ineffable bureaucracy is… real?? like really actually real?? what the fuck?!?!! i thought it was just a crack ship but i guess neil saw it and went huh that’s pretty nice actually because THEYRE REALLY ACTUALLY REAL OH MY GOD. i will say despite being really cute, i thought they were a bit cringe at the end, it could’ve been less lovey dovey because those characters just… aren’t? like that?? but the buildup with them meeting up was absolutely GORGEOUS and so cute and so romantic and just… yeah i love them. i think they probably would have been a bit more awkward / reluctant to admit feelings rather than “baby i love you so much you are my heaven you are my hell my darling sweet beloved” but hey. they were cute. NEW SHIP LET’S GO

nina and maggie were really really cute because of the actresses’ chemistry but pretty underdeveloped in my opinion. still i really enjoyed when they were on screen together, i just had different expectations (i was expecting like a romcom, azriaphale and crowley trying to put them together throughout the season, which was eluded to but then just… didn’t happen i guess). still they were very sweet and i really really liked them

saraquel is great, michael’s hair was terrible, uriel is the hottest character, beelzebub’s new look was cool as fuck, i love the repeated gag of that one demon who just seems to have infinite versions of himself and REECE SHEARSMITH DEMON CHARACTER LET’S GO!?!?!! i was not expecting him to have a significant role again and he was so good, furfur is literally amazing and as an inside no 9 fan seeing him and steve pemberton was soooo much fun

we’re all agreeing that the flashbacks were the best part right?? because they were the best part

crowley’s confession was the most perfect in-character thing i have ever seen and i am SO happy with the way it was written and performed, him almost crying and then grunting in frustration i just i can’t i w AAAAAAAAA IT WAS PERFECT

aziraphale’s realisation was also perfect. sheen is so freaking good at being adorable and smitten

the plot was… odd. every actor was amazing, the visuals were amazing, the jokes were hilarious, every episode was extremely enjoyable to watch… but it just felt a little half-baked to me. every scene was tight and again, really fun, but the overarching plot was kind of…??? i’m not a professional writer by any stretch of the imagination but i’m allowed to have an opinion, and my opinion is pretty damn mixed when it comes to the season arc. there’s obviously going to be a season 3 (i say, literally begging neil gaiman on my knees while screaming and sobbing) and so i think season 2 felt so slow and uneventful because it’s supposed to be a kind of bridge between big plotlines. because so much interesting stuff was picked up and then simply put down again. or kind of just… left to float aimlessly in the air and make me confused as to why and how some of it even happened. but honestly i trust neil and the other writers and creatives so… season 3 here we come! overall i really enjoyed it a lot, but the (modern day) plot was just a bit of a weird one for me

Watched Rise of Beasts with @minoan-ophidian today, so here are some of my scrambled sleepy thoughts (under readmore bcs of spoilers)

Mirage made me cry there near the end, HE CANNOT DIE AFTER ALL THIS. He grew up on me and I started caring about him so quick.

I loved how both Noah and Optimus are just trying to look out for their own people but come together in the end. NOAH AND PRIMAL SAVING PRIME WAS ALSO A MOMENT WHERE I JUST WENT YES

Birb wife died and I really, really hoped she wouldn't. I thought that was cosmic rust or something of the like. Atleast Primal was able to come to terms and make her suffering end.

Speaking of Airrazor, I cannot believe she didn't tell others she has been hurt, like Elena saw it and said it doesn't look good, they probably wouldn't be able to completely reverse it but like... Rhinox or Cheetor could stay with her? Or they would know to watch out for her, instead our poor girl looks like she's corroding and gets brainwashed by Scourge.

Elena asking Primal if the Maximals are responsible for things the ancient civilizations accomplished and him chuckling before saying they had nothing to do with it and can't take credit for human ingenuity/imagination ... I do not remember the exact words, but I am OVER THE MOON LIKE YES!! YES, THE CIVILIZATIONS HAD CONTACT BUT THE ALIENS WEREN'T WHY THEY EXISTED AND CREATED MANY AMAZING THINGS!!! I LOVED THAT!

Primal communicating and trusting the humans, the Maximals being part of the community for 100 of years, being able to trust their safety and the safety of the transwarp key... It made me emotional, especially with how Prime initially reacts to having humans help

It also made me panic a lil when Primal entrusts Noah and Elena with the key, because HE BELIEVES NO HARM WILL COME TO IT. AND NOAH ALMOST DESTROYS IT!!! LIKE!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAA!!!!!

PRIME DIDN'T DIE THANK FUCK!!! I know these are supposed to be the prequels to Bayverse movies, but honestly? There could be some mumbo jumbo conjured up as to why "he might be dead, or maybe he survived". It's nice there was no need for that.

Rattrap would be too powerful if he was in the movie, he would steal all the spotlight off of Mirage, so his absence is understandable.

Joking aside, Lynn, why do you spoil me so with such kind and sweet words?! I've been writing this girl for almost seven years since she was among the first five muses on I had on this platform. The little sprouting Sophie has grown a lot throughout the years, but a lot of the past continues with her.

It really much means the world to me that Sophie is able to leave some impact/impression on people. Really, as a writer, that is all we really want: something that causes reaction and helps bridge the understanding of written intent/emotion/etc. between writer and reader. In spite of all the chaos she unintentionally attracts, and even with her slips of somberness, Sophie is a lovely lady and I'm glad you see that! ;A;

I stated it before but I have been often lost in the side games in the Fate-verse and after being exposed to Ha.kuno for so long, she has now infested a big brainworms for Miss Kish.inami. And I already have plans for playing F/ER whenever there is a blasted release date announced for it!!

3. what is your favourite ship? 

I really like Jester/Molly, but Jester/Caleb is probably my otp for the fandom!!! (As much as I ever have otps these days). Also, I read a Jester/Caleb/Caduceus fic and that was also *chefs kiss*. And poly!Nein is also good. I love poly ships. But yeah, Jester/Caleb is the Main Ship for me. 

5. who is your favourite character (and why)? 

OUghhhh, my favourite character??? Hrmmmmmmmmmm aaaaaaaaa that’s a hard question..... 

Let’s say that it’s Jester, because she’s the one I talk about the most and she makes me happy fidget a lot!! 

Jester is my favourite because she brings me so much joy. She’s such a neat character, her visual design is awesome, I love trickster characters and I love clerics, so a Trickery Cleric is so up my alley. She’s gorgeous and amazing and I love her accent and I love that she’s so silly but she can also pack a punch but she also cares about her friends a lot!!! 

6. when you think of the fandom, what image comes to mind? 

Matthew Mercer pushing his hair back, or the wonderful weekly art that they showcase after the episode or during the break: I just think it’s so cool that the fandom is so accepted and acknowledged by the creators.

9. favourite fanfiction? 

Strangely enough, I don’t enjoy many Critical Role fanfics, and the only ones I’ve really loved have been the Caduceus/Caleb fics??? Something about them just gets me in the right place. 

Anyways, here’s my favourite, it’s an AU where Caduceus runs a teashop by the graveyard and Caleb is a mourning single father who brings his son often to visit his partner’s (Molly’s) grave. It’s rated M for romance stuff, and I don’t remember if it falls on the lighter or heavier side of that, though. And it also deals with grief and parenting. So caution with reading and all that!!
