popping in randomly after almost an entire month just to talk non stop about the tsaritsa again everyone sit down.
specifically just thinking about the implications of tsaritsa's ideals originally being about love + the abandonment of those ideals to complete her goal of, presumably, destroying Celestia or whatever she's cooking up. to the point even her people don't love her and I probably don't even remember a time her ideals were of love. now it's all just ice and snow and cold.
which makes romantic fics w her even funnier because she's purposely removed this part of herself and suddenly reader walks into teyvat like they own the place (they do) and I can only imagine her reaction. angry, probably. because why you? what are you doing to her that's caused her hundreds of years of strict adherence to rejecting "love" both from others and to others to just. collapse. absolute shattering of her world and you probably don't even know it bc if nothing else she's good at hiding it. a lot of denial. tries to pick you apart and see what's makes you so different.
and oh she just hates it. she loathes it.
basically one sided enemies to lover trope because she can't stand you for a while but if you stick around she starts warming up to you and it makes it WORSE. so much worse. tries to distance herself but your just everywhere and it gets on her nerves because why does she love you? she isn't capable of love, not anymore. she thought she was.
g-d forbid one of the harbingers or PIERRO notices she'd never live it down. might even consider the implications of just killing you (she doesnt). worse if you know about it and act like a brat she will lose her damn mind
just the tsaritsa being an absolutely horrible mess internally.

So the thing that gets me about Starlo — the thing that really gets me — is how much this guy hates himself.
It's not something you notice the first time you're playing, because he's so confident and enthusiastic. He'd almost be cool if he wasn't such a dork. But after replaying the game with the context of where he came from, — and I'll admit, after reading some very interesting, in-depth fanfics and analysis about him, I'll try to link them if I find them again — his character becomes a bit... blurred. How much of this is Starlo, and how much of it is North Star?
Because- because the whole point of his sheriff persona is that he gets to be someone else, isn't it? When he's out there rootin' and tootin', acting out his hero fantasies and trying to imitate the characters from the westerns he admires, he becomes someone much cooler than himself. North Star is everything Starlo wishes he was: the fearless leader, the cunning cowboy, the confident sheriff who saves lives and wrangles bandits and hangs out with humans. Not just some nobody farmer who could disappear in the corn field without anyone noticing, not the son who wastes his time on daydreams.
He craves praise so deeply. That's the big difference between Star and Papyrus, I think, because Papyrus is just so unapologetically himself, while Star... he starts spending more and more time with this mask of greatness he made himself. Because people like North Star. Not Starlo.
North Star is a real sheriff. Not Starlo.
North Star is the one who brings help and hope and fun to monsters. Not Starlo.
North Star is the one worthy of being appreciated. Not Starlo.
And like... he wants to be liked so badly. So much effort is put into making sure North Star is good enough that Starlo tends to assume people hate him. He assumes his parents hate his life choices (they don't; they're proud of him and know he cares), he assumes Clover will laugh at him when he shows his face to them (they don't; despite everything, it's still him), he assumes the reason he fell out with his friends is because he wasn't a good enough sheriff (he knows damn well it wasn't actually Clover's fault, he's not THAT stupid. But he's still desperately grasping at the last pieces of his shattered persona, so if he just works harder, if he does what a real sheriff does and captures this human, then everything will be alright, won't it?)
I really wish we could have gotten more insight on Starlo's relationships and personality before the whole Wild East thing consumed him. Ceroba and the Feisty Five say they miss the old Starlo, but we never really get to know who the old Starlo was. And I don't think he knows either.
Wake the hell up, Star. People started liking you before you were North Star. Go eat some corn and calm down.
Point is, the impostor syndrome goes hard and that's such a mood. He was supposed to be the cool and silly cowboy guy, what the fuck–

Hi! Chapter 1 of the Divorce Era was so so so good! Loved getting those background gaps filled in!
Question: I’m not super familiar with kofi… what’s the best way to comment and leave love on those posts?
Very excited for what’s in store!!
🥹🥹 thank yooou. I’ve… been very sweaty for the last 24 hours. I don’t consider myself a writer so this has been entirely nerve-wracking. So thank you for sharing the kind words!!! I’m so glad you enjoyed it!! The next few I’ve had fun with and will have comics too.
As for commenting/leaving love… uh, I’m open to suggestions… because I was so focused on everything else, I forgot. Oops! But thank you so much for taking the time to send a message!!!

