Dabi and his grave

so dabi is a dramatic little bitch as we all know, and I think he’d love the opportunity to fuck with his family. Therefore it is my personal belief that he went to his grave and left really weird things there just to fuck with them.

imagine: you’re one of his siblings, mourning the tragic death of your older brother, who was only a child when he died. You decide to go to his grave to leave flowers and pay your respects. Upon getting there, you find something that nobody in their right mind would leave at a grave. None of the other graves have been messed with, which means this grave in particular was targeted. Nobody sees anything or anyone, so the mystery goes unsolved, and the items placed there get increasingly bizarre.

some things I think he would leave:

a stack of five paper towels, weighed down with a rock

miniature figurines of various things (animals, landmarks, etc.)

a tiny guillotine with an endeavor doll decapitated next to it

printed stock photos of someone flipping off the viewer

various pieces of obsolete technology

extremely old books written in languages none of them know even a single word of

notes, written with his non dominant hand, about very personal and secret things only his family would know about

an actual severed hand/limb

none of these things (except the extremely personal things about his family) have anything to do with either Dabi or Touya, either

“You know, I don’t think we heard you actually laugh out loud during the whole ordeal with Smiley.” Bakugo commented.

“Hm?” Todoroki acknowledged. “I guess not.”

“What, do you just never laugh or something?”

Todoroki glanced over at his classmate. “No.” He said calmly. “It just takes a lot to make me laugh, I suppose.”

“Well that idiot’s quirk worked on me, are you saying you’re better than me?!”

“Bakugo…” Shoto sighed. “Not everything is a competition.”

“Shut up. I wanna hear that laugh.”

Todoroki stared at him now, confused. “What-?”

Then, Bakugo was on him, pushing him back onto the futon. There was a confused, tangled battle of limbs that left Shoto face up on the cushions with Bakugo over him. But that wasn’t the worst of it. Bakugo’s fingers began a swift, calculated swarm of tickling all along Shoto’s middle.

“No- what are you do—?” Todoroki sucked in a gasp of a breath, then slammed his hands up to his mouth on instinct, like he had when Mr. Smiley’s quirk affected him. The sensations were new, foreign, something he had only experienced a few times between siblings or with his mother. Fingers danced along and squeezed his sides. It was electric, tingly, unbearable, embarrassing, and so, so, so ticklish. He was already twitching with held in laughter.

“Come onnnnnnnnn Icy-Hot. I wanna hear that laugh.” Katsuki grinned. He snuck his hands up along Shoto’s ribs and toward his armpits, taking advantage of the other student’s urge to cover his face. “You know you want to~. You know this fucking tickles, and it’s only gonna get worse.” He teased.

Todoroki was shaking now, his body trying to twist out of the way of Bakugo’s tickling fingers but making no progress. The explosive teen gave him no quarter; he always fought hard to get his goals.

When Bakugo wiggled his way into Todoroki’s armpits, the half-and-half student shouted behind his hands. His eyes were squeezed shut and he tried desperately to press his arms down to his sides. Bakugo caught sight of his wide, wobbling smile. It almost looked like he wanted to say something, protest, plead, bargain… but they could both tell that the moment he opened his mouth, the only thing coming out would be laughter.

“You really wanna drag this out? I could go all day.” Bakugo reminded him.

Todoroki shook his head.

“Come on, laugh already!” Bakugo chastised him. He dug into the center of his armpits, growing annoyed.

Todoroki opened his mouth to breath, his cheeks red, and the dam he was trying his hardest to hold back finally broke. “Heh- ahaha- nohohohooho- B-Bakugohoho!” He giggled at first, trying to suppress it. That quickly descended into cackling laughter as Bakugo kept it up, using his fingers under his arms and stretching his thumbs to dig into the tops of his ribs.

“There it is.” Bakugo smirked triumphantly as Shoto laughed and squirmed under him. “That laugh is music to my fucking ears.”

I have a theory on how chapter 430 is going to end and I believe it's going to end with a conversation between bakugou and izuku. Spoilers below

You see, The three main character of my hero academia plus girl lead is izuku, todoroki, bakugou and ochako.

We saw a todoroki character closure with him and his family. After endeavor and shouto took down dabi we saw a change in the family dynamic. Endeavor admit his faults that he wasnt a good father and husband but wants to make up for it(prime example: him visiting dabi whos recovering and lock up in holding everyday). The todoroki's spends time together as a family despite the strain relationship but they working on trying to be a family again.

We saw in the latest chapter mha 429, ochako got her closure with her realizing that she's is grieving over the death of toga. Izuku comforts her and tells her along the lines that he's here for her and that she doesn't need to shoulder all this heavy weight anymore. That she has the class 1a to be right by her side too hence them showing up to comfort her.

The last two characters who needs closure is bakugou and izuku and I feel like that's what ties the series together. It comes full circle. It started with them and it's going to end with them. It makes sense to have the last chapter 430 be about them. In chapter 429, bakugou brings up izuku embers from OFA and we know that izuku gave his powers to shigaraki.

My confusion is whether he still has full control of the power or its going to slowly dissipate until he become quirkless again and we all know how much they both want to become heros and bakugou wants to become the #1 alongside izuku.

They gotta have a conversation surrounded OFA and all might can have a part of this too.

Hi anon ☺️ honestly, I think I’m just underwhelmed like there were definitely things I liked and things I didn’t like at all but I’m just like….

