the memory of his hands shoving Virgil, grabbing him, and then finally his lifeless expression, haunted him like nothing had before. There were knots in his stomach as he wondered what he was doing. Was he having a panic attack? If so, it was completely his fault. He was glad that Patton went to check on him.
-------------------------------------------
Virgil acknowledged that it was lucky he made it up the stairs and to his room without tumbling onto the floor, but he didn’t dwell on it. His mind was in hyperdrive, repeating the word “disappear over and over again. He locked the door behind him, trying to breathe calmly but failing miserably. He leaned against the door, holding his hands to his chest. He tried to remember the many breathing exercises Logan provided for him, but his knowledge failed him as his thoughts spiraled out of control.
Suddenly, he heard a soft tapping at the door behind him. “Virgil? Kiddo? Can I come in?”
Patton. Sweet, kind, dad-like Patton. His initial instinct was to say no, to tell him to go away, that he was fine. And he was about to say so until a small voice in the back of his mind stopped him. It’s Patton, let him help, it said. For some unknown reason, that was all it took for him to unlock the door, opening it to allow the other side in. Patton entered the room, quickly shutting the door behind him. “Okay, breathe for me, you know what to do,” he immediately held his hands gently, bringing them to his own chest. “Follow my breathing, okay? You’ve got this.”
Virgil attempted to follow his breathing but was struggling. All the way through, Patton continued to coo words of encouragement, remaining patient until Virgil was finally able to breathe calmly. The pair were now sat on Virgil’s bed. Patton remained silent for a few moments until it became apparent that the anxious side wasn’t going to speak up willingly. “Wanna talk about it? I’m sure you’ve got something going on up there,” he poked Virgil’s head lightly.
He let out a halfhearted chuckle as he wrung his hands on his lap. “What if Roman was right? I mean, I said a lot of things that were uncalled for, and I kinda deserved it-”
“No matter what you said, you did not deserve what happened,” Patton insisted. “Sure, both of you said some pretty mean stuff, but he shouldn’t have escalated things.”
He shook his head, “No, I knew I was heading into dangerous territory, yet I didn’t stop. I pushed him, and he finally snapped. And it seems like that’s all I do.” He buried his face in his hands, “I push people until they reach their breaking point. Roman was right. I should just dis-”
“If you finish that sentence, I will fight you,” Patton interrupts him. “I’m sorry I keep interrupting you kiddo, but what you’re saying is just not true. No one wants you to disappear.”
“But he-”
“You were angry, he was angry,” he reasoned, placing a hand on Virgil’s back. “Just like you said a lot of stuff you didn’t mean, he did the same.”
Virgil let out a deep breath, nodding to what he said. What Patton said made sense. Looking back on the fight, he regretted what he said, and not just because of how Roman retaliated. He knew he was feeling insecure lately and he used that against him. What was wrong with him? How did they get so riled up to that point? How did the fight even start? What was even the point in letting it go that far?
-------------------------------------------
Roman had dozed off on the couch, not wanting to go up to his room in fear of scaring Virgil somehow. When he drifted back into consciousness, he noticed how dark it was. He cursed quietly to himself as he lifted himself up. Stretching his muscles, he noticed how tense he really was. It was time to go to his bed to rest, though he probably wouldn’t be able to sleep anymore.
“Roman?”
In shock, not realizing that anyone else was in the general vicinity, he jumped, stumbling and falling onto the floor. He recognized the voice and cursed every god he knew. “Virgil…”
The other side stood by the doorway to the kitchen, holding a bowl of what seemed to be macaroni and cheese. “You okay?” He asked, concern in his voice.
“Y-Yeah,” Roman stammered, feeling nervous at the sight of Virgil.
The pair remained the way they were for several moments, awkward tension filling the air. Virgil finally sighed, “Look, I said a lot-”
“I’m sorry!”
Roman had his eyes screwed shut as Virgil stared down in awe, “Wh-What?”
“I’m sorry!” He continued, his voice sounding very hysterical. “What I did was completely unforgivable! I understand if you hate me and never want to be near me again, but I just wanted to lend you my most sincerest apologies! There is no excuse for me to lay my hands on you!”
Virgil stood in stunned silence, not realizing how guilty Roman was feeling. He thought that he thought he was right, and that Virgil should apologize. Apparently, that wasn’t the case. He had never seen Roman like this before. “No, you don’t need to apologize,” he placed the bowl of food on the counter, walking towards the creative side. “I pushed you too far. I knew what I was saying would hurt you.”
“That’s no excuse!” Roman exclaimed, “I shoved you! I held you against the wall! I told you to disappear! I was clearly in the wrong!”
Virgil shook his head, “You only reacted that way because I hit you where it would hurt.”
The pair continued like this while Logan and Patton stood on the staircase, watching the scene unfold before them. They heard the crash of Roman falling and went to check it out. “Looks like they’ve made up,” Patton commented as Virgil helped Roman off the floor.
