Korean name Nam Hyeon Chul(남현철)- I chose this because Hyeon(현) means "smart" and Cheol(철) means "iron/metal", and the last name Nam(남) because it fits well with the name. "Smart metal".. Get the pun?

Forced Japanese name being Minami(Nam) Kentetsu(Hyeonchul)- He absolutely hates being called this.

Normally speaking fluent English but slipping up once in a while(e.g. Quietly saying '..잘생겼다' instead of 'handsome' when first seeing Alastor, occasionally swearing in Korean instead of English, etc.)

Born in 1931 in Korea, grew up under the Japanese government until the independence(1945). He was frequently bullied by the Japanese children and though he had an aptitude for technology, he was ignored and ridiculed because he was Korean.

His mother died after his brother was born and his father got arrested for disobeying the authorities. They're both in Heaven.

He had four younger siblings- three sisters and one brother- and always dutifully cared for them. Two of his sisters got captured by the 위안부(An association Japan made to "relieve" their soldiers, they kidnapped young women and got r*ped by them) and only one of them came back. He absolutely loathes Japan even more for this. All of his siblings are in Heaven.

He is fluent in Japanese as well as Korean but highly dislikes speaking it.

He learned English in school but became fluent after falling in Hell.

As the Korean War broke out(1950), Vox, resenting it deeply, immigrated to Japan. With his skills, he worked as an electrician and specialized and was captivated by TVs. Do you have any voice headcannons for your shade of scales characters?

this is an amazing question. sos takes place in Naarm / Melbourne Australia, so a lot of characters have Australian accents which isn't overly common for a lot of voice head canon videos/etc (there are lots of characters from different backgrounds as well, and most have semi-Australian accent mixed with where they are from, but some do not - it is hard to find good voices as most are American and it is very much NOT an american story - something that I'm very into making sure that my characters and story isn't American and isn't adjusted to be easier for US default ism). so im just going to go over some common voice actors / descriptions and say "they're kinda like this" and give some mannerisms I use in the text! Emily: soft, very shy voice but has some confidence. so thinking characters like Glimmer from Shera or Horse from Centaurworld. Generally speaks with full words and doesn't like to shorten words. Katrina: Talks very fast, in short spurts and rambles easily. Vi from Arcane could work but not quite? She's really hard. I was inspired a lot by Peril from WOF when writing her so probably similar to Peril HCs. Jasper: Soft, kind male protagonist archetype with his voice. Thinking of how people might hc Clay from WOF or Alderheart from Warrior Cats. Hayden: Hayden's very much a typical "angsty" male protag type. So any characters that are similar to that kind of voice (think Zuko, Flame & Winter from WOF, and characters like that). Talks very fast. Hyeon: Hyeon's the character I very explicitly describe their voice multiple times. Its very raspy and almost dragon like as they can't shift between forms properly, so their voice is kind of "stuck". They don't speak much and when they do it sounds more formal than you'd expect. Other side characters that I have some info on:

Roxanne: Any character that's associated with Queen Scarlet from wof is kind of almost there? Also Marina (the music artist) as a lot of her songs are Roxanne's theme songs and I made her while listening to a lot of that kind of music. Very sly, very controlled voice. She doesn't lose her composure often so Sen: I havent' posted much stuff on her here yet but she defs has a very typical soft motherly voice, an actual nice mother who cares deeply for others.she would have a fairly heavy South Indian accent as she grew up there then moved to Australia.

also as a side note, the characters in SOS would probably have heavier australian accents than modern australian accents due to that the timeline of sos diverts in 2000, so less american tv and culture could influence accents.

♡     cumplió con los estudios obligatorios que le demandaban sus padres ( que estimo sean el equivalente al bachillerato ) y decidió no continuar en la universidad porque lo considera una pérdida de tiempo, esfuerzo y dinero. siempre ha creído que puede aprender más de manera autónoma y ser mucho más feliz que aquellos que se la viven con el culo en las aulas.

♡     actualmente se llama a sí misma 'guía de turistas' pues se dedica a dar recorridos por los mejores lugares de Paris ( al menos, los que ella considera así ) a aquellos turistas que deciden no acercarse a un módulo de información oficial y que buscan algo diferente a lo que pueden leer en los folletos. hace esto desde los 18 años y ha tenido ciertos problemas con la autoridad, pero es fácil de escabullirse y solo hacen falta un par de días de desaparición antes de volver a la torre eiffel en búsqueda de un nuevo grupo de turistas.