Nektarius Lore
After a little talk with a Friend yesterday, lemme share some Nekt Lore, I never shared here on Discord.
She is my self insert, but with her own lil Story in the Tyria Lore.
(She is also the embodiment of my intrusive thoughts - my inner gremlin)
First some small Ideas I had so far:
She belongs to the Ash-Legion. Her good observing skills made her a good informant.
She had a Warband, but never really connected with them - due to her often choose to be alone. Too many people exhausted her.
One of her first good friends among Charr was prob. Rolan (Belongs to @/BrightWingedBat), sharing some chaotic energy like her
Later she joins the Order of Whispers and get to know my Champion Vale
She probably ends up as one "background solider" during all the Commander Business
She definitely had some run ins with Valefor
(I have no Idea how this girl survived.)
Talking of survivability, its her secret talent. She survived several accidents - on accident. With more luck than sense.
she is actually deeply afraid of death
While Vale resisted Jormags Words, Nektarius fell for it.
Thinking they could find another way to save Tyria, without killing the Dragons. She felt very sorry for Kralks death - developed a big pity for the elder dragons.
They just wanted to live, like everyone else wants
She becomes branded by Jormag, but due to her chaotic nature he soon grew annoyed of her. Sending her on a mission in hope she never comes back. And when she did, Jormag was long killed by the Commander / Champion.
With a little help of Aurene, she got healed from Jormags influence and kept some of the icy magic.
Some random lil facts:
SAB addict and a Scatterbrain
she has a very sensible nose - and sometimes sneezes a lot (dad sneeze a-TSCHOOO)
loves to play pranks or gamble
She is fascinated by Asura technology, and develops some knowledge about that. Also trying to build some stuff with Asura tech (with less success - wont stop her from trying)
At least she managed to build a "Hunger Games"-like Simulator
She is a kleptomaniac. She sees shiny, its her shiny now!
Very curious, but also quite wary of people. She often stays away.
If she interacts with people its often very chaotic. And she often feels guilty about it.
She has no problem to flirt and smooch every handsome boy / girl - but she has no interest in more. But she would never resist a hug.
When I can choose one NPC to be a canon good Friend to one of my Cats, outside the normal Commander Story - it would be Canach for Nektarius.
I feel they would get along very well. And she would definitly love his Casino - she loves gambling.
But we never - EVER - talk about her debt there.
Due to her friendship to Canach, she don't have to pay back, but it won't stop him from brining it up from time to time like.
Canach: So about your debt.
Nekt: You don't want me to pay it back, right? :slight panic:
Canach: :)
Nekt: Right?! :big panic:
He likes to make fun of it and send her on edge.
She is a recurring visitor there. Not always to gamble, but because she has no home to go to.
She is homeless, since the incident with Jormag.
But what does she do outside of everything else?
She is still a skilled informant and spy. I see her to bring it to use as Mercenary. She is not a powerful fighter - she knows how to protect herself - the magic she inherited from her branded time helps, too - but she will mostly offer getting information or stuff like artefacts, treasures or just to deliver some important letters.
Occasionally smuggles goods.
And when she is not on duty, she definitively drags Rolan into some shenanigans, where HE has to drag them out again.
(Like annoying a certain murder Cat with a grumpy face,... )

I've always liked the hc that Jellicle Mac, Munk and Tugger are brothers, but recently I've been kinda rethinking it as I work on my main au
I still hc Munk and Tugger as (half)brothers, I just like this dynamic for them sue me, and that Munk and Mac had a really close relationship before Mac left the tribe
But now I don't know if it was close as in close friends or partners, or close as in brothers. I mean both would work, but it's just a different flavour of the thing and I don't know which one fits my story better
I mean Mac isn't really the antagonist of this story‚ it's Mefistrap slow burn strangers to friends to lovers or whatever, and Mac just shows up sometimes to cause some chaos or whatever, which sometimes happens to move the plot forward. But he is there a lot in spirit between how similar him and Feliks are in the magic powers department and his relationships with Munk‚ two Demeters and Bombas and some other cats
Like, Mac and Feliks have an extremely similar power set and it does mess with Munk's head a little a lot. Mac literally puts on an illusion on himself and pretends to be Feliks to trick Munk into getting close enough for an easy hit. Which later prompts Feliks to actively pursue a relationship with Munk cuz Munk's description of what happened makes him realise there's more than just friendly vibes between them and he may have a chance with him
And also just a lot of Munk comparing the two of them cuz hey two magical cats he knows that can make fire, mind control everyone around them and stuff
But is he comparing his friend turned lover to his brother or to his ex friend/lover?