“Yes, I am satisfied by this development,” Logan smiled softly. “It could be said that their relationship is comparable to that of siblings.”
Patton nodded along as he watched the two bicker about who was more in the wrong, “Yeah, I can see that.”
The scene before them ended with the pair embraced in a tight hug, each one still insisting that they caused it to escalate.

Invisible Memories - Chapter 2
Trigger warning: angst, panic attacks, hatred
If I missed anything, let me know
Want to read this on my ao3?
“Anxiety,” Logan approached the kitchen. He clutched the book in his hands like a lifeline to keep from trembling. “Can we talk?”
“L-Logan,” Anxiety spun around and backed into the corner.
“Since you don't remember, I thought I might tell you about when you fell.”
Anxiety couldn't see where Logan was, or what he was doing, and that terrified him. For all he knew, the logical side was carrying a knife, rather than his hand bound copy of Paradise Lost. Logan didn't meet Anxiety’s eyes, not that the latter could tell. Logan took a breath in, and Virgil held his. “We were arguing. I grew angry with you, and couldn't contain it. I lashed out at you. I pushed you, and you fell down the stairs. You hit your head, which is why you can't remember or see. It's my fault, Anxiety. And I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry,” Logan stepped closer and grabbed Anxiety's hands. Anxiety started shaking. “I love you, Virgil, and I'm sorry. I never should have pushed you. Will you forgive me?”
Virgil shoved past him, still holding his breath. He tripped over Logan's foot and fell. He crawled backwards, trying to get away Logan followed.
“Anxiety breathe. It's okay. Four seconds,” Logan reached out and took Anxiety’s hands again, trying to ground him. Anxiety backed up more, this time into Roman. But all he knew was he bumped into something. All Anxiety knew was he was cornered. He felt the tightness in his chest constrict his heart more to the point where he wanted to scream in pain, but he was afraid to breathe.
“Anxiety,” Roman's voice cut through his panic. “Breathe.”
He couldn't. Breathing was wrong. Breathing meant that he was alive, that he took up space. But all he wanted was to fade into the shadows and hide. He didn't want to be seen, to be touched. He just needed to be invisible. He was desperate to run and hide, but couldn't move. His thought screamed at him. This was wrong. This was bad, dangerous. But he couldn't get out. He couldn't escape. He needed to get away so he could breathe. But that meant moving. And he couldn't. He curled his fingers into his hair, pulling. He felt arms wrap around him and a soothing voice whispering in his ear.
“It's okay kiddo. You're okay. Just breathe. I'm right here.”
“Dad,” Anxiety grabbed onto him for dear life. Patton held the smaller side close, murmuring reassurances in his ear. He looked up at Logan and shook his head as a way of saying ‘not now.’ Logan’s face fell and the logical side sank down into Thomas’s living room, where their host was having a panic attack only slightly lesser than Anxiety’s. Thomas was sitting on the stairs, in Virgil’s spot. That couldn’t be good. Thomas’s anxiety was always increased tenfold when he was there.
“Thomas can you breathe?” Logan tried to gently coax Thomas from his panic. He looked worriedly at the spots of red where Thomas’s fingernails were digging into his palms. He gently uncurled his fists, putting a stress ball in his hands. Thomas instinctively squeezed it. “Breathe with me, I’m going to count,” Logan said, before slowly starting to count backwards from 100. When he got to 0, Thomas had calmed down and was nodding with each count. “Good, I’m proud of you Thomas,” he smiled reassuringly.
Thomas looked up. “L-Logan?!” He squeaked. “Get away fro me!” He pushed the logical side into his place. “Get out get out!” Logan had never seen Thomas react this way to seeing him, and it stung. This hurt almost as much as Virgil being afraid of him, and he knew it was his own damn fault.
I never should have gotten angry, he chastised himself as he sank down. He fled to his room, not letting his tears escape his eyes. He collapsed against the inside of his door, shaking. They hate me, he curled around himself. They hate me they hate me they hate me. I hate me. Virgil hates me. I should never have reacted. I’m such a failure. I can never do anything right. In that moment, Logan made a decision. He wouldn’t leave his room until he could earn back everyone’s trust.
Okay okay! I’m sorry about the long wait! But hey, at least there’s a new chapter!

Abstract: To improve ice accretion prediction codes, more data regarding ice roughness and its effects on convective heat transfer are required. The Vertical Icing Studies Tunnel (VIST) at NASA Glenn Research was used to model realistic ice roughness in the stagnation region of a NACA 0012 airfoil. In the VIST, a test plate representing the leading 2% chord of the airfoil was subjected to flows of 7.62 m/s (25 ft/s), 12.19 m/s (40 ft/s), and 16.76 m/s (55 ft/s). The test plate was fitted with multiple ... from New NASA STI http://go.nasa.gov/2iji3z0