♡     algunos días de la semana, durante las noches, imparte clases de bachata al aire libre ( si alguien quiere anotarse a sus clases es bienvenide ¡! ); y algunas veces, cuando no tiene nada mejor que hacer o cuando su papá le solicita de su apoyo, la verán de traje y sombrero y brinda voz al mariachi. no tiene la voz más bonita del mundo y nunca ha pensado dedicarse de lleno a esto, pero es algo que le gusta hacer porque se siente más unida a esta parte mexicana.

♡     está tatuada, muy tatuada, demasiado tatuada, parece baño de escuela pública. inició con esto de los tatuajes desde los desciséis años a escondidas; tuvo más de una discusión con profesores y sus progenitores más cada pelea era una nueva razón de hacer un nuevo dibujo sobre su lienzo. desde hace unos meses es aprendiz de tatuadora los fines de semana, espera aprender lo suficiente para montar su propio estudio.

♡     desde muy pequeña estuvo inscrita a clases de ballet y aquello que inició como un pasatiempo se volvió en su más grande pasión. siempre inscrita en las academias más prestigiosas y en manos de los mejores instructores del medio, dejándoselo todo en cada presentación. ingresa al conservatorio regional de Paris para especializarse ( actualmente cursa un ciclo en estudios coreográficos ) y trabaja duro para cumplir su más grande sueño: pertenecer al Ballet de la Ópera de París.

(I rarely do headcanons because there’s already a lot out in communities. Even in the Apex community. The writers are incredibe with their work.)

what type of love do you attract?

adventure

Bora cuddling with her girlfriend but everyone just thinks that they are really close friends. Jumin: it’s so good bora found such a great friend to get close to. Hyeon, Lila, seven, Judas: is someone gonna tell him or are we just gonna sit back and watch?

Everyone mentioned here is literally LGBT, in my HC. I am, however, wheezing at this a lot because I HC Jumin as Demiromantic and Ace, so he really can’t wrap his head around the idea that they are anything more than friends at that point so he just kind of: Well, that’s delightful, I’m glad for them.

hyeon   has   seen   how   the   universe   will   end,   though   she   will   never   reveal   it.   some   things   are   far   too   a   gruesome   fate   to   discuss.   'tis   something   that   will   haunt   her   until   the   cosmos   is   finally   returned   to   the   ichor   within   her   veins.   only   to   start   everything   all   over   again   a   few   millennia   later.

she   takes   meticulous   care   of   her   hygiene.   hyeon   will   often   spend   over   an   hour   cleaning   /   grooming   herself   everyday.   though   she   enjoys   others   playing   /   styling   her   hair,   that   is   a   much   more   intimate   interaction   than   she   is   typically   comfortable   with.   so   she   will   instead   style   /   weave   jewels   into   her   hair   by   herself.   nine   times   out   of   ten,   this   is   done   at   the   same   hour,   in   the   same   spot,   every   day.

hyeon   does   not   expect   every   human   /   mortal   to   believe   in   her,   for   she   does   not   even   need   their   belief   to   sustain   herself.   however,   disrespect   is   something   she   does   not   tolerate.   there   is   a   fine   line   between   being   in   disbelief   &&   actual   disrespect.   she   does   not   hesitate   to   smite   someone   from   this   plane   of   existence   for   crossing   said   line.

HMM YOU ALREADY KNOW, WILL... I still love love love the BOTW AU with Zora Hyeon and Princess Celeste! Let the scrawny Zora boy take the princess away pls.

❤- How do you see our muses in a ship?

I love this ship okay. I really do like the whole “Celeste crushed on Hyeon in high school, but didn’t know he felt the same” thing they had going on and I really like how they still go breathless when they see each other again after years.

Overall 8/10 ship for me and one of my faves for Celeste.

❣-  Can you share a cute HC? (Aus accepted.) 

Celeste still has the gameboy color Hyeon gave to her! It’s her favorite handhelds that she can’t leave the house without. 

A few years later, Celeste returns the favor on Hyeon’s birthday and gives him a Nintendo DS on it’s release date along with Super Mario 64

➞- Do you have any HC about their future? 

Romance-wise: Hyeon moves in with Celeste in italy, helps her along the way to find Cassata, but doesn’t get too involved since Celeste doesn’t want him to get hurt. Also Hyeon accidentally getting her pregnant is 100% something that would happen to them.

Otherwise in their regular verse, Celeste and Hyeon make up for what happened before she left and they stay as close friends like how they were in high school.

☘ - How do you image their child would look like?

MMM Their kid’s name is Ryung Song and he’s a precious kid with his mom’s eyes and his dad’s fluffy hair. Probably a round face like Celeste too and a really calm and sweet kid.

Celeste didn’t find joy in getting high until she and Hyeon reconnected with each other.