For the things I liked:

I loved that we got Shouto asking Touya what his favourite food is, and it almost seeming like Touya wouldn’t answer but he did. Shouto’s “same” was cute, and his face seemed so bright! My two boys are soba loving lads 😭 I wish we got to see them share a bowl!

I loved that Touya was able to cry and he apologised to Shouto, even though technically it most likely wasn’t heard by Shouto but I loved that nonetheless!

I’m so happy that Natsuo’s choice is to go no-contact with Enji, because 1) I love consistency, and it fits with his character and 2) it’s a great show of how choosing to move on and cut contact from someone who hurt you, especially a parent is valid and understandable! The Todoroki family has shown many valid ways of handling abuse/trauma, choosing to forgive, or to not to forgive etc. I also appreciate/love that Enji accepts and understands Natsuo’s decision, he didn’t push any boundaries or undermine Natsuo love it!

I really love Shouto’s talk about his friends being there to support him, and how he is going to become the man that he wants to be!

The things I didn’t like:

Enji reiteration of “I’m going to atone/I’m going to face the consequences for the rest of my life” speeches 🥱 it’s all grand hearing your still going to atone and whatnot, but we’ve heard this before like I’m not trying to hate I just don’t care to hear it anymore! Do appreciate your understanding of Natsuo’s feelings tho!

Touya is slowly dying 😭 but that’s a no brainer of course I’m not going to like that!

That Natsuo didn’t speak a word to Touya, and all we got was “we wanna talk too” from Rei and Fuyumi to Touya 🙃 like good it sets up the idea that they’ll visit him to talk but like…..wow!

Rei’s lack of care for Shouto, and by that I mean in Shouto’s small speech before he departs from them is a call back to her words of comfort to him, and her response is….talking to Enji about how even in hell he has people supporting/watching him as his sidekicks(my eyes rolled into the back of my head seeing that Onima is alive still 🙄) and his driver coming to pick them up, as well as Hawks texting him! P.s I’m not saying Rei doesn’t care for Shouto or doesn’t love him but I just wished she acknowledged him or something!

That Fuyumi got scars 😭 my poor girl, and losing her job but at least she got a new one thanks to a friend!

Natsuo’s haircut 🙃 I’m sorry but it’s ugly, like god damn it Touya you gave all the girls beautiful hairstyles but your barber skills failed you here with Natsuo!

It was an alright chapter, I do wish it was centred around the Todofam completely. Instead of having Hawks and Nagant at the end, but it is what it is! Plus in a way I guess we kinda need them to appear in order for the shift of characters into the next chapter!

Even as cgs for the same regressor, it is hard for Izuku and Katsuki to agree on anything—part of their strength as a cg pair is that they balance each other out. So when it comes to be Halloween time and Shouto wants to dress up, they are once again at odds when the baby says he needs help deciding on a costume. Izuku thinks that they should all three be matchy! Something like the three musketeers, or maybe rock, paper, and scissors. Katsuki, however, does not care for these matchy suggestions. Couldn't he pick less dumb trios? There's no way he's being a stupid rock when he always used to dress up as All Might as a kid, and that was way cooler. Meanwhile Shouto has been taking in their bickering with wide eyes while chewing on his teether. And he sees the obvious solution! Popping his teether out he says they can just be three All Mights, can't they? That's matchy and cool, right? The argument is brought to a firm "end of discussion" when the baby goes back to his chewies.

Shouto bleaching his hair in the middle of the night. He gets tired of the red, the constant comparisons to his dad, and so he buys the cheapest bleach he can find and dumps it on his head.

Katsuki runs into him in the kitchen while he's getting a snack in the middle of the night. And at first he doesn't even recognise him cause ?????? why is there a random dude with half white and half rly patchy orange hair in their kitchen ???

But then Shouto turns around and all Katsuki can see are the dark circles under his eyes and the exhaustion and hurt and he looks so.... sad. so pathetic.

Katsuki doesn't really say anything about the hair. he doesn't say how fucked up it is. because he gets it. a lot of people may think he's obtuse but he'll always understand hating comparisons, feeling second best.

so all he does is pull a chair closer and push shouto onto it.

'sit the fuck down, you've made a mess', but the words have no bite to them.

shouto doesn't say anything as katsuki dampens a towel and gently wipes away the remains of bleach on his skin. he doesn't speak as katsuki makes comments on how he's irritated some spots, how he'll go to his room and grab some ointment for it.

but he does reach up, delicate fingers wrapping around katsuki's wrist, eyes fluttering shut.

and he knows katsuki understands.

* Shoto always felt a connection with him whenever he saw him in battle, never really knew what his feelings about him were. He tried not to think about it too much. Even he realized how similar their quirks were and how they looked after thinking about him. But somehow instead of being scared or grossed out he was interested to learn more.

* Dabi knew who Shouto was off the bat, and resented him at first. But at the same time he wanted to reconnect, to free his brother from the fate he would’ve had. He thinks about it more than he’d like to admit, he thinks about talking to him and finally being close again. Turning him rightfully against their father and seeing his side.

* Their first meeting goes bad, and a fight breaks out. But despite that Shouto doesn’t give up, and neither does Touya.

* When they finally get together, they make a compromise. Shouto really does love being a hero, and Dabi hates heroes. So they become a couple in secret!
